Tape cutting inserts suitable for cutting tape strips from a tape roll having a spool, a pair of spaced-apart spool flanges on the spool, a spool opening in the spool and opening through the pair of spool flanges, respectively, and tape wound on the spool between the pair of spool flanges. An illustrative embodiment of the tape cutting insert may include an insert panel having an inner panel surface, an outer panel surface opposite the inner panel surface, a cutting edge extending between the inner panel surface and the outer panel surface and a pair of elongated, parallel, spaced-apart flange receiving slots extending through the insert panel from the inner panel surface to the outer panel surface. In a stowage configuration of the insert panel, the insert panel may be configured to releasably engage the spool at the spool opening. In a functional, tape cutting configuration of the insert panel, the pair of flange receiving slots may be configured to accommodate the pair of spool flanges, respectively, on the spool. Tape cutting insert and tape roll combinations are also disclosed.

The tool manufactured in accordance with the instruction file comprises a unitary, plastic stick having a length which extends along an axis of elongation, a broad surface, a bracing surface, and first and second opposing sides extending along the length, separated by a width which is substantially less than the length. The first aide has serrations defined in the plastic stick adjacent the bracing surface. The second side has a non-serrated edge defined in the plastic stick proximate to the bracing surface.

The apparatus comprises at least one partition plate 20 in a suction path 16. The suction path 16 is divided into at least two widthwise of the plastic film 1. The wastes 14 is guided to each of the divided paths 21A, 21B, 21C, 21D and is discharged. The wastes 14 is detected by an optical sensor when the wastes 14 is discharged to each of the divided paths.

Bacon portioner/trimmer

Various systems, apparatuses and methods are disclosed for portioning and/or trimming cooked or pre-cooked bacon slices (or another food product) on a production line at full line speed. An exemplary system may comprise a food conveyor and a portioner. The food conveyor may have at least one transfer mechanism that carries bacon slices over at least one transfer comb. The portioner may have at least one fixed, stationary cutter positioned relative to the transfer comb in the path of the bacon slices. As the transfer mechanism moves the bacon slices across the transfer comb, the bacon slices contact the cutter and are moved by the transfer mechanism over the cutter, which cuts the bacon slices into two or more portions of shorter length.

Dunnage cut-assist biasing member

A conversion apparatus is provided herein. The conversion apparatus includes a cutting member having an edge configured for cutting the dunnage material. The conversion apparatus also includes a biasing member that is located adjacent to the cutting member such that the dunnage material passes between the biasing member and the cutting member. The biasing member operably contacts the dunnage material thereby biasing the dunnage material against the cutting member. The position of the biasing member relative to the cutting member is such that in response to the dunnage material being retracted back into the conversion apparatus the cutting member begins to sever the dunnage material, but in response to the dunnage material traveling in the dispensing direction the cutting member does not begin to sever the dunnage material due to the relative position.
