Dental tooth grasper
An apparatus for grasping an object includes a base having a cylindrical wall, a circular plate attached to the base, and a screw configured to move a second section with respect to a first section of a circular plate. The circular plate includes the first section having a first face and the second section moveable with respect to the first section and having a second face opposite the first face. The first face and the second face each have at least one recess aligned to create at least one opening for grasping the object when the first face and the second face are brought into proximity with each other. Also disclosed is a method for grasping an object using the disclosed apparatus.
Repeatable Clamping Device
A clamping device is described which enables repeatable positioning of top-tooling relative to a base in all six degrees of freedom. The device utilizes a swiveling pullstud and ramp interaction to achieve preloading in the z-direction while minimizing undesirable lateral loads. The device ensures consistent top-tooling relocation for precision positioning applications such as machining and inspection.
Screw Assembly for a Clamping Device
A screw assembly (1) for a clamping device (4) comprises: a screw (2; 2) with a thread (20) having a thread axis (A) and a handle (3; 3) having a thread section (311) constituting a nut, wherein the screw (2; 2) and the handle (3; 3) are fixed together as a screw-nut assembly, wherein at least one of the thread section (311) of the handle (3; 3) and the thread (20) of the screw (2; 2) is formed at least partially with a geometry varying along the thread axis (A) such that the screw (2, 2) and the handle (3, 3) are engaged by helicoidal wedging.
Hands-free dual clamp device
A hands-free dual clamp device includes two clamping units, each having an upper clamping body, a lower clamping body, a mating portion, and a shaft module. The shaft module is spirally inserted through the upper and lower clamping bodies and is rotatable, so as to enable the upper and lower clamping bodies to be adjustable at angles with respect to each other and cooperatively form a clamping space for clamping an external object. A connecting module includes at least a connecting unit having two opposite end portions, which are respectively provided with a first connecting element and a second connecting element. The first connecting element connected to the mating portion of one of the clamping units, and the second connecting element connected to the mating portions of the other of the clamping units, so that the two clamping units are linked together with the connecting module.
Method and Apparatus for Securing Objects to a Work Surface
An adjustable clamping assembly for securing an object (such as, for example, a board or other workpiece) to a work surface (such as, for example, a work bench or work table). A rigid rod member has a bent base section, as well as a clamping shoulder surface disposed at its distal end. A clamping head is slidably disposed along a portion of the length of the rigid rod member, and can be selectively secured in a place.
REPAIR TOOL FOR DRUM BRAKE
A repair tool for a drum brake contains: a base, a first engagement member, a second engagement member, and a screw rod. The first engagement member is connected with the base, the second engagement member is movably fixed in the base, and the screw rod is rotatably connected with the first engagement member and the second engagement member. The first engagement member includes a first raised portion, a first extension, and a first locking portion, wherein the first locking portion has a first groove and a first notch. The second engagement member includes a second raised portion, a second extension, and a second locking portion, wherein the second locking portion has a second groove and a second notch. The screw rod inserts through the second raised portion and includes a coupling stem and a rotatable portion connected with the coupling stem and located outside the base.
Locking pin tool for use with a locking pin of a wellhead
A locking pin tool to facilitate removal and/or installation of locking pins of a well head assembly includes an elongated shaft and a jaw assembly configured for engaging an end of a locking pin. A hammer body is mounted on the shaft and is movable along the shaft. A hammer stop provided on the shaft engages the hammer body to absorb a striking force from the hammer body as the hammer body is moved along the shaft towards the hammer stop. By moving the hammer body along the shaft, the hammer strikes the hammer stop to impart a force on the locking pin to facilitate removal or installation of the locking pin.
Auxiliary woodworking component
Embodiments of an auxiliary woodworking component may comprise a board having a first side and a second side and a peripheral side edge defining a shape of the board. At least one dovetail shaped first groove is in the first side of the board and having an opening at the peripheral side edge of the board and the at least one first groove extends in a first direction. At least one dovetail shaped second groove is in the first side of the board and having an opening at the peripheral side edge of the board and the at least one second groove extends in a second direction that is different than the first direction. Each of the first and second dovetail shaped grooves is trackless.
Multipurpose woodworker's clamping and spreading apparatus
A multipurpose woodworker's clamping and spreading apparatus consisting of an elongated support bar component and a pair of elongated crossbar components held together by the respective vertically inclined and horizontally inclined sleeving elements of each of a pair of a two-way adjustable bar holder components with each crossbar holding, as well, one of each of a pair of adjustable workholder components via the horizontally inclined sleeving member of each and with each workholder component featuring an externally threaded holding bolt threadably held within the bolt holder thereof welded to the sleeving member and with the ball shaped end portion of a small rod extension from the base of the bolt, rotatably holding a shoeholder element, in turn holding a shoe element, the sleeving member portion of which features sleeving for such holding and the base member portion of which serves to hold work for clamping or spreading.
Clamp and method for operating a clamp
A clamp, comprising a guide rail, a fixed jaw, which is arranged on the guide rail, a sliding jaw, which is displaceable on the guide rail, and at least one spindle, which is arranged displaceably on the sliding jaw and on which there is arranged or formed a pressure piece, with an actuation device, which is spaced from the at least one spindle and which actuable by an operator in order to control a displacement movement of the at least one spindle, with a force application device, which acts on the at least one spindle and by means of which a displacement movement of the at least one spindle is achievable, and with a transmission device, which connects the actuation device and the force application device.
