The second row-cleaning device is attached to the tow bar via a second frame and includes a second roller device in a trailing position relative to a second furrow-opener disk and configured to crush standing residual plant matter along a second path on the field. The second roller device is offset longitudinally from the first roller device.

A wheel assembly for a multi-row planter comprises a wheel, a connection assembly, and a piston assembly. The connection assembly has a mounting surface adapted to engage a mounting bracket for mounting to a planter bar. The a piston assembly is adapted to permit movement of the wheel assembly between a first folded position and a second extended position. The wheel assembly is slidably coupled to the planter bar such that it may be slidably positioned at any point along the full lateral length of the planter bar.

The spacer can include a first connection flange, a second connection flange, and a spacer member extending upwards from the first connection flange and the second connection flange to define a contact surface.
