Rotary cylindrical attachable sleeve
A sleeve for attaching to a cylindrical platform of a die cutting machine. The sleeve includes a first elastic member and a second elastic member. The sleeve may be arranged in a cylindrical configuration by aligning a first abutting surface of the first elastic member to a second abutting surface of the second elastic member. The first elastic member and the second elastic member can be mounted on a cylindrical platform without the need for a locking mechanism to secure the sleeve onto the cylindrical platform.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the group of geometric cutting elements preferably includes a first set of cutting element including a first pentagon shape, a second pentagon shape, and a first quadrilateral shape which are connected by shared edges. According to a further preferred embodiment, the group of geometric cutting elements of the present invention preferably further includes a second set of cutting elements which includes a third pentagon shape, a fourth pentagon shape and a second quadrilateral shape, which are a mirrored copy of the first set of cutting elements.
Protective cover including patterned backings
A protective cover includes a padding layer and at least one backing layer comprising a network of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) threads, wherein a surface of the at least one backing layer is substantially rectangular comprising a first side, and wherein a plurality of the FRP threads are arranged along a direction that is oblique relative to the first side.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STRIP STEEL KNIFE, AND STRIP STEEL KNIFE FOR TOOLS
Method and strip steel knife from a steel strip having a bainite and decarburized surface. The steel strip has a generally rectangular cross-section, and the method includes machining a plurality of beveled surfaces in a region of a longitudinal edge of the steel strip to create at least a cutting surface defining a longitudinal cutting edge; first hardening at least a part of the cutting surface to form a first cutting edge region of the longitudinal cutting edge; smoothing the cutting surface of at least the first cutting edge region toward the longitudinal cutting edge; and at least one further hardening in the first cutting edge region to form a distal cutting edge region of the longitudinal cutting edge within the first cutting edge region having an increased material hardness with respect to the first cutting edge region located outside the distal cutting edge region.
Iron-based sintered alloy and method for producing the same
An iron-based sintered alloy, which has a composition including, in terms of percent by mass, Ti: 18.4 to 24.6%, Mo: 2.8 to 6.6%, C: 4.7 to 7.0%, Cr: 7.5 to 10.0%, Ni: 4.5 to 6.5%, Co: 1.5 to 4.5%, Al: 0.6 to 1.0%, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein the alloy has a structure in which hard particles are dispersed in an island form in a matrix, among other characteristics.
Anvil roll, rotary cutter, and method for cutting workpiece
A rotary cutter includes a die cut roll having a cutting blade, and an anvil roll positioned so that a roll surface faces the cutting blade. The roll surface of the anvil roll is made of a hard material including at least either cemented carbide or cermet. The Young's modulus of the hard material is between 300 GPa and 400 GPa. The Vickers hardness (Hv) of the hard material is 800 or more.
Press cutting die assembly
An assembly and method of forming a press cutting die that includes a cutting blade that is supported by a blade support assembly or blade support. The blade support includes a first base portion and a second base portion that are each contoured to cooperate with one another to capture a portion of the cutting blade along an interface between the first and second base portions. Preferably, one or more keys extend between the first and second base portions and traverse the geometric plane associated with the cutting blade. Such a press cutting die is particularly applicable for cutting biologically compatible materials having a desired shape from a bulk source of the biologically compatible material.
IRON-BASED SINTERED ALLOY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Produced is an iron-based sintered alloy in which hard particles derived from a titanium carbide powder are dispersed in the form of islands in a matrix comprising a two phase structure of austenite+martensite. The iron-based sintered alloy is obtained by mixing the titanium carbide powder, a Cr powder, a Mo powder, a Co powder, a Fe powder and a powder of Al, Ti or Nb so as to obtain a mixed powder that contains, in terms of mass %, 20-35% of titanium carbide, 3.0-12.0% of Cr, 3.0-8.0% of Mo, 8.0-23% of Ni, 0.6-4.5% of Co and 0.6-1.0% of Al, Ti or Nb, with the balance Fe, and then subjecting the mixed powder to cold isostatic compression molding, vacuum sintering and solution treatment.
