Powered fastener driving tool
A powered fastener driving tool such as a powder-actuated tool including a housing assembly including a side wall having a first outer section, a raised section, and a recessed section, the raised section including a rim that extends in an outermost plane of a side wall of the housing and a spring-loaded slidable power setting switch partially positioned in and partially extending from the housing. The spring-loaded slidable power setting switch includes a depressible button movable from a resting position in which an outer surface of the button extends outwardly beyond the plane in which the outer surface of the rim lies to a depressed position in which the outer surface of the button extends in a same or substantially same plane in which the outer surface of the rim lies.
Powered fastener driving tool
A powered fastener driving tool, and particularly a powder-actuated tool including a housing assembly and a strip receiver in the housing assembly, where the strip receiver includes a first guide groove defining wall, an opposing second guide groove defining wall, the first guide groove defining wall and the opposing second guide groove defining wall partially defining a guide groove and configured to guide a load strip to move through the strip receiver and the housing, and a plurality of residue collection pocket defining walls that partially define a plurality of spaced apart residue collection pockets.
Driving tool
A driving tool drives a fastener supplied to a nose using a striking mechanism. The driving tool includes a trigger, a contact arm, a contact lever and a regulator. The trigger receives a manipulation which operates the striking mechanism. The contact arm reciprocates and receives another manipulation which operates the striking mechanism. The contact lever operates according to operations of the trigger and the contact arm and switches operating states of the striking mechanism. The regulator regulates a movement of the contact lever in a range from an operable position where the striking mechanism is operable by the contact lever to an operation standby position where the contact lever is operable by the contact arm, according to a reciprocating movement of the contact arm, and switches operating states of the contact lever according to the contact arm.
Accessory attachment for driven fastener hand tool
An accessory attachment for a driven fastener hand tool is disclosed comprising a mounting block having an attachment channel and an indexing guide feature. A plate for covering a fastener driving channel of the fastener tool has a nose end with chamfered edges on opposing sides towards the fastener driving channel and the attachment channel has opposing lips for seating against the chamfered edges of the nose end of the plate. One or more bolts through the mounting block at a bottom of the attachment channel press the nose end of the plate causing the opposing lips of the mounting block to press against the chamfered edges thereby securing the mounting block to the nose end of the plate. Alternately or additionally, the mounting block can be used to support a range of accessories including, a non-marring pad, a light, such as an LED, a level, and/or an edge guide.
Nail blocking member for nail gun
A nail blocking member for a nail gun. The nail gun includes a firing portion for firing a nail. When an object is pressed upon the nail blocking member by the firing portion, the nail is fired by the firing portion to enter the object. The nail blocking member includes a main body having a contact face, with a formation groove concavely disposed on the contact face, and a guiding block protruding from the formation groove. An object is pressed upon the contact face by the firing portion, and a nail is fired by the firing portion to enter the object to hit the guiding block, such that the nail is guided by the guiding block to move toward the formation groove, so as to be bent along the formation groove and reversely folded back into the object.
FUEL-OPERATED FIRING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A FIRING DEVICE OF THIS TYPE
The invention relates to a fuel-operated firing device for driving securing elements into a substrate, comprising at least one main combustion chamber for a fuel, a driving piston that can be driven out of the main combustion chamber in a firing direction by expandable gases, and a pre-chamber with which an ignition device is associated and in which a pressure acting on the main combustion chamber can build up prior to a fuel-air mixture being ignited in said main combustion chamber. In order to improve the efficacy and/or functionality during the driving in of securing elements, a valve system is associated with the pre-chamber, by which valve system a maximum charge pressure in the pre-chamber can be varied in order to adjust the firing energy provided during the firing operation.

Fastener-installation systems and methods
A fastener-installation system is described that includes a driver to drive a fastener into a structure and a fastener feeder to load the fastener into a loaded position of the driver. The fastener feeder includes a fastener magazine to hold a plurality of fasteners. The fastener-installation system further includes a driver head having a plurality of jaws moveable between a closed position and an expanded position. In the closed position, the plurality of jaws form a piercing tip to pierce material of the structure. Further, the jaws spread apart the material of the structure when the jaws move from the closed position to the expanded position to create a path through the material through which the fastener is driven.
ADAPTER FOR COMBUSTION TOOL FUEL CELLS
An adapter is provided for use in combination with a fuel cell having a closure formation. The adapter includes a fuel cell closure ring configured for engagement upon the closure formation of the fuel cell and including a top edge, a bottom edge, and a sidewall therebetween having an inner sidewall surface and an outer sidewall surface. At least one groove is defined by the inner sidewall and has at least one primary recess in communication with the at least one groove. At least one secondary recess is in communication with the groove. A metering valve has a body and at least one depending leg with a radially extending foot formation configured for engaging the groove. At least one supplemental locking lug is located on the leg and is constructed and arranged for engaging the at least one secondary recess.
