Precision adjustable miter gauge for a table saw

An adjustable miter gauge for use with a table saw includes a miter attachment and an adjustable guide bar coupled to the miter attachment. The miter attachment rests on a working surface of the table saw. The guide bar is received in a slot in the working surface. The guide bar includes a main body, which has first and second surfaces parallel to side walls of the slot, an adjustable body, which has a third surface parallel to the first surface, and a deformable biasing member. The adjustable body is coupled to the main body and slidable between a first position, wherein the second and third edge surfaces are coplanar, and a second position, wherein the second and third edge surfaces are not coplanar. The biasing member is arranged between the main body and the adjustable body and biases the adjustable body toward the second position.

Multipurpose cutter table

A multipurpose cutter table comprises a table member having a long hole in which a saw blade is installed; a pair of leg members foldably installed on a bottom surface of the table member and supporting the table member; a pair of side supporting members installed to be adjustable in length on both sides of the table member and to support a cutting object on both sides of the table member; and an upper surface supporting member foldably installed on an upper surface of the table member and installed so that the cutting object is placed on the upper surface of the table member. Accordingly, a cutting object longer than the table member can be stably placed by the side supporting member, the height of the horizontal fixed frame can be freely adjusted, and a huge working space placing a cutting object before and after cutting can be obtained.

User interface system in a table saw

A user interface device for a saw is mounted to an exterior of a housing in the saw. The user interface device includes a light emitting diode (LED) mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB), an antenna formed on the PCB, an optically opaque member with a first opening and a second opening, the first opening aligned with the LED, an optically translucent member engaging the second opening of the optically opaque member, and a base member connected to the PCB, optically opaque member, and optically translucent member, the base member being configured to be mounted to an exterior of a housing of the saw.

Kickback detection system

A method of detecting a kickback event for a table saw includes operatively connecting a stress sensor to the table saw that is configured to detect a characteristic of a work component of the table saw, the work component being coupled to a workpiece being cut by the table saw during a cutting operation. The stress sensor outputs stress signals indicative of the characteristic of the work component. A speed of the saw blade is then controlled based on the stress signals.

Table saw including storage mount for blade guard assembly

A table saw including a table, a saw unit, a storage mount bracket, and a blade guard assembly. The saw unit includes a saw blade and a riving knife. The saw blade is extendable through a slot in the table. The riving knife is positioned behind the saw blade and has a first mating interface. The storage mount bracket has a second mating interface complimentary to the first mating interface. The blade guard assembly is attachable to the first mating interface of the riving knife to cover at least a portion of the saw blade. The blade guard assembly is additionally attachable with the second mating interface to attach the blade guard assembly to the storage mount bracket when the blade guard assembly is removed from the riving knife.
