Devices for the Support of Tools
A positionable tool support device is mounted near a work surface for supporting a tool for a user. The tool support device includes a surface mount to secure the tool support device to a support surface. A gravity-balancing articulated arm assembly is coupled to and extends from the surface mount. The gravity-balancing articulated arm assembly is selectively adjustable about both vertical and horizontal axes. A rigid support extension is coupled to the gravity-balancing articulated arm assembly for selective rotation relative to the gravity-balancing articulated arm assembly. A flexible tensile member is coupled to and extends, in a relaxed state, vertically downward from the rigid support extension. The tensile member is coupled to the tool.
Support frame for benchtop power tool
A support frame for a power tool includes a top configured to support a table top and a bottom arranged opposite and parallel to the top. The bottom is configured to support the support frame on a surface when the support frame is in a first position. The support frame further includes a side arranged between the top and the bottom and configured to support the support frame on the surface when the support frame is in a second position. When the support frame is in the first position and the second position, the table top is spaced apart from the surface.
Screwdriver test bench
A test bench for screwdrivers comprises a hydraulic brake unit (11) provided with a coupling (12) for a screwdriver to be tested and angle and torque measurement transducers (15). The brake unit (11) is supplied by a proportional electrovalve (16) under the control of a PID controller (19) which receives an electrovalve control signal (22) from a control unit (26) so as to follow braking curves depending on the angle of rotation and/or torque measured. The bench comprises a memory (21) for storing different sets of parameters for the PID controller (19), which can be selected by the control unit (26) so as to have different control characteristics. A method for controlling the bench is also described.
Rotary tool workbench cradle
The rotary tool workbench cradle embodiment is a structural configuration that uniquely provides dual panel support to the collar and the housing of the rotary tool, utilizing a V-notched, slidable and ratcheted back panel to incrementally elevate the housing of the rotary tool for horizontal positioning. Accessories mounted in the collet of the rotary tool are aligned parallel to the workbench or table top providing a more effective means for a horizontal placement of the cutting tool surface to be sharpened. The parallel alignment of the grinding surface of the rotary tool accessory and the workbench surface to which a tool to be sharpened (chisel, knife, scissors) can be held or mounted, provides for sharpening with more precision. Moreover, the device facilitates the horizontal seating of the rotary tool for the young and for amateurs. Both hands are freed to more safely and effectively secure the workpiece.
Adapters for chain pipe vises
Adapters are described which enable a wide array of tools to be secured and/or mounted in a chain pipe vise. Also described are methods of using adapters with chain pipe vises in order to stably mount tools in the chain pipe vise.
ERGONOMIC AND ELEVATED WORK SURFACE AND A TABLE TOP WORK BENCH
An ergonomic and elevated work surface/top and a work bench having the same. The ergonomic work surface can be maintained in an elevated position by one or more legs, one or more supports (e.g., brackets) attached to a wall or other vertical support or one or more supports extending downwardly from a ceiling or other raised horizontal support. Preferably, the elevated and ergonomic work surface/top is sturdy, rigid and has little or no flex and brings object(s) supported thereby closer to the user's face eliminating or significantly reducing the user leaning over to a position not conducive to proper posture. The top includes contoured/curved/angled sections that provide comfortable and versatile resting surfaces allowing an individual to rest both of his or her arms on for prolong periods without experiencing soreness or other undesirable consequences. The work bench can be portable, collapsible and removably mounted on a primary work structure.
Magnetic levitation gravity compensation device
The disclose provides a magnetic levitation gravity compensation device, including: a first permanent magnet, which is cylindrical; a second permanent magnet, which is cylindrical, arranged in the first permanent magnet and radially spaced from the first permanent magnet; and at least one end permanent magnet, which is cylindrical, and is located on at least one of two axial ends of the second permanent magnet and axially spaced from the two axial ends of the second permanent magnet, a center line of the end permanent magnet is configured to coincide with a center line of the second permanent magnet, and a cylinder wall thickness of the end permanent magnet is smaller than that of the second permanent magnet, wherein a magnetization direction of the first permanent magnet is a radial direction, and a magnetization direction of the second permanent magnet and the end permanent magnet is an axial direction.
RAIL SYSTEM FOR SAWHORSES
A sawhorse rail system includes a plurality of sawhorses having a pair of recesses configured to fit a pair of rails. Each of the pair of rails has a T-shaped protrusion and T-shaped aperture, the T-shaped protrusion of one rail configured to fit in the T-shaped aperture of the other rail. The T-shaped protrusion and T-shaped aperture may further have a recess to accommodate a dog bone shaped connector. The pair of rails also connect with moveable positioners that secure a body forming a work surface.
Chainsaw mount device
A counterbalanced chainsaw mount is provided that includes a pin joint, a suspended counterweight, and a counterweight support assembly between the pin joint and counterweight. The chainsaw mount assists cutting a work piece with a chainsaw, controlling the cutting motion and counterbalancing the chainsaw to prevent kickback. The pin joint is secured to a work table or alternative support, whereby the support assembly secures at one end to the guide bar of the chain saw. Along an opposite end, the support assembly supports the counterweight. The support assembly comprises an intermediate member extending along the chainsaw guide bar and an upstanding member supporting the counterweight. The counterweight is positioned an offset distance away from the distal end of the chainsaw guide bar such that the intermediate member is biased to rotate about the pin joint and therefore elevate the proximal end of the chainsaw guide bar while attached thereto.
Magnetically mountable portable drill assembly
A magnetically mountable portable drill assembly includes a magnetic base adapted to be mountable to a working surface, a housing coupled to the magnetic base, a motor coupled to the housing, an arbor coupled to the motor for rotation by the motor, a cutter coupled to the arbor for rotation with the arbor and adapted to cut the working surface or a workpiece supported on the working surface, the magnetic base having a front surface facing the cutter, and an illuminator coupled to the magnetic base to emit light from the front surface of the magnetic base for illuminating an end of the cutter and either one of the working surface and the workpiece.
