A clench wrench includes a structure including a handle and an engaging head. The engaging head includes an engaging space extending through front and back sides thereof. The engaging space defines an opening on both the front and back sides. A clenching device is mounted on the engaging head and includes a clenching member. The clenching member includes a clenching portion and is operable in a first mode in which the clenching portion is located at a first position and capable of clenching an object engaged with the engaging head, and a second mode in which the clenching portion is disposed away from the engaging space and is located at a second position and capable of letting the object engaged with the engaging head disengage therefrom.

A switch assembly for a selectively one-way wrench includes a disc and a pusher. The disc includes two hooks, a cutout between the hooks, and an axle extending from the disc. The axle includes first and second faces, an arched face extending between the first and second faces, and an apex formed between the first and second faces. The pusher extends around the axle and includes two arched portions, two flat portions formed between the arched portions, a middle portion formed between the flat portions, and a gap between free ends of the arched portions. The arched portions extend around the arched face.

A holding tool for use in holding a first portion of an item, such as a hydraulic coupling, in a static position, while a torque application tool applies torque and rotates a second portion of the item. The holding tool helps reduce twisting of the first portion relative to the second portion when torque is applied. The holding tool also communicates with a controller when the tool is in use. For example, the tool communicates with the controller in response to a user applying a force to the tool in a direction of the first portion the tool is engaged with. That force releases pressure on a switch that activates a communication signal for communication to the controller. This allows the controller to monitor whether the holding tool was used in conjunction with a torque wrench to tighten the coupling; thereby providing an error reducing function.

Compared with the prior art, the overall structure is more rational and practical, and is safer and more reliable in use, and is capable of loosening or tighten a screw quickly.
