The invention relates to a mobile hydraulic tool with a drive piston hydraulically adjustable between a start position and an end position, a hydraulic tool housing having a cylindrical section guiding the drive piston, and a tractive tool unit or pressing tool unit releasably connectable to the drive piston and the hydraulic tool housing. In order to provide a mobile hydraulic tool in which the movement provided by the drive piston can be used to optionally drive a tractive tool unit and a pressing tool unit, the hydraulic tool housing is designed on one side for arranging the tractive tool unit connectable to the drive piston, and on the other side for arranging the pressing tool unit connectable to the drive piston.

Mounting tool for wheel bearing assemblies

A mounting tool and a method for mounting a wheel bearing assembly, having an inner ring flange and an outer bearing ring, into a bearing seat of an axle body of a vehicle are disclosed. The mounting tool includes a supporting member, two L-shaped holding members, which can be fastened at various positions along the supporting member, and at least one securing means for fastening the L-shaped holding members to the supporting member. The holding members each have a foot section with a recess, the foot sections being insertable in an intermediate space between the inner ring flange and the outer bearing ring in order to engage the outer bearing ring. Each recess has a shape configured to apply an evenly distributed pressure to outer bearing rings of several different dimensions. Hereby a flexible and versatile mounting tool is provided.

ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR OPERATING ON HORIZONTALLY ORIENTED EQUIPMENT

Provided herein is a method that includes coupling a support fixture having a hanging strap to a frame of an assembly at a location vertically above a rotatable shaft of the assembly; vertically supporting the shaft with the strap; temporarily mounting a pulling fixture to the frame of the assembly, the pulling fixture having a bowl-shaped body and a hydraulic ram coupled to the bowl-shaped body, the pulling fixture mounted to the frame such that a second end of the bowl-shaped body is coupled to the frame and the hydraulic ram is operably coupled to a bearing of the assembly; and controlling the hydraulic ram to apply coaxial force to the bearing to remove the bearing from the assembly or to install the bearing into the assembly.

The present invention provides an apparatus, system and method for replacing seats utilizing J-shaped hooks on a puller shaft that may be compressed to pass through the seat and expand back to engage the seat from below for pulling upward and removal.

Systems and methods for preloading a bearing

A system for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft and a press mechanism in fluid communication with a source of fluid and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The press mechanism includes a switch having a base and a piston in communication with the fluid such that an increase in a pressure of the fluid results in the piston extending upwardly from the base and a decrease in the pressure of the fluid results in the piston retracting toward the base. The switch includes a lower proximity sensor and a higher proximity sensor. The piston is configured to extend upwardly from the base past the lower proximity sensor and to trip the higher proximity sensor. The switch is configured to control the increase in the pressure in response to the piston tripping the higher proximity sensor.

Aspects of the present disclosure deal with a tool for removing shaft components from a shaft. In one embodiment, the tool is a shaft component separator with an inflatable bladder configured to wrap circumferentially around a shaft. In one embodiment, the bladder is slotted to form a C-shaped profile so that a user can position the bladder perpendicularly around the shaft, adjacent a removable shaft component. Extending from the bladder is an inflation stem, which enables the user to move the ring between a deflated state and an inflated state via the introduction and/or removal of a fluid. Typically, the user positions the bladder between a fixed component and the removable shaft component, such that the fixed component and removable shaft component form a sandwich arrangement with respect to the bladder. Expansion of the bladder, via fluidic pressure, applies increasing axial force to the removable shaft component until the removable shaft component breaks free from the shaft.
