Easily disassembled folding knife
Disclosed herein are embodiments of easily disassembled folding knives. In some embodiments, a folding knife includes a blade, a handle including first and second side portions, and a pivot mechanism including respective locking elements which can be used to retain the side portions from lateral separation from one another. In some cases, the locking elements of one end of the pivot mechanism include relatively narrow neck portions with relatively wide, non-circular head portions connected to the neck portions, and the locking elements of a second side of the pivot mechanism include a recess and a corresponding non-circular opening. In some cases, folding knives can be provided with secondary locking mechanisms, liner lock mechanisms, and various other features.
Power-assisted folding knife
The present invention provides a power-assisted folding knife, comprising a handle, a blade, a locking mechanism, an assisting mechanism and a second assisting mechanism. The blade is rotatably connected to the handle. The locking mechanism and the second assisting mechanism are provided inside the handle. The assisting mechanism is connected to the handle and the blade respectively. When the blade is in a folded position, the assisting mechanism and the second assisting mechanism are used for locking or unlocking the blade. When the blade is in an unfolded position, the locking mechanism is used for locking or unlocking the blade. When the power-assisted folding knife is unfolded, the assisting mechanism and the second assisting mechanism provide assisting force for the blade and/or the handle.
FOLDING KNIFE
A folding knife is described herein. The folding knife includes a release actuator that provides three knife positions: a secured closed position, a secured open position, and an intermediate unsecured position in between the two secured positions, and that opens and closes the folding knife easily and safely. A triple-purpose pivot ring provides an index finger grip, an attachment point, and a pivoting mechanism. The release actuator allows for one-handed operation. A blade holder comprises a blade lock that has two positions, one of which locks the blade into position in the blade holder, while the other position unlocks it. The blade lock may be a push button that unlocks the blade while pressing it down, and that automatically return the lock into its locked position by action of a spring, in particular a leaf spring.
BLADE ASSEMBLY AND KNIFE THEREFOR
The invention relates to a blade assembly (40) comprising a blade support (14) and a blade (17) that can be detachably fastened in the blade support (14), the blade support (14) having a blade seat (16) having a contact face (42) for a first blade face (43), and a second blade face (44) opposite the first blade face (43) being substantially freely accessible, wherein the blade support (14) has a holder (20) for holding the blade (17) in the blade seat (16), comprising first interlocking formation associated with the blade support (14) and second interlocking formation associated with the blade (17) that interlockingly hold the blade (17) at least in a plane parallel to the contact face (42), the interlocking formation being designed such that the blade (17) has a degree of freedom in at least one direction (v.sub.1) in order to be detached from the blade seat (16).
The special feature consists in that the holder (20) has a latch (30) having at least one bolt that is movable between a bolted position and a released position, engages over a region of the second blade face (44), and locks movement in the direction (v.sub.1) of the degree of freedom.
FOLDING KNIFE
A folding knife has an elongated frame defining a major plane and having a pivot element at a pivot end and defining a pivot axis and the frame defining a blade receptacle, an elongated blade occupying the major plane having a tip end and a base end, a spine edge and a cutting edge, and opposed major faces, the base end connected to the pivot element, the blade being operable to pivot between a stowed position in which the blade is received in the blade receptacle and an extended position in which the tip end of the blade extends away from the frame, and the blade having a lock feature proximate the base end, a button lock element connected to the frame proximate the pivot element and operable to selectably engage the lock feature when the blade is in the extended position.

FOLDING KNIFE
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a locking folding knife having a handle lock and a safety switch arranged around and rotatable around a pivot axis of the knife. In an engaged position the switch overlaps at least a portion of the handle lock and prevents it from moving into an unlocked position. A spring, such as a wire form spring, can be arranged within a pocket of the switch, and when the switch is moved between engaged and disengaged positions the spring can be compressed generating a rotational bias on the switch urging the switch toward either the engaged or disengaged position.
Folding multi saw
A tool includes a housing, a blade receptacle within the housing configured to receive a removable saw blade having a lock engaging region, and a blade release actuator adjacent to the blade receptacle, the blade release actuator being rotatable about an axis associated therewith and configured to selectively move a lock member into the lock engaging region. The blade release actuator comprises a ramp on which the lock member rests. Rotation of the blade release actuator rotates the ramp under the lock member from a blade locked position where the lock member is pushed by the ramp into the lock engaging region of the removable saw blade to a blade release position where the ramp is rotated to create a gap between the lock engaging region and the blade release actuator such that the saw blade is removable from the tool.
Easily disassembled folding knife
A folding knife can include a handle portion, a pivot element, a blade, a locking element, a cap, and a rotatable wheel. The handle portion can comprise a first side portion and a second side portion. The blade can pivot about the pivot element between an open position and a closed position. The locking element can prevent disassembly of the first and second side portions when the locking element is in a locked position and allow disassembly of the first and second side portions when the locking element is in an unlocked position. The cap can be coupled to the first side portion adjacent the locking element. The pivot element can extend into the cap. The rotatable wheel can be disposed between the first and second side portions and can rotated to selectively retain the first and second side portions together.
FOLDING KNIFE WITH FRAME LOCK GUARD
A knife includes a blade and a handle assembly. The handle assembly is rotatably coupled to the blade, and extends along a longitudinal axis. The handle assembly includes a side frame, a handle frame, a locking arm, and a guard. The handle frame is spaced apart from the side frame and defines a cavity with the side frame. The locking arm is coupled to the side frame and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking arm is defined by an arm length. The guard is coupled to the side frame, and is positioned outward from the locking arm relative to the longitudinal axis. The guard overlays at least a portion of the locking arm along the longitudinal axis, and is defined by a guard length. A ratio of the guard length to the arm length is greater than seventy-five percent.
