Self-propelling surgical device
The present disclosure is directed to a self-propelling surgical device and method for using the same. The device is configured to drill a hole into an object, such as a bone, and subsequently insert an implant, such as a screw or pin, into the hole. The device drills the hole and inserts the implant under its own power. The device may perform desired actions automatically or manually.
Fastener-installation systems and methods
A fastener-installation system is described that includes a driver to drive a fastener into a structure and a fastener feeder to load the fastener into a loaded position of the driver. The fastener feeder includes a fastener magazine to hold a plurality of fasteners. The fastener-installation system further includes a driver head having a plurality of jaws moveable between a closed position and an expanded position. In the closed position, the plurality of jaws form a piercing tip to pierce material of the structure. Further, the jaws spread apart the material of the structure when the jaws move from the closed position to the expanded position to create a path through the material through which the fastener is driven.
MAGAZINE FOR STORING FASTENERS AND SIMILAR OBJECTS
A magazine for storing elements which each have a shaft and a head. The magazine includes a cylinder defining a shell surface in which is formed a helical-shaped groove. The shaft of each element to be stored can be inserted into the groove while the head of each element protrudes outward radially over the groove. The head of each element can be impacted in the peripheral direction by a suitable carrier in order to move the elements through the groove one after the other to an outlet end of the groove where the elements are ejected individually.

Fastener Dispenser and Presentation via Removable Magazine
A fastener dispenser tool for kitting and dispensing a plurality of fasteners comprises a retention section, a presentation section extending from the retention section, and a retention slot extending along the retention section and the presentation section. The retention slot is operable to retain the plurality of fasteners for dispensing therefore. A presentation slot extends along the presentation section and is sized to receive a tool bit engageable with a lead fastener. The retention slot and presentation slot are sized, such that the plurality of fasteners are each slidable through the retention slot along the presentation section to facilitate dispensing of the lead fastener from the presentation section. The presentation section can be formed at a curve relative to the retention section, to provide clearance of retained fasteners from hardware being fastened by the lead fastener. Associated systems and methods are provided.
