ELECTRIC SHAVER WITH IMAGING CAPABILITY
System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

Programmable hair trimming system
A programmable hair trimming system has a hair trimming device including a receiving element configured to receive an electromagnetic field and at least one source element having an electromagnetic field source. The hair cutting length of the hair trimming device is adjustable, and the at least one source element is external to the hair trimming device and arranged to be placed in a fixed relationship to the head of a person. The hair trimming system is arranged to detect, by an electromagnetic tracking system, the position of the hair trimming device in relation to the at least one source element. Further the hair trimming system relates this position to a previously generated hair length profile data regarding the desired hair trimming length at various positions. Based on the desired hair trimming length at the sensed position, the trimmer cutting length is automatically and dynamically adjusted.

Skin treatment device
A device for treating skin includes a skin treatment member, a skin contacting surface, a mounting member for mounting the skin treatment member and the skin contacting surface, and a friction controlling device to control friction between the skin contacting surface and skin to be treated, in at least one controlled friction area of the skin contacting surface when the skin contacting surface is moved over the skin. The friction controlling device introduces a slip motion of the controlled friction area relative to the mounting member in a direction corresponding to a local direction of extension of the skin contacting surface. The device also includes a sensor for detecting a first parameter related to an amount of friction between the skin contacting surface and the skin during use, and the friction controlling device controls a second parameter of the slip motion in dependence on a value of the first parameter.
Hair cutting apparatus comprising a light indicator
A hair cutting apparatus, such as a shaver, includes a cutting detector to actually detect any hair-cutting actions of the hair cutting apparatus. The apparatus further includes a cutting indicator having a light indicator configured and controlled by the cutting detector to be instantaneously activated when the cutting detector actually detects a hair-cutting action.
Hair styling device
A hair styling device for a hairstylist includes a housing configured to be attachable to a styling tool such as a comb, an electronic-based alignment means that determines the angle of orientation of the housing, and a user-actuated operational control for selecting the housing's desired angle of orientation. The electronic-based alignment means provides a human-perceivable indication of the angle of orientation and can be selectively locked to a desired angle. The electronic-based alignment means also selectively provides a human-perceivable indication when the housing is approaching and has arrived at the desired angle.
A SMART SHAVING SYSTEM WITH A 3D CAMERA
The present disclosure provides a smart shaving system with a 3D camera to assist the user of a shaving razor, which 3D camera is communicatively connected to the shaving razor and to a razor cartridge vendor platform via an Internet-of-Things (IoT) gateway. The 3D camera can be incorporated into the shaving razor, which razor has hardware/software capabilities to function as a N stand-alone Internet-of-Things (IoT) device. The 3D camera can be communicatively connected to the shaving razor and/or to a razor cartridge vendor platform via an Internet-of-Things (IoT) gateway to (i) assist the user to determine whether a particular skin surface area has been adequately shaved, and/or (ii) assist the user regarding the type of shaving cartridge and/or razor suited for the particular user's physical characteristics (e.g., skin and/or hair).
