A rotary electric shaver has a new structure which compatibly achieves both a function of the rotary electric shaver allowing a user to have less tingling feel on the skin and a function of a reciprocating electric shaver enabling easy deep shaving of hair, by replacing a first head. A rotary electric shaver includes a main body having a drive shaft and a connection part, a first head having a built-in first transmission drive system connected to the drive shaft to rotate a first inner blade, and detachably connected to the connection part, and a second head detachably connected to the connection part from which the first head is removed. The second head has a built-in second transmission drive system connected to the drive shaft to cause the second inner blade to reciprocate.

Coupling structure for a personal care device
10946538 · 2021-03-16 · ·

A personal care device like a shaving device (1) comprises a base structure (2) and a head structure (3). The head structure comprises a first coupling element (5) and at least a head support structure (4) configured to hold at least one treatment head (4). The base structure comprises a second coupling element (6). The coupling elements can releasably be coupled to each other for coupling the head structure to the base structure. By rotating the coupled coupling elements with respect to each other in a first rotational direction about a central axis (9), a first inclined surface (15) of at least one of the first and second coupling elements cooperates with a first co-operating surface (26) of the other of the first and second coupling elements thereby driving the first and second coupling elements away from each other in an axial direction extending parallel to the central axis.

COUPLING UNIT

There is disclosed a coupling unit (100) for transmission of a rotary driving force, comprising a first coupling member (110) having a curved first bearing surface (116) and a second coupling member (150) having a main coupling body (154) and a curved second bearing surface engaging the first bearing surface thereby enabling rotation of the second coupling member (150) relative to the first coupling member (110). The second coupling member comprises at least two carrying elements (158) which are each provided with a respective one of at least two second bearing surface segments (160) of the second bearing surface that engage the first bearing surface. At least two connecting elements (156) of the second coupling member (150) each connect a respective one of the at least two carrying elements (158) with the main coupling body (154) and comprise an elastically deformable material. In a first deformed condition the elastically deformable material provides a first biasing force urging the at least two second bearing surface segments (160) into contact with the first bearing surface. A blocking element (120) of the first coupling member (110) is arranged between the first bearing surface (116) and the main coupling body (154) and is configured to prevent passage of the carrying elements (158) along the blocking element at least in the first deformed condition. In a second deformed condition of the elastically deformable material, wherein the elastically deformable material provides a second biasing force larger than the first biasing force, the carrying elements (158) are able to pass along the blocking element.

Electric shaver with four joint linkage

Electric shaver provided with a handle and a shaver head including at least one drivable cutter element, wherein said shaver head is connected to said handle by means of a support structure providing for a swivel and/or tilting axis about which said shaver head may swivel or tilt relative to said handle, wherein said support structure includes a pair of link arms forming a four-joint linkage with each link arm having a head joint connected to a shaver head part and a handle joint connected to the handle or a base part connected thereto.

PIVOTING ROTARY 4 BLADE RAZOR HEAD

A 4 blade electric shaver head adapted to be connected to an electric shaver that includes a handle and an electric motor for operating the shaver head. The head includes four rotary cutters arranged in a square configuration and four holders also arranged in a square configuration. Each of the holders holds one of the cutters. The inner edges of the four holders define a point at the center of the shaver head. A housing for the holders includes an upper surface. The holders are retained by the housing but are mounted for pivotal movement such that the inner edges and outer edges can move up and down. A spring biases the holders in a position wherein the outer edges lie above the upper surface of the housing and wherein the holders slant downwardly toward the center thereby forming a concave shaving surface. The holders are interconnected to each other so as to always pivot in unison.
