Hand tool device
12005563 · 2024-06-11 ·

A hand tool including a control element for receiving one or more finger digits of a user. The control element is positioned on the body component and may be in the form of an aperture defined by a perimeter surface. A user places one or more fingers within the control element and applies pressure to rotate the body component.

Roller clutch

A locking clutch having an inner race that is rotatable with respect to an outer race. One of the races is cylindrically shaped and rotates adjacent to a race having valleys. Each valley is connected to an inclined surface. Rollers are located adjacent to the valleys. A cage having fingers may be restrained with respect to the valleys to set the starting position of the rollers. The cage may be selectively restrained to determine the direction in which the rollers are wedged to determine a direction that drives the rollers into contact with both races to lock the races with respect to each other. Rotation of the inner race with respect to the outer race in a direction opposite direction is a free rotating direction. The locking clutch is designed to simultaneously engage all of its rollers to evenly distribute the forces amongst them.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL WRENCH

A multi-functional wrench having an adjustable construction and including i) a ratchet mechanism that can be disposed at a plurality of different angular positions with respect to a body of the wrench and ii) a plurality of sockets which are useful for many applications and can accept various bits or tools engageable within the socket. The multi-functional wrench has a body that is archial or curved in shape which is a particular benefit when the wrench is used in difficult to reach areas.

RATCHETING BOX TORQUE WRENCH

A ratcheting box torque wrench is provided. The wrench includes a head and a handle connected to the head. The head has a slipping torque limiter that applies torque to a fastener in a first direction (T) up to a torque limit before slipping in the first direction (T) and ratchets in a second direction (R).

Torque Limiting Ratchet Wrench

A fastener driving device including an elongate shaft extending between the driving head and the handle is provided that has a torque limiting mechanism disposed partially within the handle and extending through the elongate shaft into engagement with the driving head. The torque limiting mechanism enables the driving head to drive the fastener into the substrate without exerting more than a predetermined maximum torque on the fastener, thereby avoiding damage from being done to the fastener and/or the substrate. A ratcheting mechanism is disposed within a torque gear of the torque limiting mechanism to provide a ratcheting function to the tool with a small profile for the tool.

SOCKET WRENCH

A socket wrench for turning sockets has a handle joined to a head having an inside wall accommodating a body including a socket holder. A permanent magnet attached to the socket holder holds a socket on the socket holder. The body has a plurality of ramps facing the inside wall of the head. Rollers engage the ramps and inside wall. A member mounted on the body engages the rollers to selectively shift the rollers relative to opposite end sections of the ramps. First and second permanent magnets on the body and member maintain the member in selected shifted positions to retain the rollers adjacent the end sections of the ramps.

A ratchet wrench (1) is designed such that a clutch ring (500) forms the mid part of an extremely strong laminate like structure. Under torque conditions the compression forces applied to the clutch ring (500) are substantially dissipated around its circumference (507) and inner surface (508), this inward force clamping upon the inherently strong drive outer surface (405). The resultant pseudo laminate like construction of the drive element (400), clutch (500) and housing (201, 202) enables a proportionately stronger ratchet wrench 1 of much reduced depth. The drive element (400) may be used with interchangeable inserts (408).

Locking structure for hand tool

A locking structure for a hand tool contains: a body having a driving head which includes an accommodation chamber and a rib, and between two ends of the rib is defined an opening. The rib has two positioning orifices, the accommodation chamber has an obliquely arcuate groove accommodating a ratchet member which has a toothed rim and two opposite apertures, and a part of each steel ball extends out of each aperture. The ratchet member further has a first trench, a polygonal groove, and a second trench. A cap is covered on the rib and includes a through orifice, an open section, a protruded section, an actuation extension, and two opposite openings so as to house two posts respectively, wherein a part of each post extends out of each opening, and a resilient element is defined between the second trench and the cap.

The ratchet (1) is designed such that the flexible clutch ring (500) forms the mid part of an extremely strong laminate like housing (200) structure, under torque conditions the resultant compression forces applied to the clutch ring (500) are substantially dissipated around its circumference (507) and inner surface (508), this inward force clamping upon the inherently strong drive outer surface (405). The resultant pseudo laminate like construction of the drive (400), clutch (500) and housing (201, 202) enables a proportionately far stronger reduced width ratchet (1).

A locking clutch ratchet wrench (1) is configured such that a clutch ring (500) forms the mid part of aminate like structure. Under torque applying conditions, the compression forces applied to the clutch ring (500) are substantially dissipated around the circumference (507) of the clutch ring. This inwardly directed force clamp against the inherently strong outer surface (405) of the drive element (400). The resultant pseudo laminate structure of the drive element (400), clutch (500) and housing (201, 202) enables the construction of a proportionately stronger ratchet wrench of reduced height or width.
