Folding knife
A folding knife has an elongated frame defining a major plane and having a pivot element at a pivot end and defining a pivot axis and the frame defining a blade receptacle, an elongated blade occupying the major plane having a tip end and a base end, a spine edge and a cutting edge, and opposed major faces, the base end connected to the pivot element, the blade being operable to pivot between a stowed position in which the blade is received in the blade receptacle and an extended position in which the tip end of the blade extends away from the frame, and the blade having a lock feature proximate the base end, a button lock element connected to the frame proximate the pivot element and operable to selectably engage the lock feature when the blade is in the extended position.
MULTI-FUNCTION STOP MECHANISM FOR FOLDING KNIFE
A multi-function stop mechanism for a folding knife is provided. More specifically, the stop mechanism extends outwardly from the blade and engages a first surface of the handle when the blade is in the open position to prevent over-rotation of the blade and/or engages a second surface of the handle when the blade is in the closed position. Additionally, the outwardly extending stop mechanism may assist a user in opening the blade from the closed position to the open position.
FOLDING TOOL WITH ADJUSTABLE LINER LOCK
A hand tool such as a folding knife with a liner lock that incorporates a mechanism that allows for variance in and adjustment of the blade lockup position. The adjustment mechanism is defined by a rotatable lockface head having plural surfaces, each having a diametrical distance from an axial centerline that is different from adjacent surfaces. Rotation of the lockface head allows for adjustment of the lockup position of the blade.
FOLDING KNIFE HAVING LOCKING FUNCTION
The present invention is to provide a folding knife with a locking function comprising a handle, a blade pivotally connected to an end of handle through a pivot pin, a poke member and a first elastic component; wherein blade includes a locking pin protruded adjacent to pivot pin; e poke member includes a poke part at an end thereof and exposed out of handle. The other end of poke member is pivotally connected between pivot pin and the other end of handle. Poke member includes a locking slot recessed adjacent to a middle section thereof and facing pivot pin. first elastic component includes an end abutted against the middle section, and the other end fixed between poke member and the other end of handle, for applying an elastic force on poke member, so as to ensure locking pin to be engaged into locking slot, when blade is received inside handle.
EASILY DISASSEMBLED FOLDING KNIFE
A folding knife includes a handle, a blade, and an engagement member. The handle has first and second laterally-spaced side portions. The first side portion of the handle includes an engagement opening with first and second portions that are interconnected with each other. The first portion has a larger width than a width of the second portion. The blade is disposed laterally between the first and second side portions of the handle and is pivotable relative to the handle between a closed position and an open position. The engagement member extends laterally from the second side portion through the engagement opening of the first side portion. The engagement member has a head portion with a first diameter and a neck portion with a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The engagement member is moveable relative to the engagement opening between an unsecured position and a secured position.
Handle with Lighting Effect
handle having illuminating features, such as on a utility tool, the handle having a housing made up of a first housing section and a second housing section that mate with each other to define a cavity, the first housing section having a plurality of slots through which an internally positioned set of LEDs can emit. The second housing section may similarly have a plurality of protrusions and a second set of LEDs to transmit light. Translucent diffusers may be positioned between the LEDs and their respective housing sections. The utility tool may have additional tools that are spring-loaded to facilitate opening the tools and maintaining the tools in a closed configuration.
KNIFE WITH LOCK AND RELEASE
A knife including a handle having a first scale coupled to a second scale cooperatively defining a pocket and a slot, a blade assembly pivotably coupled to the handle, and a lock and release mechanism. The lock and release mechanism is at least partially disposed in the pocket and is defined by a monolithic element. The lock and release mechanism includes a base portion and a resilient portion extending from the base portion. The base portion is coupled to the handle and the resilient portion is movable between a static position and a depressed position relative to the base portion to vary the blade assembly between a closed position and an opened position.
THIN PROFILE KNIFE
The present invention is a folding knife having a minimal thickness while maintaining suitable strength and durability. The knife has a first elongated blade with a cutting edge and a tang of predetermined thickness through which a countersunk opening is formed; a knife handle to which the blade is attached for pivotal movement in a first blade plane between first and second terminal positions; and a first pivot mechanism pivotally connecting said first blade to said handle comprising first and second ends and that extends through the handle and the countersunk, the first end being substantially positioned within the first blade plane and the second end being positioned adjacent the handle.
Low Profile Pocket Tool
This invention is directed toward a versatile, low profile pocket tool. The pocket tool contains only a single backing plate and can be made without using any screws, pins, or other fasteners. In that way, the implements can easily be removed and interchanged. The stability of the pocket tool is gained by using an tabs that interlock around a track on the implement. This interlocking facilitates rotation and stability. In embodiments, there can be a single tab and a single track, or multiple tabs and multiple tracks.
Locking mechanism for a folding instrument
A folding knife, including a handle, with at least two parts connected to form a cavity therebetween, and a blade having a sharpened edge and a tang. The blade is rotatable between an open position and a closed position. The blade defines a first plane inside the cavity. The tang includes a step protrusion and a rounded protrusion. A stop pin restricts movement of the blade in an opening direction. The folding knife also includes a locking member rotatable from a first position, allowing the blade to rotate, to a second position blocking rotation of the blade by engaging one of the tang's protrusions. The engagement of the locking member with the step protrusion of the tang locks the blade in its open position, and the engagement of the locking member with the rounded protrusion of the tang locks the blade in its closed position.
