METHOD FOR DETERMINING A PHYSICAL PARAMETER OF AN UPPER LINK
20180372490 · 2018-12-27 ·

A method for determining a physical parameter of an adjustable upper link of a three-point hitch during a working operation thereof includes providing a lower link of the three-point hitch and an implement attachable to the upper and lower links of the three-point hitch. The method includes generating calibration data prior to the working operation of the three-point hitch, where the calibration data defines a relationship of a length of the upper link to an upper link angle defined between the upper link and a reference line. Moreover, the calibration data is used to determine a physical parameter of the adjustable upper link during the working operation.

COUPLING ARRANGEMENT FOR AN AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR

A coupling arrangement for an agricultural tractor includes a drawbar having a first bar section, which is mounted in a longitudinally movable manner in a holder for attachment to an underside of a differential housing of the agricultural tractor, and a second bar section, which is situated opposite the first bar section and is guided in a longitudinally movable manner within adjacent upper and lower supporting cheeks of a coupling carrier plate provided for attachment to the rear of the agricultural tractor. The drawbar is movable into a plurality of coupling positions by longitudinal movement and can be locked therein with respect to the coupling carrier plate via at least one securing element.

Locking link assembly for work machine hitch
10143124 · 2018-12-04 · ·

A locking mechanism for a link assembly of a work vehicle hitch has a locking plate mounted to an upper portion of the link assembly. A collar is positioned over the sleeve and is configured to slide relative a portion of the sleeve. The collar meshes with the sleeve so as to prevent rotational movement of the upper portion of the sleeve relative the collar when the collar is adjacent the upper portion, but the sleeve can rotate relative the collar when the collar is adjacent a middle portion of the sleeve. The locking mechanism has a handle mounted on the collar that is pivotable between a locked position where the handle is generally parallel with the sleeve in which the collar is prevented from sliding relative the sleeve and a released position generally perpendicular to the sleeve in which the collar is able to slide relative the sleeve.

Methods for controlling articulating tongue arrangements utilized in towing agricultural implements

A method is carried-out by a controller architecture coupled to a beam assembly actuator, which is included in an articulating tongue arrangement connecting an agricultural implement to a tow vehicle. In an embodiment, the method includes: (i) monitoring, via the controller architecture, an effective tow length of an articulating beam assembly further included in the articulating tongue arrangement, the effective tow length measured along a straight line extending from a leading pivot joint of the articulating tongue arrangement to a trailing pivot joint of the articulating tongue arrangement; (ii) determining, at the controller architecture, an effective tow length target of the articulating tongue arrangement based upon operator input, sensor input, or a combination thereof; and (iii) transmitting commands from the controller architecture to the beam assembly actuator to maintain the effective tow length of the articulating beam assembly in conformance with the effective tow length target.

Three-point hitch with attachable implement-actuators
12137626 · 2024-11-12 ·

A conventional three point hitch of an agricultural tractor for the connection and use of working implements cultivating or excavating the earth and other duties involved in the industry of farming or grading excavation is modified by adding extending and retracting implement-actuators attachable to the existing bottom-lift-arms, therefore supplanting, but still using the existing bottom-lift-arms on the three-point hitch. The implement-actuators assist the implement in correcting the implements centerline when the tractor centerline is off a predetermined centerline path. In addition, the extending of the implement-actuators proportionally, inversely and simultaneously can correct the pivot point of the implement to match the pivot point of the tractor while the tractor performs turns during the working use of the implement.

IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO HITCHING

A vehicle-to-implement hitch is provided and comprises a force transfer hitch connector adapted to provide a hitch point to which an implement can be connected. The connector is couplable to the vehicle by one or more flexible tensioning members which are, or can be moved so as to be, taut whereby to create a rigid structure comprising a hitch location such that the hitch point is movable.
