A torque wrench is disclosed for use in rotating a range of different sized fasteners. The torque wrench may include an input end configured to receive a torsional input, and a gear train operatively driven to rotate by the torsional input. a driver connected to the gear train and a plurality of clamps disposed at least partially inside the driver. The clamps may be movable to radially engage a range of different sized fasteners by rotation of the driver in either of a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction. The torque wrench may further include a housing configured to enclose the gear train, the driver, and the clamps.

A screwing tool, including an elongate handle which, at each of the two ends thereof, bears a head pivotable about a pivot axis and having two torque transmission flanks in each case and has a force application flank for introducing a force in order to produce a torque on the head remote from the relevant force application flank, wherein, in a pivoting end position of the head, in which a stop of the head lies against a counter stop of the handle, a narrow side of the head functionally directed away from the stop forms an extension of the force application flank. The second head forms an extension of the force application flank and can be used as a hand grip.

Fixed adjustable wrench

A fixed adjustable wrench. The fixed adjustable wrench includes a handle having a fixed jaw and an adjustable jaw forming a gap therebetween. The adjustable jaw is slidable along a shoulder and is adapted to cooperate with the fixed jaw to secure an object within the gap. An engagement member having a first set of teeth is configured to selectively interlock with a second set of teeth of the adjustable jaw. A second end of the engagement member is operably connected to a lever that is selectively moveable between an engagement position and a disengagement position. In the engagement position, the engagement member is coupled to the adjustable jaw via an interlocking of the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth. In the disengagement position, the engagement member is disengaged from the adjustable jaw allowing selective positioning of the adjustable jaw.

An improved parallel-jaws locking wrench/plier with toggle action includes a body element, a fixed jaw, and a moving jaw capable of moving rectilinearly by means of an action cam, which is pivotally connected to a locking lever coupling respectively to the upper ends of a fulcrum bar and a releasing lever thereof. A handle secured to the body element has an axially adjustable screw to regulate the opening of the jaws. This is the chosen embodiment to develop this invention, which enables the toggle wrench/pliers to use interchangeable jaw sets with simple and convenient steps.

Apparatus for driving a bone fixation pin

A bone fixation pin is inserted into a bone with an apparatus comprising a housing having a proximal portion and a distal portion, the distal portion having an inner surface and an opening configured to receive the bone fixation pin; a drive shaft having a proximal end configured to engage a handle and a distal end; and a body having an axis and a peripheral edge. The body comprises a bore along the axis, the bore being configured to slidably engage the distal end of the drive shaft; and a plurality of evenly spaced slots in the peripheral edge of the body. A plurality of chuck arms move radially along the evenly spaced slots in the peripheral edge of the body, each chuck arm having an inner surface and an outer surface, with each chuck arm being biased toward the axis of the body by a first biasing force. The outer surface of each chuck arm slidably engages the inner surface of the housing. The distal end of the drive shaft and the body are within the proximal portion of the housing, with the body being biased toward the distal end of the housing by a second biasing force. Each chuck arm has an engaging surface configured to engage a head of the bone fixation pin, where pressure applied to the engaging surface drives the chuck arms in a radial direction against the first biasing force, and simultaneously drives the body carrying the chuck arms axially against the second biasing force.
