Bread conveying apparatus and bread slicing apparatus

A bread conveying apparatus includes a flight conveyer including a first flight for urging a bread, an endless revolving member on which the first flight is mounted, and a driving member and a driven member, the endless revolving member being wound around the driving member and driven member, a rail extending along a conveying path of the bread and supporting the first flight, and a rail size setting unit for setting a length of the rail with respect to an extending direction of the conveying path. The length of the rail with respect to the conveying direction is set by the rail size setting unit based on a size of the bread.

A bread slicer includes: a slicer housing, accommodating a slicing blade rotatable in a slicing plane, the slicer housing including: a feed chute for introducing the loaf into the bread slicer; and a receiving chute, which adjoins the feed chute except for a blade gap; and a bagging aid configured for slipping packaging over the bagging aid together with the slices of the sliced loaf resting thereon, the bagging aid having a cantilevered portion. External dimensions of the feed chute parallel to the slicing plane are greater than or equal to maximum external dimensions in directions of loaves to be sliced. External dimensions of the cantilevered portion parallel to the slicing plane are smaller than external dimensions of the feed chute parallel to the slicing plane. The receiving chute is the bagging aid having the cantilevered portion and is inside a cover of the slicer housing.

A bread slicer having a frame includes a loading compartment at the front of the frame and a receiving compartment connected to the loading compartment at the rear side of the frame, an access opening for the bread in the loading compartment, a cutting member to cut slices of the bread as it moves between the compartments, a support surface for the bread extending into the compartments, a movable push rod moveable in the direction of movement of the bread enabling the bread to be seized and moved between the compartments, the push rod being guided by a guide rail extending substantially parallel to the support surface and to the direction of movement. The support surface is inclined at an angle () greater than 10 and less than 25, in particular between 15 and 24, with respect to a horizontal line extending perpendicularly to the front side of the slicer.
