Each of the first and second ends includes a small diameter portion, a large diameter portion and a shoulder portion disposed therebetween. The rod extends through the slots and includes a sliding portion and a positioning end having a diameter larger than that of the sliding portion. The movable rod is movable between an engaging position where the positioning end contacts a wall defining one of the first and second shoulder portions, and a disengaging position where the positioning end is disengaged from the one of the first and second shoulder portions.

A firing control device for use in a pneumatic tool includes a flow path unit, a conditioning valve and a switch valve. The flow path unit is connected to a main. chamber and an operating chamber of the pneumatic tool. The conditioning valve blocks fluid communication between the main chamber and the operating chamber via the flow path unit. When the switch valve is activated, the pressure in the casing is permitted to move the conditioning valve. The conditioning valve is moved to permit the fluid communication between the main chamber and the operating chamber via the flow path unit when the switch valve is continuously activated by a predetermined time period.

FASTENER-DRIVING TOOL INCLUDING A REVERSION TRIGGER

A fastener-driving tool includes a housing and a workpiece-contacting element movable between a rest position and an activated position. The tool also includes a trigger connected to the housing and movable between a rest position and an activated position, a control valve including an actuating pin, an actuation lever movably connected to the trigger and movable between a rest position and an actuating position adjacent to the actuating pin, and a trigger control mechanism associated with the actuation lever and configured for moving and holding the actuation lever in the actuating position. In a powered mode, the trigger control mechanism causes the-actuation lever to move and remain in the actuating position such that the tool is actuated each time the workpiece-contacting element contacts a workpiece and moves to the activated position causing the actuation lever to contact the actuating pin and initiate an actuation of the tool.

Disclosed is a system, method and apparatus operating on a high-pressure working fluid with high efficiency. The device has a reservoir of high-pressure working fluid. A fluid connection supplies the high-pressure working fluid at a controlled working pressure to a dose chamber to contain a volume of the high-pressure working fluid. A dose valve, biased to close, and able to be triggered open, is present between the dose chamber and a working chamber. A charge of the high pressure working fluid can be released from the dose chamber via the dose valve at a first end of the working chamber, to undergo a first expansion in the working chamber and do work therein to or towards a second end of the working chamber distal from the first end. The dose valve closes again before a pressure front of the charge in the working chamber has travelled less than or equal to halfway between the first end and the second end. This allows a second expansion of the charge to continue doing work. When the work is complete, the working chamber pressure is less than or equal to half the working pressure.

The regulator operates with a fluid for operating the striking mechanism, and keeps the contact lever at an operation standby position where the contact lever is operated by manipulation of the contact arm for a predetermined time period by controlling a flow rate of the fluid.
