POWERED RATCHETING TORQUE WRENCH
A power tool includes a housing defining a grip portion, a motor having a motor drive shaft, a drive assembly coupled to the motor drive shaft and driven by the motor, an output assembly coupled to the drive assembly and having an output member that receives torque from the drive assembly, causing the output member to rotate about an axis, and a transducer assembly disposed between the grip portion and the output assembly to measure the amount of torque applied through the output member, when the motor is deactivated, in response to the power tool being manually rotated about the axis.
PORTABLE TOOL EQUIPPED WITH A PNEUMATIC MOTOR AND A SUPERCAPACITOR FOR CHARGING A BATTERY-SUPPLYING POWER TO DEVICES
A portable tool with discontinuous operation equipped with a pneumatic motor and an element driven in motion intermittently by the motor by a kinematic chain. The portable tool includes a generator for generating electric energy out of the kinetic energy of the element in motion, and at least one supercapacitor capable of storing the electric energy produced by the generator, and at least one battery. The battery is charged by the supercapacitor when the generator no longer produces electric energy. In this way, the combined use of a supercapacitor and a battery enables power to be supplied for longer periods to accessories embedded in the tool or electrically connected to the tool. The tool recovers the maximum energy produced by the motions and stores it in an embedded battery so as to be able to use it at any time thereafter.
Method of Torque Control and Apparatus Thereof
A method of torque control and a torque control apparatus for a pneumatic torque tool are provided. The method includes: connecting a torque control apparatus between an air supply system and a pneumatic torque tool; under predetermined working and control conditions, driving the pneumatic torque tool at the first and second working air pressures to calibrate output torque, and to obtain maximum and minimum torque values; constructing correspondence relationship between air pressure and torque value based on the first and second working air pressures and the maximum and minimum torque values obtained; entering any target torque value ranging from minimum torque value to maximum torque value of the correspondence relationship to obtain a corresponding working air pressure value and drive the pneumatic torque tool; and verifying whether all working and control conditions are controlled within a predetermined range of variation to control the output torque.
Method for determining the magnitude of the output torque and a power wrench
A method of verifying a magnitude of a delivered output torque during a tightening operation of a threaded joint performed by a hand held power wrench including a housing, a motor, an output shaft, and a power transmission connecting the motor to the output shaft. The method includes: tightening the threaded joint; monitoring a magnitude of a direct torque acting along the power transmission during the tightening by at least one direct torque indicating sensor; monitoring a magnitude of a reaction torque transferred via the housing during the tightening by at least one reaction torque sensor; comparing the monitored magnitude of the direct torque with the monitored magnitude of the reaction torque; and determining, based on the comparison, whether the accuracy of the delivered output torque is acceptable.
ASSEMBLY TOOL SMART CONFIGURATION SELECTOR BY MEANS OF ORIENTATION DETECTION
The present invention provides methods and systems an impact wrench having dynamically tuned drive components, such as an anvil/socket combination, and related methodology for dynamically tuning the drive components in view of inertia displacement, as well as stiffness between coupled components, and with regard to impact timing associated with clearance gaps between the component parts.
Hydraulic crimper tool
A method of operating a hydraulic power tool. The method includes performing an operation with the hydraulic power tool, detecting, with a sensor, an operational parameter during the operation of the hydraulic power tool, and storing a plurality of data points based on the operational parameter and a corresponding sampling time for each of the plurality of data points. The method also includes sending, via a transceiver on the hydraulic power tool, the plurality of data points and corresponding sampling times to an external device, displaying, on a display screen of the external device, an expected data point, and displaying, on the display screen of the external device, an actual data curve based on the plurality of data points and corresponding sampling times. The actual data curve is overlaid on the expected data point.
Pneumatic impulse wrench with power control unit
A pneumatic impulse wrench includes a housing with a motor powered impulse unit, a pressure air inlet passage, an exhaust air outlet passage located in the housing and connected to the motor, and a motor power controlling valve mechanism located in the exhaust air outlet passage for automatic control of the exhaust air flow from the motor. A control pressure passage extends between the air inlet passage and the valve mechanism for communicating actual air inlet pressure to the valve mechanism. An operating mode shifting valve is provided in the housing and which is shiftable between an open position in which communication is allowed through the control pressure passage in an automatic valve mechanism operating mode, and a closed position in which communication through the control pressure passage is blocked in a manual valve mechanism operating mode.
PORTABLE CALIBRATION TOOL
A tool assembly configured to calibrate a hydraulic torque wrench and a method of calibrating a wrench. The tool assembly may generally include a tool including a head, a base, an arm extending between the head and the base, and a strain gauge configured to sense a strain exerted on the tool; and an electronic processor in communication with the strain gauge and configured to calculate a torque based on a sensed strain.
Portable hydraulic pump for use with torque wrench
Disclosed herein is an improved hydraulic torque wrench pump (HTWP) which utilizes a combined filtration system and cooling system for filtering and cooling substantially all the oil returned to the pump including from a hydraulic torque wrench. The hydraulic torque wrench pump includes an electric motor and one or more pumping elements arranged in a protective frame. The electric motor used in association with the hydraulic pump has a high-efficiency design that includes a high power to height ratio and yields efficiency in a range of 90% to 95%. A sealed oil tank is used for storing the oil. The sealed oil tank helps in restricting one or more impurities from entering and contaminating the oil.
