Device for Facilitating Artificial Prosthesis Installation with Measured Applied Pressure and Method Therefor
Devices and methods provide for measuring applied pressure on an article, such as a patella construct during a surgical procedure. Embodiments include a clamp having an upper frame arm, a lower frame arm and a clamp assembly, and further include a clamp with a knob assembly and a pressure monitor assembly. Differently sized bushing adapters can be interchangeably employed with a clamp stem to adapt to the relative sizes of objects being clamped.
Contact surface adapter and components for artificial prosthesis installation clamp
In the use of devices and methods for measuring applied pressure on an article, such as a patella construct during a surgical procedure, differently sized and configured clamp bushing adapters can be interchangeably employed with, and removably secured to, a clamp stem to adapt to the relative sizes of objects being clamped. Embodiments of an installation cap can also be provided to assist with proper setup and operation by, for example, removably covering spike elements associated with a working surface of embodiments of the device.
Tool for torsion bar repair
A method and tool assembly (10) for unloading and reloading spring energy from a torsion bar (11) in a torsion bar suspension system of a motor vehicle. The tool assembly (10) includes a generally C-shaped body (14) having a screw shaft (24) threaded through a boss (22) in a lower section (18) thereof. An anti-rotation stem (38) includes a knurled flat face (40) which increases versatility of the tool assembly (10) by enabling anti-slip operation with various vehicle types. A counter-torque tool perch (46) extends from the lower section (18) of the tool body (14) for applying a counter-rotational torque to the body (14) during use of the tool assembly (10).
MODULAR CLAMP SYSTEM
A modular clamp system includes at least one clamp having an L-shaped clamp body. The clamp body is defined by a first leg and a second leg, where the first leg includes a threaded bore extending therethrough, while the second leg includes a threaded channel in which a spring loaded retractable pin is retained. The clamp may further include a handle assembly having an adjustable threaded rod configured to travel back and forth through the threaded bore and to engage a workpiece. The handle assembly has a handle for rotating the handle assembly and may include a hex cap to interface with a drill or wrench. The clamp also includes a pair of spaced apart cleated feet for securing the clamp to a framing such as a half-slotted strut.
Screw clamp
A screw clamp has two clamping arms, between which a workpiece is clamped. In a clamping process, at least one of the clamping arms is moved by an axial movement distance by a clamping unit such that a clamping force acting against the workpiece is built up, which clamping unit can be manually rotationally actuated about an axis of rotation. The clamping unit is a threaded drive containing a radially outer adjustment sleeve which has an internal screw thread and a radially inner threaded stroke element, the external screw thread of which is in thread engagement with the adjustment sleeve internal screw thread and which can be brought into force-transmitting connection with the movable clamping arm. In the clamping process, the adjustment sleeve is rotationally actuated, whereby the threaded stroke element, together with the clamping arm connected thereto, is moved against the workpiece by the axial movement distance.
Tool for alignment of seal segments
An alignment tool includes a mounting flange, a support leg fixedly coupled to the mounting flange and cooperating with the mounting flange to define a partial annular ring that extends in an arc between 190 degrees and 350 degrees, and a second quantity of jack bolt pairs movably coupled to the support leg, each jack bolt pair arranged to engage one of the first quantity of seal segments. A third quantity of mounting fasteners is positioned to fixedly attach the mounting flange to the inner casing.
FIXING SYSTEM
A fixing system has first and second jaw portions and a resilient member. The first jaw portion has a body defining a channel having an internal threaded portion, a mounting interface, and a first jaw. The second jaw portion has a handle component, a second jaw connected to the handle component, a rod connected to the second jaw and selectively moveable between actuated and non-actuated positions and biased toward the non-actuated position by the resilient member, and a connector pivotably connected to the handle component and having an engaging portion. The handle component is received in the channel, and defines a handle channel in which the rod is received. The engaging portion is moveable between disengaged and engaged positions, in which the engaging portion is, respectively, disengaged and engaged from the internal threaded portion. In the disengaged and engaged positions, movement of the second jaw is, respectively, permitted and restricted.
Clamp assembly using pins
A versatile clamp assembly that may be used for securing a device generally to an edge of a structure such as a raised portion of a standing seam of a metal roof. The assembly comprises a mounting body with an open loop having a slot for receiving the raised portion formed by the mounting body attaching the clamp assembly thereto. The assembly is configured with one or more pins that may be configured to be received in one or more push-pin openings formed in the mounting body, whereby the push-pin openings extend from a fastener base portion to a second arm portion. The assembly includes a fastener adapted to be received in a fastener opening formed adjacent the push-pin openings. The fastener is configured to secure and hold the clamp assembly to the standing seam by forcing the pins against the raised portion of the surface disposed in the slot.
Clamp locking mechanism
A clamp release mechanism is provided. The clamp includes a body, a shaft slideably coupled to the body, a fixed jaw, and a moveable jaw coupled to the shaft. A locking component actuates between a locked position and an unlocked position. When in the locked position, the locking component biases the shaft to remain stationary with respect to the body. The clamp includes a securing component pivotally coupled to the locking component, and a biasing element that biases the securing components towards the shaft.
Motorized Clamp Device
A motorized clamp device is provided. The device is comprised of an electric clamp configured to apply and release compressive force on a workpiece. The device comprises a high-torque electric motor operatively coupled to a motor controller, wherein the motor is configured to drive a mechanical assembly that translates rotational motion into linear displacement. The drive assembly connects the motor to a clamp arm that moves toward a fixed jaw to secure an object between the same. Power is provided by a battery and may be monitored through an integrated battery indicator. A control interface is provided for user interaction. The device further comprises a manual release mechanism allowing decoupling of the drive system for manual adjustments and emergency releases. A repositionable handle assembly with an adjustable pivot mechanism is included to optimize ergonomic usage.
