A clamping and spreading device for separating layers of a substrate includes a C-clamp that is configured to fixedly couple to a substrate. A second rod is coupled to and extends from the C-clamp. The second rod is selectively extensible from the C-clamp. A first wedge is coupled to and extends bidirectionally from the second rod distal from the C-clamp. A second wedge is coupled to and extends from the C-clamp. An actuator is coupled to the C-clamp and is operationally coupled to the second rod. The first wedge and the second wedge are configured to insert into a first gap defined by two layers of the substrate. The actuator is positioned to compel the second rod to extend from the C-clamp. The first wedge is compelled distally from the second wedge to separate the two layers of the substrate.

An apparatus according to the present disclosure may include: a length-adjustable elongate member having opposing first and second ends; a first clasp coupled to the first end of the length-adjustable elongate member, the first clasp shaped to at least partially engage an airfoil profile of a first turbine blade positioned circumferentially adjacent to a dovetail slot, relative to a centerline axis of the turbomachine; and a second clasp coupled to the second end of the length-adjustable elongate member, the second clasp shaped to at least partially engage an airfoil profile of a second turbine blade circumferentially positioned adjacent to the dovetail slot, the first and second turbine blades being circumferentially adjacent to the dovetail slot at opposing circumferential ends thereof.

Solid Surface Clamp
20190084128 · 2019-03-21 ·

A solid surface clamp that has a top jaw and bottom jaw, along with alignment structures is disclosed. The clamp includes a top jaw, a bottom jaw, a bolt attached to the bottom jaw and slideably received through the top jaw, and a nut. The bolt has an alignment cutout, a threaded portion extending from the top jaw and defines a bolt longitudinal axis. The nut is threaded onto the threaded portion of the bolt and transitions the clamp from an open position to a clamping position. The top jaw further includes an alignment hole that contacts the alignment cutout and maintains the top jaw and bottom jaw substantially fixed relative to each other about the bolt longitudinal axis. The alignment cutout moves relative to the alignment shaft in the direction of the bolt longitudinal axis when the clamp transitions from an open position to a clamping position.

Beam clamp, and a mounting assembly

A beam clamp for attachment to a flange of a structural building member and from which to support or brace a service component. The beam clamp has a clamp body, and a set screw. The clamp body includes a first jaw section with at least one mounting through hole, a second jaw section, a joining section that interconnects the first and second jaw sections, and a transverse opening that is to receive the flange. A contact surface on the second jaw section is formed with surface irregularities providing a roughness that enhances engagement of the contact surface with the flange. In use of the beam clamp, the contact surface is in contact with the flange of the structural member, the set screw is installed in the mounting through hole, and the flange is secured within transverse opening between the tip of the set screw and the contact surface.

MOUNTING ELEMENT HAVING PRESSURE LIMITATION

A mounting element which allows for safe mounting of a module on a main body, the contact pressure acting on the module or on the main body not exceeding a maximum pressure, comprises a control unit, a resilient clamping element and an actuation element, the control unit comprising a pressure element and a counterpressure element, and the resilient clamping element being connected to the pressure element and to the counterpressure element. The actuation element comprises a tool holder having a mounting recess and increases or reduces a contact pressure of the resilient clamping element between the pressure element and the counterpressure element when actuated in a tightening direction and a release direction, respectively. The mounting element further comprises a displacement element that is connected to the clamping element and fills the mounting recess of the tool holder as soon as the contact pressure exceeds a maximum pressure.

Solid surface clamp

A solid surface clamp that has a top jaw and bottom jaw, along with alignment structures is disclosed. The clamp includes a top jaw, a bottom jaw, a bolt attached to the bottom jaw and slideably received through the top jaw, and a nut. The bolt has an alignment cutout, a threaded portion extending from the top jaw and defines a bolt longitudinal axis. The nut is threaded onto the threaded portion of the bolt and transitions the clamp from an open position to a clamping position. The top jaw further includes an alignment shaft that contacts the alignment cutout and maintains the top jaw and bottom jaw substantially fixed relative to each other about the bolt longitudinal axis. The alignment cutout moves relative to the alignment shaft in the direction of the bolt longitudinal axis when the clamp transitions from an open position to a clamping position.

Device for facilitating artificial prosthesis installation with measured applied pressure and method therefor

Devices and methods provide for measuring applied pressure on an article, such as a patella construct during a surgical procedure. Embodiments include a clamp having an upper frame arm, a lower frame arm and a clamp assembly, and further include a clamp with a knob assembly and a pressure monitor assembly. Differently sized bushing adapters can be interchangeably employed with a clamp stem to adapt to the relative sizes of objects being clamped.

U-JOINT TOOL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20180370002 · 2018-12-27 ·

A press tool employs a drive system that allows a first portion to be displaced relative to a second portion. A drive surface is supported by the second portion. A receiving member defines an engaging surface and a receiving cavity. The receiving member is supported by the first portion along a drive axis extending through the drive surface. Operation of the drive system displaces the drive surface relative to the receiving member.
