In a reciprocating-type electric shaver, an inner blade has an attachment groove which is open downward in a lower end of a side edge. An inner peripheral portion of the attachment groove has an engagement groove which is recessed in an in-plane direction on a wall surface of the side edge and in a longitudinal direction of the inner blade. An inner blade base has a projection at a position corresponding to the attachment groove. The projection can be elastically deformed in the in-plane direction on the wall surface of the side edge and in the longitudinal direction of the inner blade, and is formed so that an engagement claw disposed in a distal end of the projection can enter and engage with the engagement groove. The engagement claw engages with the engagement groove, thereby causing the inner blade to be fixed to the inner blade base.

Electric beard trimmer

The present invention relates to a cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, comprising a pair of comb-like cutting elements each with at least one row of cutting teeth and movable relative to each other, wherein at least one row of cooperating cutting teeth define a convex or concave skin contact surface when viewed in a cross-sectional plane parallel to a reciprocating direction of the cutting teeth and perpendicular to said skin contact surface.

A flex clipper provides a feature to help the cutting blade set float more effortlessly by adjusting automatically to the contours of a client's head to prevent getting stuck and causing cuts and irritation to the scalp. The hair clipper preferably also uses a self-contained motor-driven pivotable adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. One or more on/off switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper to afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition.

Surgical clipper blade assemblies including surgical clipper blades with skin preparation composition

A surgical clipper blade assembly includes a stationary blade and a moveable blade adjacent the stationary blade. The moveable blade is configured to reciprocate relative to the stationary blade to remove hair from a skin area. A blade housing houses the stationary blade and the moveable blade. The blade housing has a guide surface that faces the skin area during a hair removal process. A skin conditioning member in the form of a pad that extends along at least one of a skin facing surface of the stationary blade and the guide surface of the blade housing. The skin conditioning member includes a skin preparation composition. Reciprocating motion of the moveable blade vibrates the skin conditioning member against the skin area as the skin preparation composition is released onto the skin area.

An electric hair cutting device with a blade adjustment mechanism includes a housing. A bladeset is attached to the housing that includes a moving blade and a stationary blade. A blade slide is externally mounted to the housing and mounted to the stationary blade. The blade slide and stationary blade are slidable relative to the moving blade. The electric hair cutting device also includes a taper lever mechanism. The taper lever mechanism allows for adjusting a position of the blade slide and stationary blade relative to the housing. The taper lever defines a rotational axis. The taper lever mechanism has a selectively positionable collar with a first setting and a second setting. In the first setting, rotation of the taper lever about a rotational axis of the taper lever mechanism produces an audible response. In the second setting, rotation of the taper lever does not produce an audible response.
