According to an aspect, there is provided a mounting assembly (12) for a hair cutting appliance, the mounting assembly comprising a head (16) for receiving a cutting unit (14); and a body (18). The head is mounted to the body by a four-bar linkage (20) having a coupler link (22) associated with the head, a frame link (24) associated with the body, and two arms (26) extending therebetween. The frame link is connected to each arm at respective joins (28), and the coupler link is connected to each arm at respective joins. Pivoting movement of the arms about parallel linkage axes (30) passing through each join permits rotation of the coupler link relative to the frame link about a virtual pivot (32). One of the coupler link and the frame link is a first link coupled to the arms by two-degree-of-freedom joins, thereby permitting the arms and the other of the frame link and the coupler link to further pivot in unison relative to the first link about a rotation axis (34) perpendicular to the linkage axes.

Rotary shaver with improved support structure for shaving heads

A shaving device comprises a head structure (2) and a base structure (4). The head structure (2) is configured to retain and support at least one shaving head (30A, 30B, 30C). The head structure (2) is releasably retainable on the base structure (4). The base structure (4) is free of support elements in an area of an outer circumference of the head structure (2) such that the head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is not supported in the area of its outer circumference. The head structure (2), when coupled to the base structure (4), is substantially only retained on the base structure (4) by a retaining force provided by a retaining structure of the base structure (4). When an overloading force is exerted on the head structure (2), the force is transferred to a coupling element (8) arranged in a central area (2A) of the head structure (2) such that the coupling element (8) is released from the retaining structure of the base structure (4) in order to prevent damage to the head structure (2).

HAIR CUTTING UNIT HAVING A COUPLING STRUCTURE
20200361104 · 2020-11-19 ·

The invention relates to a hair cutting unit (7a) for use in a shaving device (1). The hair cutting unit comprises an external cutting member (21a) having a shaving surface (29) with hair-entry openings (31), and an internal cutting member (23a) which is rotatable relative to the external cutting member about an axis of rotation (41) and which has a plurality of hair-cutting elements (35). The hair cutting unit further comprises a supporting member (25a) having a skin contacting surface (43) surrounding the external cutting member, and a retaining component (27a) which is releasably couplable to the supporting member by means of a coupling structure (53, 55) and which is configured to retain the external cutting member in an operational position relative to the supporting member in an assembled condition of the hair cutting unit. In said assembled condition a retained element (33) of the external cutting member is retained between a first retaining member (69) of the retaining component and a second retaining member (79) of the supporting member at least in an axial direction parallel to the axis of rotation. In said assembled condition and in a parallel orientation of the shaving surface relative to the skin contacting surface, the shaving surface protrudes relative to the skin contacting surface in the axial direction over an exposure distance (E). The coupling structure comprises a first guiding member (53) provided on the supporting member and a second guiding member (55) provided on the retaining component. The first and second guiding members are configured to mutually engage when the retaining component is in any angular position between a first angular position and a second angular position about the axis of rotation relative to the supporting member and to establish the assembled condition of the hair cutting unit in the second angular position of the retaining component. According to the invention, the first and second guiding members

Electric shaver

Electric shaver provided with a handle and a shaver head including at least one drivable cutter element, wherein said shaver head is connected to said handle by means of a support structure providing for a swivel and/or tilting axis about which said shaver head may swivel or tilt relative to said handle, wherein said support structure includes a pair of link arms forming a four-joint linkage with each link arm having a head joint connected to a shaver head part and a handle joint connected to the handle or a base part connected thereto.

ATTACHMENT FOR A PERSONAL CARE DEVICE

The invention relates to an attachment (2) for a personal care device (1), such as a shaving or trimming device. The attachment (2) is adapted to be releasably coupled to a coupling structure (11) of the personal care device by means of a coupling member (10). The coupling member (10) comprises a shaft-like element (6) having at least one coupling recess (7) on the circumferential surface (8) thereof. This coupling recess (7) has a central portion and first and second side portions (18, 20) arranged on opposite sides of the central portion. It comprises a sloped surface (15) arranged in at least the central portion. When the attachment (2) is coupled to the coupling structure (11), the sloped surface is engaged by a spring of the coupling structure (11). At least one of the first and second side portions (18, 20) of the coupling recess (7) is recessed relative to the sloped surface (15), seen in a direction parallel to the central axis (13) of the shaft-like element (6). As a result, the risk of unintentional release of the attachment (2) from the coupling structure (11) is reduced as compared to known devices, whereas the removal by means of an intended central pulling-off force is not significantly affected.

Blade unit hair clipper

A blade unit can be attached to a hair clipper body. The blade unit has: a stationary blade part including stationary blades that are disposed side by side like teeth of a comb; a movable blade part including movable blades that are disposed side by side like teeth of a comb; and a base holding the stationary blade part and the movable blade part so as to allow reciprocation of the movable blade part. The base includes a rib extending along the stationary blades. This configuration enables the rib to prevent the stationary blades from biting into skin and thus can mitigate a skin stimulus.
