FOLDING KNIFE

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a locking folding knife having a handle lock and a safety switch arranged around and rotatable around a pivot axis of the knife. In an engaged position the switch overlaps at least a portion of the handle lock and prevents it from moving into an unlocked position. A spring, such as a wire form spring, can be arranged within a pocket of the switch, and when the switch is moved between engaged and disengaged positions the spring can be compressed generating a rotational bias on the switch urging the switch toward either the engaged or disengaged position.

A foldable saw is provided in which a latch mechanism for latching and securing a freely foldable saw blade body in its use position can be produced and assembled very easily with a minimum number of components on the basis of an idea different from the conventional ideas and that exerts a favorable latching effect. The foldable saw 1 includes, on a saw handle body 20, a latch body 10 made of spring wire and including a coil section 11, a stop pin section 12, a latch section 13, and an operation section 15. The saw handle body 20 includes at least a seating recess 23, a pin hole 24, and a receiving groove 22. The latch body 10 is configured, in the state of being attached to the saw handle body 20, such that the latch section 13 located in front of the coil section 11 enters into the receiving groove 22 by spring bias, and that the latch section 13 retreats against the spring bias in response to an operation of the operation section 15 located in the rear of the coil section 11.

The present invention provides a power-assisted folding knife, comprising a handle, a blade, a locking mechanism, an assisting mechanism and a second assisting mechanism. The blade is rotatably connected to the handle. The locking mechanism and the second assisting mechanism are provided inside the handle. The assisting mechanism is connected to the handle and the blade respectively. When the blade is in a folded position, the assisting mechanism and the second assisting mechanism are used for locking or unlocking the blade. When the blade is in an unfolded position, the locking mechanism is used for locking or unlocking the blade. When the power-assisted folding knife is unfolded, the assisting mechanism and the second assisting mechanism provide assisting force for the blade and/or the handle.

Power-assisted folding knife

A power-assisted folding knife is provided, including a blade holder, a blade arranged in the blade holder, a handle rotatably connected to the blade holder, a locking mechanism for locking the blade holder in an unfolded position and/or a folded position and a power-assisting mechanism connected to the blade holder and the handle. The power-assisted folding knife uses an assisting mechanism for providing assisting power when unfolding a folding knife, so as to facilitate easier unfolding of the folding knife and to allow single hand operation. Through the locking mechanism, the blade holder can be locked in an unfolded position and/or a folded position to ensure safe use of the power-assisted folding knife.

A folding knife configured for safe and rapid disassembly and reassembly includes an upper handle portion having two engaging grooves respectively adjacent to its two ends, and a lower handle portion having an engaging and pivotally connecting shaft and an engaging and locking shaft respectively adjacent to its two ends. The two shafts are engageable in the engaging grooves respectively. A blade is mounted around the engaging and pivotally connecting shaft and rotatable into and out of a space between the handle portions. A pushable locking member is rotatably connected to the engaging and locking shaft and can be pushed to allow or prevent disengagement between the engaging and locking shaft and the corresponding engaging groove. Thus, user only has to push the pushable locking member, the upper handle portion and the blade will be in a detachable from or securely connected to the lower handle portion as a whole.

An assisted opening knife includes a handle with a pushing key for releasing and locking a blade. The blade is pivotally connected to the handle and has near its rear end a position-limiting post extending into an arcuate position-limiting groove in, and near the front end of, the handle. The assisted opening knife is characterized by the handle having therein a releasing/locking slide plate whose top side is provided with the pushing key and whose front end, a releasing/locking arm movable to a position near one end of the arcuate position-limiting groove. While the blade is stored in the handle, the position-limiting post touches the aforesaid end of the arcuate position-limiting groove and is locked by the releasing/locking arm to prevent the blade from rotation. The blade is rotatable again when the pushing key, exposed from the handle, is pushed and moves the releasing/locking arm away from the aforesaid position.
