Shaving razor demonstration apparatus
An apparatus for demonstrating at least a first shaving razor, having a first shaving surface with a first lubrication member, may include a first sheet of paper, a liquid composition, and a light source transmitting ultraviolet light onto the first sheet of paper. The liquid composition may include water and an ultraviolet dye. The apparatus may position the shaving razor to engage the first sheet of paper and to allow relative motion between the first lubrication member and the first sheet of paper such that the first lubrication member deposits the liquid composition onto the first sheet of paper.
SHAVING RAZOR COMPONENT TEST METHOD
A shaving razor component test method may include securing the ends of a shaving razor component between a rotatable clamp and a fixed clamp and rotating the rotatable clamp to cause the shaving razor component to fail. Multiple shaving razor components may be tested simultaneously.
SHAVING RAZOR COMPONENT TEST APPARATUS
A shaving razor component testing apparatus with a body. A rotatable clamp mounted to the body. A fixed clamp mounted to the body and spaced apart from the rotatable clamp. An actuator rotatably coupled to the rotatable clamp.
SENSOR-BASED SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING SHAVING PERFORMANCE
Sensor-based systems and methods of analyzing shaving performance. A shaving device comprises a handle having a connecting structure connected to a hair-cutting implement (e.g., a blade). Sensor data is collected from sensor(s) associated with the shaving device during one or more shaving strokes of a user shaving with the shaving device. Shave stroke data is determined from the sensor data that defines one or more shaving strokes. The shave stroke data and a threshold value is input into a model (e.g., an artificial intelligence model) to output a user-specific shave score. Generation of the user-specific shave score comprises comparing the shave stroke data to the threshold value to determine a deviation from the threshold value. An output is generated based on the user-specific shave score.
Method for measuring fiber cutting force
A method and apparatus for measuring the cutting force on a single fiber. The method includes the steps of: providing a blade having an edge; providing a fiber mount for holding the single fiber; providing at least one sensor connected to the fiber mount; providing a fiber sleeve to contain a fiber within the fiber mount to simulate the location of the hair within the hair follicle; moving the blade toward the fiber and cutting the fiber; and measuring the cutting force on the fiber with the at least one sensor.
RAZOR HANDLE WITH A ROTATABLE PORTION
A handle for a razor, the handle having a frame. A pod is coupled to the frame such that the pod is able to rotate relative to the frame. The pod is made of a first material. A cantilever tail extends from the pod. The cantilever tail is comprised of a second material that is different from the first material.
RAZOR HANDLE WITH A ROTATABLE PORTION
A shaving razor with a blade cartridge unit having at least one blade. A handle with a frame and a blade cartridge connecting assembly operatively connected to the frame. The frame has a docking station releasably attached to the blade cartridge unit. The frame has a pod operably coupled to the frame to rotate relative to the frame. The frame has an ejector button. The blade cartridge connecting assembly is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation that is substantially perpendicular to the frame and the blade cartridge unit is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation that is substantially parallel to the blade and substantially perpendicular to the handle.
Shaving razor demonstration apparatus and method
A shaving demonstration apparatus having a rotatable support surface. A drive unit is operatively connected to the rotatable support surface. A fixture is spaced apart from the rotatable support surface. A first shaving razor has a first handle having a central longitudinal axis, said handle mounted to the fixture. A first blade cartridge unit is mounted to an end of the first handle, and rotates about a torsional rotation axis with respect to said handle, wherein the central longitudinal axis and the torsional rotational axis are generally parallel. The first blade cartridge unit contacts the rotatable support surface.
Shaving razor demonstration method
A shaving demonstration method may involve providing at least a first shaving razor having a first shaving surface with a first lubrication member; exposing the first lubrication member to a composition of water and a fluorescent dye; engaging at least a first sheet of paper with at least the first lubrication member; causing relative motion between the first lubrication member and the first sheet of paper; and exposing the first sheet of paper to a light source.
