Hand tool available for operating screw members of three different specifications
A hand tool includes a body provided with a mounting portion. The mounting portion includes six first recessed portions, six second recessed portions, and six locking faces. Each of the first recessed portions includes two grooves. Each of the second recessed portions includes two first arcuate faces and a second arcuate face. Each of the locking faces has a planar shape and is arranged between two of the second recessed portions. Each of the first recessed portions is arranged on one of the locking faces. The locking faces define an imaginary hexagonal portion having six sides coinciding with the locking faces respectively. The mounting portion of the body is mounted on a screw member. The screw member has six ribs received in the second recessed portions. Each of the ribs rests on one of the first arcuate faces.
Socket drive improvement
Sockets, for example, hexagon sockets, dodecagonal sockets, and splined sockets, that have inner surface geometries adapted to engage a flank of a fastener at a point away from a corner of the fastener. In general, the sockets engage the flank of the fastener at a distance of about 30 to 60 percent of half a length of the flank away from the corner of the fastener. This increases the strength and life of the socket, reduces a risk of the fastener becoming locked or stuck in the socket, and reduces the risk of the fastener being stripped or the socket slipping on the fastener.
Portable cylinder assembly torque tool
A tool for torquing a regulator onto a cylinder of a portable cylinder assembly. The tool includes a nut and a socket. The nut is configured to fit around a body of a regulator of a portable cylinder assembly. As such, the nut has a first set of grooves that avoids one or more valve assemblies on the body of the regulator. The socket has a cavity extending therethrough such that the cavity consists of three sections: a top section, a middle section and a bottom section. The top section of the socket is configured to be coupled to a device that applies a torque force on the socket. The middle section of the socket is configured to avoid a case of the regulator which is disposed above the body of the regulator. The bottom section of the socket is configured to be coupled to the nut.
Gas Valve Socket to Turn On or Off Gas Line
A gas valve blade socket for use by a socket wrench to turn on and off a gas line valve, including: a tubular body, with a flat top and bottom, and a vertical side wall; a top cover section positioned on the top; a bottom cover section positioned on the bottom; a cavity formed within the tubular body and between the top and bottom cover sections; an elongated rectangular slot formed in the top cover section and extending to the cavity, having a shape sufficiently sized to fit over a gas line valve blade; and a rectangular opening formed in the bottom cover section and extending to the cavity.
ADJUSTABLE WRENCH
A wrench for rotating a hex head fastener has a frame having one or two jaw faces. If the frame has two faces, they form a 60 degree angle between them. A movable jaw has two faces forming an angle of about 120 degrees relative to each other. A guide connected to the frame controls movement of the movable jaw along a line forming an angle of about 40.9 degrees with respect to a position of one of the frame faces.
METALLIC STUD REMOVER AND A METHOD THEREFOR
In one embodiment, a handheld stud remover and in a second embodiment, a modified hex nut metal stud remover. In addition, there is a method of removing metal studs or bolts from threaded openings using the handheld stud remover and a method of removing metal studs or bolts from threaded openings using a modified hex nut metal stud remover.
Anti-slip fastener remover tool
An anti-slip fastener remover tool includes a torque-tool body, a plurality of paired engagement features, and an intersection point. The plurality of paired engagement features that grips the lateral surface of the stripped fastener head is radially positioned around a rotation axis of the torque-tool body. The plurality of paired engagement features, wherein each paired engagement feature is offset by 30 degrees, comprises a first engagement feature and a second engagement feature. The first engagement feature and the second engagement feature each comprises a bracing section, a cavity section, and a connector section that are adjacently connected to each other. The cavity section of the first engagement feature is adjacently connected to the cavity section of the second engagement feature. The bracing sections of the first engagement feature and the second engagement feature are oppositely positioned of each other about the cavity sections of the first and second engagement features.
ADJUSTABLE SOCKET ASSEMBLY
An adjustable socket assembly includes a collet having a first end, a second end, and a perimeter wall. The second end has a receiving aperture therein. The collet is divided into a plurality a plurality of sections. A sleeve has a bottom end that receives the collet. The sleeve has an interior surface that tapers inwardly and abuts the sections to move toward each other as the sleeve moves toward the second ends of the sections. A biasing member extends through a top end of the sleeve and engages each of the sections. The biasing member is actuated to bias the sleeve downward to close together the sections and engaged the valve actuator. An engagement head is attached to the upper end of the biasing member and engages a tool to rotate the collet.
Socket for driving asymmetric fastener heads
A socket having an offset drive keyway for transmitting torque to asymmetric fastener heads to facilitate their rotation by applying torque across the fastener end to minimize stress on the fastener end-fastener shaft joint.
