Folding knife
A folding knife has an elongated frame defining a major plane and having a pivot element at a pivot end and defining a pivot axis and the frame defining a blade receptacle, an elongated blade occupying the major plane having a tip end and a base end, a spine edge and a cutting edge, and opposed major faces, the base end connected to the pivot element, the blade being operable to pivot between a stowed position in which the blade is received in the blade receptacle and an extended position in which the tip end of the blade extends away from the frame, and the blade having a lock feature proximate the base end, a button lock element connected to the frame proximate the pivot element and operable to selectably engage the lock feature when the blade is in the extended position.
Folding Multi Saw
A tool includes a housing, a blade receptacle within the housing configured to receive a removable saw blade having a lock engaging region, and a blade release actuator adjacent to the blade receptacle, the blade release actuator being rotatable about an axis associated therewith and configured to selectively move a lock member into the lock engaging region. The blade release actuator comprises a ramp on which the lock member rests. Rotation of the blade release actuator rotates the ramp under the lock member from a blade locked position where the lock member is pushed by the ramp into the lock engaging region of the removable saw blade to a blade release position where the ramp is rotated to create a gap between the lock engaging region and the blade release actuator such that the saw blade is removable from the tool.
POLE RETAINER SYSTEM
A spider hub pole retaining assembly may include a hub, poles and a retainer. The hub may include channels extending radially outward in a plane. The poles maybe pivotably coupled to the hub near a center of the hub so as to be pivotable between a first position in which the poles extend radially outwardly through the channels in the plane and a second position in which the poles extend away from the outside of the channels. The retainer may include a top rotatably supported by the hub and hooks extending from the top. The top is rotatable between a retaining position in which the hooks receive the poles when the poles are in the first position and a releasing position in which the hooks are angularly offset with respect to the channels to facilitate withdrawal of the poles from the channels.
FOLDING KNIFE WITH LOCKING MECHANISM
Folding knife embodiments are disclosed herein comprising a blade operable to pivot relative to a handle, between an open position and a closed position, about a pivot axis extending through a tang portion of the blade having at least one locking recess. The knife can have a locking mechanism comprising a rod that extends along the pivot axis through the tang portion and a locking member coupled to the rod which engages the at least one locking recess of the tang portion when the blade is in at least one of the open position or the closed position. The knife can further comprise a push button coupled to the rod, wherein depression of the push button is configured to eject the locking member from the locking recess in the blade, thereby unlocking the blade.
KNIFE CONFIGURED TO RECEIVE BLADE SECURELY AND SAFELY
The present invention is to provide a knife configured to receive a blade securely and safely in a handle thereof. The handle is assembled at least from first to third plates. The blade has one end pivotally connected between the second and third plates. The first plate has a switch groove extending in a front-rear direction and configured to position a locking switch. The second plate has a positioning hole corresponding to the switch groove. A positioning member (e.g., a steel ball) is engaged in the positioning hole. When the blade is received in the handle, an engaging hole in the blade corresponds precisely to the positioning hole so that a user can push the locking switch against a top portion of the positioning member, and consequentially for enabling a bottom portion of the positioning member to extend into the engaging hole, thereby fixing the blade and preventing the blade from exposure.
Folding machete
A knife includes a blade defining an aperture, a first handle and a second handle coupled to the blade. The knife includes a first catch coupled to the first handle and including a first protrusion, and a first spring coupled to the first handle and configured to apply a first biasing force on the first catch, and a second catch coupled to the second handle and including a second protrusion, and a second spring coupled to the second handle and configured to apply a second biasing force on the second catch. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are received within the aperture. The first handle rotates from a first position to a second position in a first direction about a first pivot axis and the second handle rotates from a third position to a fourth position in a second direction opposite the first direction about a second pivot axis.
Utility knife
A utility knife includes a handle base and a neck connected to the handle base for pivotal movement relative to the handle base between a closed position and an open position. The knife also includes a utility blade holder slidingly carried by the neck for sliding movement relative to the neck between a retracted position and an extended position. A utility blade is carried by the blade holder such that movement of the utility blade holder between its extended and retracted positions moves the utility blade between an exposed position in which a cutting edge of the blade is exposed, and a protected position in which the cutting edge of the blade is protected by the neck.
Utility knife
A utility knife including a handle, a blade, a first blade holder, and a spare blade holder. The spare blade holder is pivotal with respect to the handle between an open position where the recess is exposed to allow a spare blade to be removed from the spare blade holder and a closed position where the recess is within a slot of the handle to inhibit removal of the spare blade from the spare blade holder. The spare blade holder further including a cam surface and the cam surface of the spare blade holder engages a cam surface of the handle when the spare blade holder is in the closed position to urge the spare blade holder in a direction from a first longitudinal side of the handle toward a second longitudinal side of the handle to allow the first blade holder to pivot between extended and folded positions.
SPRING-ASSISTED UTILITY KNIFE
A utility knife includes a folding handle in which a neck folds into a handle base. A neck lock locks the neck in its closed or open position relative to the handle base. The neck is spring-biased toward its open position to assist in one-handed opening of the handle. A utility blade and blade holder are slidably carried by neck for manual movement between retracted/protected and extended/exposed positions. The neck cannot be folded into or locked in the closed position if the blade is exposed.
