SHEARS
Shears having two limbs connected at a revolute joint, each limb comprising a handle region at one end and a cutting edge at the other end. One limb is fixed relative to the revolute joint during an opening and closing movement, and one limb is movable. The limbs move between an open position and a closed position while being limited by a stop and, in the closed position, the cutting edges pass each other over substantially their entire length. On the handle side of the revolute joint, one limb extends relative to the other limb such that it is supported in a planar manner on both sides in a region of overlap with the other limb, wherein the limbs comprise surface regions which, in the closed position, rest against one another in the region in which they are on top of each other and are each exposed on the opposite side.

Ergonomic dual mode snips
Ergonomic snips have a pair of pivoted levers each having a forward end formed as a cutting blade and a rearward end forming a hand portion. A first handgrip on one hand portion includes a first anti-slip ear suitable for engaging a user's thumb. A second handgrip on the other hand portion includes a second anti-slip ear to form a finger receiving portion to accommodate one or both of the index and middle fingers of a user to allow a user to either place the second anti-slip ear between the user's index and middle fingers to maximize torque or place the second anti-slip ear between said middle and ring fingers to provide greater cutting control or precision. The distances between a user's thumb and the user's index and middle fingers remain substantially the same in both positions of the hand.
RELIEF GUARD FOR HAND TOOLS
A cutter comprising a first cutting portion having a first cutting edge, a second cutting portion having a second cutting edge and pivotally coupled to the first cutting portion, a relief aperture defined by the first and second cutting portions adjacent the first and second cutting edges, and a relief guard coupled to the first and second cutting portions to at least partially cover the relief aperture such that an object to be received between the first and second cutting portions is restricted from entering the relief aperture.
Shearing Tool
A shearing tool includes a first and second shearing portion and a retaining mechanism. The first and second shearing portions are pivotally engaged with each other. The first and second shearing portions are movable relative to each other between a first relative position and a second relative position. The retaining mechanism includes a first retaining portion and a second retaining portion selectively engagable with each other to retain the first and second shearing portions in the second relative position. The first retaining portion is formed on a first retaining member which is pivotally engaged with the first shearing portions. The second retaining portion is formed on a second retaining member which is connected to the second shearing portion.

SCISSORS
Disclosed are scissors, which comprise handles and scissors heads, the handles comprising a first handle and a second handle, the scissors heads comprising a first scissors head and a second scissors head, the first scissors head being provided with a first blade and extending from one end of the first handle, the second scissors head being provided with a second blade and extending from one end of the second handle, and the first scissors head being pivotally hinged to the second scissors head via a pivoting structure, wherein the first scissors head and the second scissors head have a small width to thickness ratio at the connection between the scissors heads and the pivoting structure. The scissors greatly increase the rigidity of the scissors head, enhance the shear-compression intensity of the scissors, facilitate the cutting of thick objects, and meet the requirements of various objects to be operated.
