Tools for rotating fasteners, methods of utilizing the tools, and methods of manufacturing the tools. The tools include a gripping region, a fastener receptacle, and an interlock structure. The gripping region is configured to be gripped by a user of the tool. The fastener receptacle is shaped to receive the fasteners and includes a fastener-receiving opening on a fastener-facing side of the tool. The fastener-facing side faces in a fastener-facing direction. The fastener-receiving opening is sized to permit the fastener to enter the fastener receptacle from the fastener-facing side of the tool. The interlock structure is configured to interlock with the fastener while the fastener is received within the fastener receptacle. The interlock structure also is configured to prevent motion of the tool away from the fastener in a fastener-opposed direction, which is opposed to the fastener-facing side of the tool, while the interlock region is interlocked with the fastener.

A stop wrench is provided and includes a handle receiver and a base. The handle receiver includes an outer wall and a back plate. The handle receiver is configured to receive a handle of a first stop valve within the outer wall. The handle abuts the back plate when fully in the handle receiver. The base is attached to the handle receiver and extends from the back plate. The base is configured to be rotated via a tool. Rotation of the base rotates the handle receiver, which in turn rotates the handle to open or close the first stop valve.

A drive head for a wrench is configured for operation with manually driven members of power-operated devices. The drive head includes at least first and second drive members selectively engageable with such driven members.

A wrench includes a head having a first end and a second end and a handle extending from the head. The head defines and at least partially surrounds an opening. The head further defines at least one recess continuous with the opening. A distance between the first end and the second end of the head is greater than a cross-sectional diameter of a pipe flange of a hammer union.

A rotary tool accessory for installing a hood cushion in a vehicle component. The tool accessory includes a base portion structured to contact a hood cushion so as to enable rotation of the hood cushion by rotating the base portion. A hood cushion confinement portion is structured to enclose a portion of the hood cushion so as to limit or prevent radial expansion of the hood cushion during installation of the cushion into the vehicle component. The confinement portion is also structured and adjustably attachable to the base portion so as to control a movement of the base portion toward the surface of the component of the vehicle, such that a portion of the hood cushion extends past the surface of the vehicle component in a direction toward the base portion when the hood cushion has been completely installed in the vehicle component.

A hand tool for use by a user to lock and unlock a locking mechanism to secure a pallet to an aircraft is provided. The locking mechanism is coupled to a floor of the aircraft and includes a release trigger operably connected to a clamp that is designed to engage with a flange of the pallet. The hand tool includes an elongated rod having a top portion, an intermediate portion and a bottom portion, the bottom portion having a hook member with a curved hook portion continuously connected to an end hook portion, the end hook portion having a top slanted surface oriented approximately 5 degrees relative to a first horizontal plane. The elongated rod is designed to maneuver to permit the hook member to communicate with the release trigger of the locking mechanism, thereby unlocking or locking the locking mechanism.

A fastener driving tool includes a loop portion defined by a closed contour having a proximal and a distal end. The loop portion defines a longitudinal internal dimension and is interrupted by a gap at a longitudinal distance from the proximal end. A shank is affixed to the proximal end of the loop, with the shank defining a longitudinal axis of rotation. According to preferable embodiments, the longitudinal distance from the proximal end to the gap is less than one-half the longitudinal internal dimension, and the closed contour of the loop may be selected from a set of contours such as an ellipse, an oval, an ovoid, a trapezoid, a trapezoid having stepped sides, and a rectangle.

The present invention provides a pipe union that uses mechanical advantage from leverage between a locknut with circumferential torque openings coupled to a tubular first portion and a torque ring with torque slots coupled to a tubular second portion to tighten the union. The tightening can occur without the need of a hammer impact on lugs. Initial tightening can at least partially align longitudinally the radial holes with the radial slots. Final tightening can occur by rotating the torque openings relative to the torque slots using mechanical advantage. Optionally, the pipe union can provide for a ratcheting mechanism to turn the locknut on the tubular first portion to engage the tubular second portion and exert a preliminary torque on the union. The pipe union design also provides a self-energizing elastomeric seal or metal seal. Angles on load shoulders can assist in creating preloads on the union to seal the components.

A universal handle attachment for C-clamps. The handle attachment includes a rigid body having a first side to engage a C-clamp, and a second side opposite to engage a rotation tool. In the first side, a first channel and a second channel which are perpendicular with one another each are configured to receive a T-bar of the C-clamp. A center space in the first side at the intersection of the first channel and the second channel is configured to receive a top end of the screw. Each channel includes clip spaces on both sides of the center, and clips situated in the clip spaces. The clips each have an opening to secure the T-bar within the channels.

A device for removing a boat drain plug, having a body with a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end has a first square-shaped opening configured to engage a boat drain plug. The first square-shaped opening features a first notch extending outward from one side and a second notch extending outwardly from a diametrically opposed side. The proximal end has a first handle extending laterally outward from the body, a second handle diametrically opposed to the first handle and extending laterally outward from the body, and a second square-shaped opening disposed between the first handle and the second handle. The second square-shaped opening is configured to engage a socket wrench.
