POWER-ASSISTED FOLDING KNIFE
A power-assisted folding knife, including: a blade holder; a blade arranged in the blade holder; a handle rotatably connected to the blade holder; a locking mechanism for locking the blade holder in an unfolded position and/or a folded position; the power-assisted folding knife further includes a power-assisting mechanism connected to the blade holder and the handle, for providing assisting power when unfolding a power-assisted folding knife. The power-assisted folding knife uses an assisting mechanism for providing assisting power when unfolding a folding knife, so as to facilitate easier unfolding of the folding knife and to allow single hand operation; the blade holder can be locked in an unfolded position and/or a folded position to ensure safe use of the power-assisted folding knife.
Arm blade engagement lock for folding knife
A folding knife having a blade pivoted from a closed position to an open locked position with a combined self-activating sliding release and locking arm. The sliding locking arm is mounted within the knife handle on dual fixed guide and pivot pins within respective arm openings being spring urged there against. Arm projections are engaged by the blade shank during operation moving the locking arm back and up then releasing to slide forward locking the blade in open use position until manual arm engagement by the user against the spring for release and transitional closure.
Power-assisted folding knife
A power-assisted folding knife is provided, including a blade holder, a blade arranged in the blade holder, a handle rotatably connected to the blade holder, a locking mechanism for locking the blade holder in an unfolded position and/or a folded position and a power-assisting mechanism connected to the blade holder and the handle. The power-assisted folding knife uses an assisting mechanism for providing assisting power when unfolding a folding knife, so as to facilitate easier unfolding of the folding knife and to allow single hand operation. Through the locking mechanism, the blade holder can be locked in an unfolded position and/or a folded position to ensure safe use of the power-assisted folding knife.
Automatically opening tool with sliding scale release
An automatically opening tool with a sliding scale release. The assembly includes a modular body; a tool; a gear assembly attached to the tool; a first resilient member for rotating the tool; a sear configured to mate with the gear assembly; a second resilient member for imparting a resilient force to the sear; and cover plates. When the tool is closed, moving the cover plate causes the tool to open automatically.
Folding knife with replaceable blade and locking mechanism
A replaceable-blade folding knife configured for ease of use and ease of transportation in a pocket, bag, purse or otherwise. Embodiments of the present invention allow a user to alternatively open and close the folding knife of the present invention using a single hand. Embodiments of the present invention allow a user to replace a blade with commonly available blades without the need for specialized tools.
AXIS LOCK KNIFE WITH BALL BEARINGS
A folding knife includes a blade having a tang. The tang has a cylindrical wall defining a pivot hole. A bearing counter bore pocket is disposed in at least one side of the tang. At least one bearing is disposed in the bearing counter bore pocket. An axis lock pin is slidingly mounted within slots in either side of a handle. At least one axis lock spring applies a spring bias between the handle and the axis lock pin, pressing the axis lock pin against an outside edge of the tang to transmit a force of the spring bias to the bearing perpendicular to a blade pivot axis to set a manual blade opening force.
VERTICALLY ORIENTED CURVED LINER SPRING FOR KNIFE HANDLE
A liner for a folding knife includes a curved elongated spring to bias a blade of the knife to an open or closed position. The spring may extend in an arc from an origination point to a free end, within a cutout region of a body of the liner. The spring may be J-shaped in one approach. The spring may be integrally formed with the liner or formed as a separate piece which is attached to the liner. The free end may include a shoe to contact a lock stud in a handle of the knife. The origination point may be below and frontward of the shoe. The spring biases the lock stud frontward to lock the blade in the open position. To close the blade, the user moves the lock stud rearward, against a spring force of the spring, allowing the blade to rotate to the closed position.
Locking foldable knife
A locking foldable knife with a locking assembly that reliably locks a blade in an extended position for use is disclosed. The locking assembly utilizes the surface area of a shaped peripheral edge at a second end of a blade, together with, confirming structures of a locking bar, and one or more stops to reliably lock a blade in an extended position. A locking assembly also locks a blade in a folded position in one or more embodiments of the locking foldable knife.
LOCKING FOLDING KNIFE AND KNIFE LOCK MECHANISM
Various embodiments of a folding knife are disclosed. In one embodiment, a folding knife is provided, comprising: a handle including a slot having at least one top surface; a blade pivotably connected to the handle, wherein the blade has a tang including a contoured peripheral surface and an open block engagement tang surface, wherein the blade has an axis of rotation; a locking block translatable on a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the blade, wherein the locking block has an engagement surface positioned to contact at least one of the contoured peripheral surface and the open block engagement tang surface when the blade is in an open position, wherein the locking block has at least two bearing surfaces engaging the at least one top surface along two lines, the at least two bearing surfaces positioned so that a force applied by the blade to the engagement surface is directed along a line between the at least two bearing surfaces.
SECURING STRUCTURE OF FOLDING KNIFE
A securing structure of a folding knife includes a blade and a handle. The blade is pivotally connected to the handle and has a pivotal connection end provided with a first engaging groove and a second engaging groove. The handle has two opposite sides each provided with a first guide hole. A stop block is provided in the handle and has a stop surface for abutting against an abutting surface of the blade. The stop block also has an inclined guide surface. The inclined guide surface is adjacent to the first guide holes and is inclined in a direction from the upper handle edges toward the front handle ends. A pin extends through the two first guide holes and can be engaged in either one of the first and the second engaging grooves and thereby clamped between a wall portion of the engaging groove and the inclined guide surface.
