SINGLE-BLADE RAZOR APPARATUS
A single-blade razor apparatus and methods are for manufacturing the same. A razor apparatus includes a handle and a head pivotably mounted on the handle. The head includes a rear side including an aperture for receiving a single blade, as well as a front side through which a cutting edge of the blade is exposed during use. An upper portion and a lower portion of the head form the aperture. The lower portion physically interfaces with the upper portion so that a front region of the upper portion is physically supported by the lower portion. In a particular implementation, the lower portion includes several protruding latches proximate the front side of the head, which respectively mate with recesses formed in the upper portion. Alternatively, the latches are formed in the upper portion and respectively mate with recesses formed in the lower portion.
EXFOLIATION BAR FOR SHAVING RAZOR
An exfoliation bar for a shaving razor with a skin contacting footprint area of at least 30 mm.sup.2 and comprising a material having a Shore A durometer greater than 50. The exfoliation bar has a plurality of skin protrusion elements with a tip having radius of 0.02 mm to 0.25 mm positioned within the skin contacting footprint area. The skin protrusion elements have a leading face that intersects an average tip plane at an angle of 80 degrees to 145 degrees. A volume isolated by a construction plane 0.1 mm below the tip of the skin protrusion elements divided by the skin contacting footprint area is 0.003 mm.sup.3 to 0.04 mm.sup.3 per mm.sup.2 of footprint area.
SAFETY RAZOR WITH COMB AND BLADE
A safety razor removes hair from skin using the cutting blade comprising a sharp edge along an elongated side of a planar surface. An outer comb has a row of outer teeth running along the planar surface on an outside of the cutting blade, each outer tooth is substantially perpendicular to the sharp edge and spaced with a gap between the row of the outer teeth and the planar surface of the cutting blade. Ends of the row of outer teeth comprise outer teeth tips. An inner guard runs along the planar surface on an inside of the cutting blade.
Shaving blade assembly comprising a blade unit and a skin contact member and a razor comprising a razor handle and such a shaving blade assembly
A razor including a razor handle and a shaving blade assembly. The shaving blade assembly includes a blade unit and a skin contact member and a razor. The blade unit includes at least one shaving blade having a cutting edge. The blade unit includes a blade unit plane, and the cutting edge includes a first blade angle with regard to the blade unit plane. The skin contact member defines a contact plane, and the cutting edge includes a second blade angle with regard to the contact plane.
Razor system
A shaving cartridge (1) with connectors (3) on each side portion of the plurality of side portions (2C) of the housing (2D) and a plurality of cutting members (7). Each of the connectors is operable to permit the side portions to pivot relative to each other. Thus, the housing will assume different configurations and is operable to adapt to and follow a contour defined by a shaving surface.
Razor cartridge
A razor cartridge includes: a blade housing accommodating a plurality of blades including at least a first blade and a second blade; a first contact member arranged at a front side of the plurality of blades with respect to a shaving direction; and a second contact member arranged at a rear side of the plurality of blades with respect to the shaving direction, each blade including an edge portion and a base, wherein a thickness of a first position of the edge portion of the first blade is less than a thickness of a corresponding second position of the edge portion of the second blade, and wherein a first exposure amount of the first blade with respect to a contact plane defined between the first contact member and the second contact member is less than a second exposure amount of the second blade with respect to the contact plane.
DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING PIXEL DATA OF AN IMAGE OF A SHAVING STROKE FOR DETERMINING PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO A USER'S SKIN
Digital imaging systems and methods are described for analyzing pixel data of an image of a shaving stroke for determining pressure being applied to a user's skin. A plurality of training images of a plurality of individuals are aggregated, each of the training images comprising pixel data of a respective individual when shaving with a shaving razor. A pressure model, trained with the pixel data, is operable to determine pressure being applied to the respective individual's skin. An image of a user when shaving with the shaving razor is received and analyzed, by the pressure model, to determine a user-specific pressure being applied to the user's skin by the shaving razor when a user shaving stroke is taken. A user-specific electronic recommendation to address at least one feature identifiable within the pixel data is generated and rendered, on a display screen of a user computing device.
Rookie razor
Embodiments of a razor for shaving are disclosed. The razor may include a water-resistant handle. The razor may also include a blade with at least one sharp edge and one edge substantially enclosed substantially by handle. The razor may also include a blade with a plurality of edges that are interchangeable and each edge of blade may vary in sharpness.
RAZOR CARTRIDGE
Disclosed here are shaving razor systems and methods including razor cartridges with a unitary frame having a length and width, a topside and an underside, wherein the unitary frame includes angled joints or bends connecting at least three guards running lengthwise on the unitary frame, the guards separated by at least three gaps in the frame, and at least three blades, affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame, wherein the at least three blades include edges, and wherein the blade edges extend into the gaps in the frame when affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame.
Systems and methods for trimming dreadlocks
A trimming assembly for dreadlocks comprises a handle. A cutting head is operatively connected to the handle. The cutting head comprises a cutting head body defining a receptacle at a radial end thereof. The receptacle is structured to receive a dreadlock. A blade protector is positioned axially within the receptacle. A curvature of the blade protector corresponds to a curvature of an inner wall of the receptacle. A blade is interposed between the blade protector and the inner wall. The blade defines a cutting edge at an axial end thereof proximate to the handle. The cutting edge is structured to cut loose hair protruding outwards from the dreadlock as the cutting head is moved along the dreadlock.
