Tools with engagement sensors and indicators
A tool with an electrical circuit to provide indications whether the tool is properly engaged with a fastener or other workpiece is provided. The tool includes a handle and an end effector configured to engage the fastener or workpiece. The end effector includes sensors arranged on surfaces of the end effector that contact the fastener or workpiece when the end effector is properly engaged with the fastener or workpiece. The sensors are electrically connected to an indicator via an electrical circuit. The electrical circuit causes the indicator to output different indications depending on whether none, some, or all of the sensors are in contact.
Lighted Tool Shaft Attachment
A lighted tool shaft attachment for lighting a work space at a working end of the tool includes a sleeve that comprises an inner wall and an outer wall, which define an interior space. The inner wall also defines a channel that is positioned longitudinally through the sleeve and configured for insertion a shaft of a tool. The sleeve is reversibly couplable to the shaft. A power module is coupled to the sleeve and positioned in the interior space. A plurality of lights is coupled to a first end of the sleeve. A switch, which is coupled to the outer, is operationally coupled to the power module and the plurality of lights. The switch is configured for activation by a user to couple the power module to the lights. The lights are configured to illuminate a work space at a working end of the shaft of the tool.
TOOL COMBINATION
A tool combination includes two housings each having a chamber formed by a base panel and two side panels, an axle and a shaft are secured between end portions of the housings, a tool assembly includes one or more tool members having ring members engaged with the axle and to be pivoted out and selectively folded and engaged into the space that is formed between the housings, another tool assembly includes one or more tool members having ring members engaged with the shaft and to be pivoted out and selectively folded and engaged into the space that is formed between the housings, and one or more tool assemblies are selectively and pivotally attached to either of the housings.
SKATEBOARD MULTI-PURPOSE TOOL
A skateboard tool having a fastener-engaging piece and a nut-engaging piece which work cooperatively to unscrew multiple fasteners simultaneously. The fastener-engaging piece has a handle and a body. The handle is rigidly connected to a shaft which extends into the body and is rotatably connected with a set of interconnected gears. The handle and shaft are rotatable with respect to the body. The body also includes a plurality of fastener-engaging bits that are rotatably driven by the gears. The handle and shaft are rotated, which in turn rotates the gears and rotates the fastener-engaging bits. There is also provided a wrench for engaging, and rotatably locking, nuts secured to the fasteners that are rotated by the fastener-engaging bits. The wrench has an elongated U-shaped body having a pair of legs and a connector base piece. Each of the legs includes at least one nut-receiving socket.
KEY SHAPED MULTITOOL
A multi-tool includes a keyshaped body, the keyshaped body having a key like shape and a standard key size. The keyshaped body includes a rounded end, the rounded end including a aperture for a key chain and a textured surface configured to provide grip to the hand of a user. The keyshaped body further includes a slim extending end, opposite the rounded end, the slim extending end including a tip, the tip having a wedge end, the wedge end shaped such that it functions as a screw driver, the slim end further included a left and right side, the left side having a grooved surface shaped such that it functions as file, the right side including a cutting surface and a lip, the lip providing for a bottle opener in conjunction with an aperture in which the cutting surface is located and using the keyshaped body as a lever arm.
Multiple-bit hand tool including power nut/bit driver
A reversible, multiple-bit, hand tool for driving threaded fasteners and nuts includes a handle and a reversible tool holder assembly. The reversible tool holder assembly is insertable into the handle in either of two orientations to present two different ends provide multiple different configurations for driving different types of threaded fasteners and nuts. The reversible tool holder assembly includes a reversible adapter barrel, a first tool holder, a second tool holder, a first reversible bit holder, and a second reversible bit holder. Each of the tool holders can be selectively used as a nut driver with the holder assembly inserted in either orientation in the handle or can be removed from the adapter barrel and used separately as a power bit driver or a power nut driver (PND) that is received in any conventional chuck of a powered rotary tool.
Tool bit
A tool bit includes a drive portion configured to be engaged by a tool, a shank extending from the drive portion, and a tip coupled to an end of the shank opposite from the drive portion. The tip has a compressive residual stress layer formed by laser ablating the tip with a laser beam to increase a wear resistance of the tip relative to the shank.
Centering support plane screwdriver
Provided are centering, support plane screwdrivers comprising: a retention housing having a top portion with an upper support surface having an outer perimeter and surrounding a central walled recess extending below the support surface, the recess configured to center and receive a screw head, or portion thereof, therein; an optional lip at the support surface perimeter; and a turning face on the retention housing for application of a torquing force. Additionally provided are centering, support plane screwdrivers comprising: a retention housing having a top portion with an upper support surface having an outer perimeter and surrounding a central screwdriver tip extending above the support surface; a lip positioned at the support surface perimeter; and a turning face on the retention housing. Methods for removing or installing a screw assembly (e.g., an espresso machine shower screen assembly) using the screwdrivers are also provided.
