Device for treating substrates
A device for treating substrates has a separation system, with which processed substrates can be separated into one or more waste parts and at least one blank. The device for treating substrates offers improved flexibility. The separation system comprises a transport cylinder and a stripping cylinder associated therewith. The transport cylinder is able to secure replaceable packing, along with first and second openings which, when the packing is secured, are covered at least partially by perforations that may be formed in the packing. A first air supply supplies air to the first openings and a second air supply supplies air to the second openings independently of the supply of the air to the first openings. The first and the second air supply are switchable between a suction air supply and a blower air supply.
Device and method of forming decorative panel
The present invention in one or more embodiments provides a method of forming an opening on a panel, the method including pressing in a first direction on the panel to form a protrusion with a tip portion, and cutting the protrusion with a force in a second direction to remove the tip portion to form the opening on the panel, the second direction being different from the first direction. The first direction may be a direction of gravity plus and minus up to 15 degrees. The second direction may be transverse to the first direction with an angle differential there-between of 75 to 105 degrees.
DEVICE FOR PROCESSING SUBSTRATES
A device for processing substrates improves processing quality during separation or punching of such substrates. The device has a first processing cylinder and a second processing cylinder for treating substrates, and between which the substrate can be inserted. The substrate undergoes processing as it passes through the cylinder nip between the processing cylinders by use of tool parts that are active therein, and which may be chosen from a group composed of cutting tools, punching tools, creasing tools, perforating tools and grooving tools. The first processing cylinder has a sheet holding system and one of the first processing cylinder and the second processing cylinder has a tool carrier for receiving a tool part. An impression cylinder, which is in surface contact with the second processing cylinder, is assigned to the second processing cylinder, on the side thereof that faces away from the first processing cylinder.
DEVICE FOR TREATING SUBSTRATES
The present invention relates to a device for treating substrates which device is modular and versatile in use. The device for treating substrates comprises a feeder and one or more first sub-structure modules which each comprise a pressure cylinder with devices for fixing a lift and a sheet-conveying device and one or more second sub-structure modules which respectively have a transport cylinder with openings formed on the cover surface thereof, and having devices for fixing a lift and a sheet conveying device. All of the first or second sub-structure modules have the same intersection point for connecting the sub-structure modules on one of the inlet and the exit side and they all can be equipped with an attachment module.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING SUBSTRATES
A device for processing substrates uses a separation system. Processed substrates can be separated into one or more waste parts and at least one blank. Improved flexibility for treating substrates is provided. The separation system comprises a transport cylinder and a stripping cylinder associated therewith. The transport cylinder has first openings and has a detachably secured packing having depressions in which perforations are formed, with at least one perforation covering at least one first opening. The stripping cylinder has a detachably secured packing having raised areas that correspond to the depressions.

DIE-CUT LID AND ASSOCIATED CONTAINER AND METHOD
A die-cut lid (20) for closing a container is disclosed; the lid being formed from a flexible composite sheet material (30).
The lid comprises a functional area (70) bearing human-readable and/or machine-readable data with the lid comprising one or more rigidifying indentations (50) to promote flatness of the functional area in a resting state of the lid. The one or more rigidifying indentations are selected from the group of: i) one or more encircling indentations that border the functional area; and/or ii) a planar indentation that encompasses the functional area.
A lidded container (1) comprising such a die-cut lid and a method of forming a die-cut lid are also described.

A mould for a sandwich, the mould comprises: a base portion and a lid portion; said base portion incorporating one or more ridges, the or each ridge forming the perimeter of a design, the perimeter defining an area suitable for housing a baked good; said design enclosed by side walls on at least the base portion; said lid portion cooperating in use, when the base and lid portions are brought into cutting engagement, whereby a cutting surface of the lid portion cooperates with the or each ridge to cut any goods caught between the or each ridge and the cutting surface.

An apparatus, comprising a handle of a captive but freely-moveable wand, the handle useable to move an attached wand viewfinder over a clear front window of a front component to selectively reveal parts of printed matter on a hidden back component, wherein the clear front window has semi-transparently printed matter thereon, wherein inside the apparatus, a concealed component tethered to the wand is selectively moveable between the semi-transparently printed matter and the printed matter on the hidden back component, and wherein the tethered concealed component has an opening that lies in alignment with a matching opening in the wand viewfinder so that, with selective movement of the tethered concealed component: (a) both the printed matter on the clear front window is shown superimposed over the selectively revealed parts of the printed matter on the back component in the wand view finder and (b) solely the semi-transparently printed matter is shown on the clear front window outside the wand viewfinder.
METHOD FOR CUTTING, CREASING AND/ OR EMBOSSING A CARDBOARD AND CARDBOARD PROCESSING MACHINE
A method is provided for cutting, creasing and/or embossing a cardboard in a cardboard processing machine (10) comprising a rotary die cutting machine (12), the rotary die cutting machine (12) comprising a first rotating cylinder (22) and a second rotating cylinder (24), wherein each of the first and the second cylinder (22, 24) has a cutting, creasing and/or embossing area (26) and a compensation area (28) that extends along the circumference of the respective cylinder (22, 24). A continuous cardboard web (11) being printed with a plurality of repetitive printed sections (40, 41, 42) is run between the two cylinders (22, 24) in a processing direction, wherein a printing length (l) of a printed section (40, 41, 42) is shorter than a circumference of the rotating cylinders (22, 24). Afterwards the cardboard web (11) is pulled back in a direction opposite to the processing direction to such an extent that after a full rotation of the rotating cylinders (22, 24) the cutting, creasing and/or embossing area of the rotating cylinders (22, 24) meets the beginning of the second printed section (41). Moreover, a cardboard processing machine (10) is provided.
