The first transverse edge portion includes a first upper surface extending from a first edge to the upper surface. The second transverse edge portion includes a second upper surface extending from a second edge to the upper surface. The first transverse edge portion and the second transverse edge portion are beveled from the middle portion to the respective edges of the stationary blade. The stationary blade is symmetric about a midline of the middle portion. In some embodiments, the trimmer includes a toothed blade guard.

Electric shaver and its head

Head (30) of electric shaver (1) includes blade unit (40), head case (31) supporting blade unit (40), and rotary member (80) rotatably supported by head case (31). Blade unit (40) includes outer blades (51 and 61) that contact with a target area and inner blades (52 and 62) provided corresponding to outer blades (51 and 61) and configured to make a reciprocating move relative to outer blades (51 and 61). Blade unit (40) and rotary member (80) are coupled so as to move together relative to head case (31) in a height direction of head case (31). This embodiment enables the head of the electric shaver to move smoothly on the skin.

A flex clipper provides a feature to help the cutting blade set float more effortlessly by adjusting automatically to the contours of a client's head to prevent getting stuck and causing cuts and irritation to the scalp. The hair clippers preferably also uses a self-contained motor-driven adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. Two momentary switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition.

An electric shaver includes a main body, an outer blade that is held by the main body in a state where a surface of the outer blade is exposed, an inner blade that is disposed inside the outer blade so as to be movable relative to the outer blade, and a rotator that has a rotating body disposed in the main body so as to extend in a moving direction of the inner blade, and a supporter disposed in the main body so as to rotatably support the rotating body. The rotator has an elastic body which enables the rotating body to rotate in a state where the rotating body is in contact with a skin, and which restrains the rotating body from vibrating in a state where the rotating body is not in contact with the skin.

Hair cutting device

A hair cutting device having a cutting unit, the cutting unit including a blade carrier carrying a cutting blade that has cutting teeth; a guard blade that has guard teeth. The blade is movable along the blade carrier relative to the cutting blade within a guard length range between a first guard position corresponding to a shortest hair cutting length of the cutting unit and a second guard position corresponding to the longest hair cutting length of the cutting unit. The blade carrier includes a stop configured to prevent movement of the guard blade past the first guard position and outside of the guard length range, thereby preventing the cutting length from being below the shortest cutting length.

Electric beard trimmer

The present invention relates to a cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, comprising a pair of comb-like cutting elements each with at least one row of cutting teeth and movable relative to each other, wherein one of said cutting elements has thickened and/or rounded tooth tips overhanging the tooth tips of the other cutting element wherein said cutting elements each include two rows of cooperating cutting teeth which are different from each other in terms of shape and/or size and/or position of said overhanging tooth tips.

Hair cutting appliance and blade set

The present invention relates to a hair cutting appliance (10) comprising a blade set (20), and to a blade set (20) of a hair cutting appliance (10). The blade set (20) is arranged to be moved through hair in an assumed moving direction (28) to cut hair. The blade set (20) comprises a stationary blade (22), a movable blade (24), and a lateral protecting element (56). The stationary blade (22) comprises at least one toothed cutting edge (32, 34), a lateral end (30), and a first surface (48) that is arranged, when in use for shaving purposes, as a skin-contacting surface. The movable blade (24) comprises a toothed cutting edge (32, 34). The stationary blade (22) and the movable blade (24) are arranged to be reciprocally moved with respect to each other in a cutting direction (Y) that is basically perpendicular to the assumed moving direction (28). The lateral protecting element (56) is associated with the lateral end (30), thereby defining a lateral end cap of the stationary blade (22), wherein the lateral protecting element (56) laterally shields a lateral edge (40) of the lateral end (30), such that, when in use, skin contact of the lateral edge (40) is prevented. The lateral protecting element (56) and the lateral end (30) cooperate so as to prevent hairs from being trapped therebetween. The stationary blade (22) and the movable blade (24) are at least partially made from steel, and the lateral protecting element (56) is made from plastic material. The blade set (20) configured to pivot or swivel with respect to a housing of the hair cutting appliance (10).
