Method for detecting attachment head installation and removal
A drivetrain assembly (100, 200) for a personal care device (10), the drivetrain assembly including a resonator (110) connected to a transmission component (24) configured to transmit oscillations to the removable attachment; and a drive coil (120) configured to oscillate the resonator in a first direction; where the drive coil is configured to generate an installation or removal signal in response to installation or removal of the removable attachment, the installation or removal of the removable attachment generating movement of the resonator in a second direction; and where the drivetrain assembly is configured to communicate the generated signal to a controller.
Spacing comb and hair cutting appliance
A spacing comb for a hair cutting appliance. The comb includes a support frame, a series of comb teeth each having a frontal portion and a rear portion, wherein the comb teeth extend from the support frame. The support frame includes a frontal connector bar and a rear connector plate, wherein the frontal portions of the comb teeth extend from the frontal connector bar. The frontal connector bar is inwardly curved towards the rear connector plate, such that a central portion of the frontal connector bar is rearwardly offset from lateral portions thereof. Also described herein is a hair cutting appliance that is equipped with such a spacing comb.
COMB FOR A HAIR CLIPPER
This application concerns a hair-thinning comb (200) comprising pairs of comb teeth. Each pair comprises a primary comb tooth (216) and an adjacent secondary comb tooth (217). A distal primary tip (218) of the primary comb tooth (216) extends longitudinally beyond a distal secondary tip (219) of the secondary comb tooth (217). A blocking channel (226) between roots of the primary and secondary comb teeth (216, 217) prevent hairs received therein from reaching a cutting element (106) of a hair clipper (100). There is also a cutting gap (225) separating adjacent pairs of comb teeth to permit hair to pass to a cutting element (106) clipper (100). The distal primary tips (218) separate hair in a first separation stage, and the distal secondary tips (219) separate hair between the blocking channel (226) and the cutting gap (225) in a second separation stage.
A COMB FOR A HAIR CUTTING APPLIANCE
A comb (100) for a hair cutting appliance (2) having a cutting direction (C) is provided. The comb having a first comb part (110) comprising a plurality of first comb teeth (112), these comb teeth being arranged to guide hair towards the hair cutting appliance (2) for cutting. The comb also has a second comb part (120) comprising a plurality of second comb teeth (126) aligned with the first comb teeth (112). The comb further has a comb connection 5 part (130) comprising a plurality of connection comb teeth (136) aligned with the first comb teeth. The first and second comb teeth (112, 126) are connected together by the connection comb teeth (136). The first comb teeth (112) and the second comb teeth (126) are at least partially formed from a plastics material and the connection comb teeth (136) are at least partially formed from metal. During use of the comb, the first comb teeth (112) precede the 10 connection comb teeth (136) and the second comb teeth (126) trail the connection comb teeth (136) when viewed in the cutting direction (C).
Portable shaving apparatus
The present invention provides for a shaving device and more specifically, to a portable shaving apparatus designed to look like a cosmetic container.
Actuating mechanism for controlling the cutting length of a hair trimmer
The present application relates to an actuating mechanism (2) for controlling the cutting length of a hair trimmer. An actuating mechanism employs a frame (6), an actuator (8), a sliding member (5) and a coupling mechanism (7). The actuator and sliding member are mounted to the frame and are configured to slide linearly relative to the frame. The coupling mechanism connects the actuator to the sliding member and is configured such that sliding the actuator relative to the frame causes sliding movement of the sliding member relative to the frame of a reduced distance.
ATTACHMENT FOR A PERSONAL CARE DEVICE
The invention relates to an attachment (2) for a personal care device (1), such as a shaving or trimming device. The attachment (2) is adapted to be releasably coupled to a coupling structure (11) of the personal care device by means of a coupling member (10). The coupling member (10) comprises a shaft-like element (6) having at least one coupling recess (7) on the circumferential surface (8) thereof. This coupling recess (7) has a central portion and first and second side portions (18, 20) arranged on opposite sides of the central portion. It comprises a sloped surface (15) arranged in at least the central portion. When the attachment (2) is coupled to the coupling structure (11), the sloped surface is engaged by a spring of the coupling structure (11). At least one of the first and second side portions (18, 20) of the coupling recess (7) is recessed relative to the sloped surface (15), seen in a direction parallel to the central axis (13) of the shaft-like element (6). As a result, the risk of unintentional release of the attachment (2) from the coupling structure (11) is reduced as compared to known devices, whereas the removal by means of an intended central pulling-off force is not significantly affected.
Hair trimmer accessory apparatus and method
An electrical hair trimmer including a mounting device; a blade configured to be mounted to the mounting device; a housing; and a cap configured to be attached to and detached from the housing so that when attached to the housing the cap covers one or more openings at a top of the housing preventing debris from falling into an inner chamber of the housing. The mounting device may project outward from the housing; and the cap may have a first opening which allows it to be slipped on to the housing, over the mounting device to cover the one or more openings at the top of the housing, and allows the cap to be slipped off of the housing, by passing the mounting device through the first opening; and the mounting device projects outwards from the cap through the first opening when the cap is attached.
