TOOL COMBINATION
A tool combination includes a body having a left portion, a right portion, a top portion and a bottom portion. The left portion and the right portion are symmetric to each other relative to a vertical plane. The top portion and the bottom portion are symmetric to each other relative to a horizontal plane. The left, right, top and bottom portions respectively includes an identical left, right, top and bottom recess, and an identical left, right, top and bottom spaces. Each of the left, right, top and bottom recesses includes a tool set received therein.
Multi-Function Hand Tool
A multi-function hand tool includes a handle and a blade. The handle includes a first distal end and a second distal end opposite the first distal end. The blade includes a tip as a first distal end and a tang as a second distal end opposite the first distal end. The blade also includes a spine and a functional edge opposite the spine. The second distal end of the blade is attached to the first distal end of the handle to allow the blade to extend from the first distal end of the handle with the tip of the blade forming a first distal end of the hand tool and the second distal end of the handle forming a second distal end of the hand tool. The tip of the blade includes a flat tip configured to drive at least a slotted screw head of a screw.
Combination recess for driven fastener
A threaded fastener includes a head end, a shank and an entry end, the head end located at one end of the shank and the entry end located at an opposite end of the shank. The head end includes an end face with a drive recess configured for being driven by multiple drive bit shapes, including a star or six lobe drive, a Phillips drive, a square drive and a flat blade drive.
SCREWDRIVER HEAD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing a screwdriver head, the screwdriver head including a head portion for being inserted into a slot of a screw head and a basal body for supporting the head portion; the manufacturing method including: providing the screwdriver head made of a first metal material; preparing alloying coating; coating the alloying coating on the surface of the head portion of the screwdriver head; conducting laser surface alloying treatment on the surface of the head portion coated with the alloying coating to form an alloyed layer; and conducting low temperature tempering treatment on the screwdriver head after the laser surface alloying treatment. The present invention further discloses a screwdriver head, the surface of the position at which the head portion of the screwdriver head contacts with the slot of the screw head is provided with an alloyed layer formed through the laser surface alloying treatment. The screwdriver head manufactured by the manufacturing method of the present invention has high rigidity and high abrasive resistance in the head portion and high tenacity in other portions, thereby prolonging the service life.
Flat multiple tool
A multiple tool includes a flat assembly having at least a first flat handle portion and a second flat handle portion and at least one removable tool bit. The first and second flat handle portions both present first corresponding engageable features which are able to be interconnected at least indirectly in a flat relationship to at least partially assemble the flat assembly. The first engageable features may also be disconnected so that the first and second flat handle portions are able to be separated. The separated first and second flat handle portions each present second corresponding connectable features which are able to be interconnected with each other in order to assemble a non-flat handle assembly. The non-flat handle assembly also presents at least one tool bit recess which is suitable for receiving the at least one tool bit thereby providing a tool which includes a handle and a tool bit.
Valve assembly with service stop with multiple tool interfaces
A valve assembly includes an inlet to receive a fluid into the valve assembly, an outlet to discharge the fluid from the valve assembly and a service stop coupled to the inlet or the outlet. The service stop can rotate relative to the inlet or the outlet to control a flow of the fluid through the inlet or the outlet. The service stop can include a first tool interface to receive a first hand tool and transfer a first torque from the first hand tool to the service stop to facilitate rotating the service stop using the first hand tool. The service stop can include a second tool interface to receive a second hand tool different from the first hand tool and configured to transfer a second torque from the second hand tool to the service stop to facilitate rotating the service stop using the second hand tool.
TOOL BIT
A tool bit includes a drive portion configured to be engaged by a tool, a shank extending from the drive portion, and a tip coupled to an end of the shank opposite from the drive portion. The tip has a compressive residual stress layer formed by laser ablating the tip with a laser beam to increase a wear resistance of the tip relative to the shank.
HOUSING ELEMENT FOR A WRITING INSTRUMENT AND WRITING INSTRUMENT
A housing element for a writing instrument includes a hollow, sleeve-shaped, elongated base body having an opening for receiving the writing instrument or a pencil lead of the writing instrument at a first longitudinal end. The base body has a second longitudinal end, which is opposite the first longitudinal end, and has a retaining recess that is formed with a polygonal cross section for directly or indirectly retaining a bit in a rotationally fixed manner. A writing instrument including the housing element is also provided.
TWIST-DRIVABLE PIN ASSEMBLY
A twist-drivable pin assembly includes first and second drivers, each having a driving end which can be received in a bore in the end of a twist-drivable pin, and an opposite end at which torque can be applied. The cross-sectional shape of each of the drivers at its driving end has a first plurality of apexes whose relative locations coincide with the apexes of a regular polygon such as a hexagon. The drivers differ from one another in their cross-sectional shapes at the driving end by virtue of one or more faces of at least one of the drivers between adjacent pairs of apexes having a groove formed in it. Each of first and second twist-drivable pins has a bore extending into it which is defined by a second plurality of apexes arranged as a regular polygon such as a hexagon and which is open at one end.
SCREWDRIVER WITH FORCE APPLYING MEMBER
A device for driving a fastener has a shaft and a driving portion formed on an end of the shaft. The driving portion is provided with one of a slot and a channel for securely holding a force applying member formed from a resilient material. When a tip of the driving member is positioned within a tip receiving portion tip portion of the fastener, a surface of the force applying member which faces towards the head of the fastener will frictionally engage with the head portion of the fastener to prevent the driving portion from slipping from the fastener.
