SHAVING RAZOR SYSTEM INCLUDING SKIN INTERCONNECT MEMBER
The invention is directed toward a shaving razor system. The razor system has a handle and a razor cartridge. The handle has at least one skin interconnect member in pivotal relation to a proximal end portion of the handle. The razor cartridge has a housing, at least one blade, and at least one opening which extends through the housing. The razor cartridge is engaged with the skin interconnect member when the skin interconnect member is disposed within the opening securing the razor cartridge to the proximal end portion of the handle. The razor cartridge is in a pivotal relation with the handle, but not with the skin interconnect member. A pivot point of the razor system is desirably disposed near the front blade of the cartridge. Axes of movement in the razor system can be provided by different physical order of connections of razor components.
RAZOR HANDLE WITH MOVABLE MEMBERS
A handle for a shaving razor in which the handle comprises a frame and a movable member assembly operably coupled to the frame such that the frame is disposed between the movable member assembly and where the movable member assembly portions are configured to move both above and below the frame. The movement can be linear or rotational. The movable member assembly comprises one or more springs. The first member and the second member are coupled together through said rigid member. The rigid member can include a rigid member platform which has a width to thickness ratio from about 7 to about 60.
A razor handle includes a rigid member, a first member having one or more movable elements wherein a portion of the first member is connected to a first surface of the rigid member, a second member, the second member coupled to a second surface of the rigid member wherein a benefit delivery assembly is disposed in an area between the rigid member and the second member.
Battery operated razor
Handle is provided for battery operated razors. In some implementations, the handle includes a simple, efficient mechanism for both securing a battery cover to the handle of a razor and at the same time providing a high reliability electrical contact between the battery and electronics of the razor. The mechanism includes a closing system, including a first conductive component slidably attached within the battery cover and biased toward a predetermined axial position, and a second conductive component secured to the interior wall of the grip portion. The first conductive component is configured to interact with the second conductive component and move axially within the battery cover during engagement of the battery cover with the grip portion.
Shaving cartridges having thermal sensors
A method of controlling transfer of heat to skin during a shaving stroke. A shaving razor system with a heating element is provided. An insulating member for delivering heat to the heating element is provided. A temperature of a first area of the heating element is measured with a first thermal sensor. A temperature of a second area of the heating element is measured with a second thermal sensor. Power to the insulating member is decreased when an average temperature sensed by the thermal sensors is greater than or equal to a first predetermined temperature. Power to the insulating member is decreased when an individual temperature sensed by either of the thermal sensors is greater than or equal to a second predetermined temperature.
Method of assembling an electronic subassembly for a personal care product
A method of assembling an electronic subassembly for a personal care product by manufacturing a hollow housing defining a chamber having a first open end and an opposing second open end. A rigid end of a first circuit board is inserted into the first open end of the housing. A second circuit board subassembly having a second circuit board is inserted into the chamber through the second open end. The first circuit board is connected to the second circuit board within the chamber of the housing.
NETWORKED SHAVING APPLIANCE SYSTEM
A networked shaving appliance system includes: (a) a shaving appliance including a handle and a shaving head cartridge connected to the handle and motion, orientation, and/or pressure sensors associated with the handle and/or shaving head cartridge; (b) a sensor circuit connected to receive sensor signals and generate shave event information from the sensor signals; (c) a network circuit wirelessly connected with a computer network and communicating at least the shave event information to the computer network; and (d) a computerized tool operating, at least in part, on a computerized user device connected to the computer network. The computerized tool is configured to receive shave event data associated with a user of the computerized device from the computer network, receive user profile data from the user via a graphical user interface provided by the computerized tool, process the shave event data with the user profile data to generate user feedback information, and communicate the user feedback information to the user via the graphical user interface provided by the computerized tool.
SHAVING APPLIANCE INCLUDING A NOTIFICATION CIRCUIT FOR COMMUNICATING CUMULATIVE SHAVE EVENT INFORMATION
A shaving appliance includes: (a) a handle and a shaving head cartridge connected to the handle; (b) motion, orientation, and/or pressure sensors associated with the handle and/or the shaving head cartridge; (c) a cartridge replacement sensor/circuit; (d) a sensor circuit connected via a data connection to receive sensor signals from the motion, orientation and/or pressure sensors, to receive a new cartridge event signal from the cartridge replacement sensor/circuit, and to generate cumulative shave event information from the sensor signals upon receiving a new cartridge event signal; and (e) a notification circuit communicating cumulative shave event information to a user.
SHAVING APPLIANCE INCLUDING A NOTIFICATION CIRUCIT FOR COMMUNICATING SHAVE STROKE DIRECTION INFORMATION
A shaving appliance includes: a handle and a shaving head connected to the handle; a plurality of sensors provided in the shaving head and/or handle; a sensor circuit connected via a data connection to receive sensor signals from the plurality of sensors and to generate shave stroke direction information from the sensor signals; and a notification circuit determining relative shave stroke direction information for a user from the shave stroke direction information and from hair growth direction information electronically stored with respect to the user.
METHOD FOR GENERATING USER FEEDBACK INFORMATION FROM A SHAVE EVENT
A method for generating user feedback information from a shave event associated with a user. A shaving razor is provided to user. The shaving razor includes a handle, a hair cutting implement connected to the handle, at least one motion sensor in the handle, a hair cutting implement displacement sensor positioned in the handle, a communication device positioned in the handle and a power source positioned in the handle. The power source powers the at least one motion sensor, the hair cutting implement displacement sensor and the communication device. Shave event data associated with the user during a shave is collected from the at least one motion sensor and the hair cutting implement displacement sensor.
