CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOVEMENT OF NECK MECHANISM FOR ROBOT
A control system for a neck mechanism includes a perception system configured to track movement of an object, and a perception control system that controls a rotary motor to yaw a platform and controls a first linear actuator and a second linear actuator that is in parallel with the first linear actuator to pitch and roll the platform according to a target position of the platform. The perception system tracks movement of the object by estimating its position and pose in 3D space and the platform is moved according to a vision-based position and pose estimation result.

A neck mechanism for a robot includes a first linear actuator, a second linear actuator in parallel with the first actuator, a rotary stage, and a support shaft positioned behind and between the first linear actuator and the second linear actuator. The first linear actuator and the second linear actuator are both connected between a platform and the rotary stage via joints, and the support shaft is connected between the upper platform and the rotary stage via a joint. The rotary motor is configured to rotate the rotary stage to yaw the platform and the first linear actuator and the second linear actuator are configured to pitch/roll the platform.
ROBOTIC MANIPULATOR
A manipulator including a shaft driven by a first motor, a rotatable unit, a linear slider, and a gripper is provided. The rotatable unit is coupled to the shaft, wherein the rotatable unit rotates with rotation of the shaft. The linear slider disposed on a first surface of the rotatable unit configured to slide from an initial position proximate to an outer edge of the rotatable unit to intermediate positions and to a final position proximate to a center of the rotatable unit. The gripper coupled to the linear slider to facilitate movement of the gripper along a first plane defined by the first surface of the rotatable unit.
SYSTEM FOR SATELLITE DOCKING FOR EXTENSION OF ITS USEFUL LIFE, OR FOR ORBIT MODIFICATION, INDLUCING SATELLITE DE-ORBITING AND ASSOCIATED CONTROL METHOD FOR SATELLITE DOCKING
A service satellite having a body, a controller and a docking unit including a telescopic arm, mounted on a 6-DOF parallel manipulator, and two additional gripping arms. The telescopic arm, deployed from the 6-DOF manipulator, is equipped with a pair of rapid closure digits. The telescopic arm facilitates capturing the launch adaptor ring of a client spacecraft, even during tumbling. The 6-DOF parallel manipulator has force sensors and can accommodate post capturing relative motion through active compliance control and controlled de-tumbling, for avoiding generation of high forces in the telescopic arm. After relative rate annihilation, the telescopic arm retracts and the client ring is secured to the 6-DOF manipulator with the help of a pair of clamps. After the ring is secured, two additional gripping arms secure a rigid connection with the launcher ring so that the docking connection comprises three equally spaced connections.
AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR PLACING AND FASTENING PANELING MATERIAL FOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS
An autonomous construction robotic system is disclosed which includes a processing unit, a robotic arm, the robotic arm is adapted to be coupled to a central attachment arm and thereby position the central attachment arm according to a plurality of degrees of freedom, a panel handling and fastening system, including a panel handling assembly coupled to the central attachment arm and adapted to pick and place a construction panel onto a framed structure within a construction zone, and a vision system adapted to provide visual information to the processing unit associated with the framed structure, wherein the processing unit processes the visual information to automatically determine placement position of the construction panel on the framed structure.
Fine work assistance system and fine work manipulator
A fine work assistance system is configured such that a parallel link mechanism is used for a slave manipulator activated by a master operation, and a precise motion for microsurgery or the like is performed by remote control. In a slave unit of a master-slave manipulator, the parallel link mechanism with multiple degrees of freedom is used for a link mechanism in which an end effector is movable with respect to a base. Moreover, a tip operation part is driving by a hydraulic driving mechanism such that a plurality of linear actuators supported by the base move one ends of links so as to move the end effector, and the slave unit is activated in response to a user operation on the master unit. This achieves the precise motion of the end effector and causes the end effector to perform operations for a precise work.
Screw actuator for a legged robot
An example robot includes: a leg having an upper leg member and a lower leg member coupled to the upper leg member at a knee joint; a screw actuator disposed within the upper leg member, where the screw actuator has a screw shaft and a nut mounted coaxial to the screw shaft such that the screw shaft is rotatable within the nut; a motor mounted at an upper portion of the upper leg member and coupled to the screw shaft; a carrier coupled and mounted coaxial to the nut such that the nut is disposed at a proximal end of the carrier; and a linkage coupled to the carrier, where the linkage is coupled to the lower leg member at the knee joint.
ROBOTIC ASSISTANT
A robotic assistant includes a wheeled base, a storage unit including drawers, a foldable arm connected to a top of the storage unit and including an end of arm tooling (EOAT) connected to a distal end of the foldable arm, an elevation mechanism positioned on the wheeled base and used to move the storage unit up and down, and a control system that receives command instructions. In response to the command instructions, the control system is configured to move the wheeled base, open or close the one or more drawers, actuate movement of the foldable arm and the EOAT to pick up and place external objects from/to a determined location, and control the storage unit to move up/down.
Non-Planar Linear Actuator
A drive system includes a linear actuator with a drive shaft and having an actuation axis extending along a length of the linear actuator. A motor assembly of the drive system couples to drive shaft and is configured to rotate the drive shaft about the actuation axis of the linear actuator. The drive system further includes a nut attached to the drive shaft and a carrier housing the nut. A linkage system of the drive system extends from a proximal end away from the motor assembly to a distal end. The proximal end of the linkage system rotatably attaches to the carrier at a first proximal attachment location where the first proximal attachment location offset is from the actuation axis.
