Method of assembling a shaving razor cartridge

In one aspect, the invention features, in general, a method of assembling a shaving razor cartridge by providing a housing having a primary guard and a secondary cap. A first blade having a cutting edge is mounted to the housing. A second blade having a cutting edge is mounted to the housing. A bridge member having a pair of spaced apart legs is mounted to the housing immediately between the first blade and the second blade. The first blade, the second blade and the bridge member are secured to the housing with at least one clip.

Skin adapter

A skin adapter designed to attach to a head unit of a razor, the skin adapter including an outer member, the outer member having a leading portion with a leading side, a trailing portion with a trailing side, and an aperture arranged between the leading portion and the trailing portion, the leading portion and trailing portion being positioned on an outermost surface of the outer member, the aperture being inaccessible from the leading and trailing side, and one or more ribbons positioned within the aperture of the outer member, the ribbons extending between the leading portion and trailing portion of the outer member.

Razor assembly

A razor assembly includes a razor cartridge, a connector and a recovering force provider. The razor cartridge includes at least one shaving blade having a cutting edge, and a blade housing configured to receive the at least one shaving blade in a transverse direction. The connector is configured to extend in parallel with the transverse direction, and to be coupled to the blade housing so as to be pivotable around a pivot axis movable between a first rest position and a first position spaced apart from the first rest position in a first shaving direction. The recovering force provider includes a first recovering member configured to provide the connector with a recovering force for recovering the pivot axis to the first rest position when the pivot axis is located between the first rest position and the first position.

A shaving razor system includes a razor handle that docks with a razor cartridge. The handle is configured to dock with the razor cartridge using a single hook configured to mate with a cartridge tab. A central pushrod is mounted with a spring into the handle and is configured to exert a pushing force on the mounted cartridge. To eject the cartridge, the single hook may be pushed to pivot to the side of the cartridge tab, and thereby release the razor cartridge by ejecting it with the spring loaded pushrod.

Safety razor and blade unit for safety razor

Disclosed is a blade unit for a safety razor comprising a connecting structure for fixing the blade unit to a handle, a blade housing comprising a plurality of blades having cutting edges lying in a shaving plane, and a rear portion next to the plurality of blades, comprising a non-flexible back portion extending parallel to the shaving plane, and a lubricating pad having a flexible portion and a non-flexible portion, the non-flexible portion being arranged on and supported by the non-flexible back portion, the flexible portion extending rearwards from the non-flexible portion beyond the non-flexible back portion to define a rear edge of the rear portion of the blade unit, the flexible portion forming a convex skin-contacting surface when bending away from the shaving plane in use.

A razor cartridge comprising three or more substantially parallel cutting members disposed between a leading longitudinal side and a trailing longitudinal side of the razor cartridge in a shaving direction of the razor cartridge. Each of the cutting members comprises a blade support comprising a blade mounting portion disposed on an inner surface of the respective blade support that, in use, faces away from a shaving plane, and a blade attached to the blade mounting portion. The cutting members are disposed to define a plurality of inter-blade spans between cutting edges of the blades. A leading inter-blade span that is closer to the leading longitudinal side of the razor cartridge than a trailing inter-blade span is different to the trailing inter-blade span that is closer to the trailing longitudinal side of the razor cartridge than the leading inter-blade span.
