Stapler, post-processing apparatus and image forming system
A stapler includes a staple cartridge in which a staple is stored, a storage unit to which the staple cartridge is attached to be detachable, a staple ejecting unit which ejects out the staple to penetrate a paper sheet, a cutting unit which cuts a staple leg of the staple penetrating the paper sheet, a binding unit which binds the paper sheet by bending the staple leg of the staple penetrating the paper sheet, a cut staple storage unit which stores a cut staple that is cut by the cutting unit, and a discharge unit through which the cutting unit and the cut staple storage unit communicate with each other to guide the cut staple to the cut staple storage unit. The cut staple storage unit is attachable to and detachable from the stapler.
Stapling device with exchangeable driving tool
The invention relates to a device for stapling printed products, preferably automatically, comprising a stapling head for driving a staple through a printed-product back and a bender for bending the open ends of the staple. Said device is characterized in that the stapling head has a modular design, wherein the stapling head comprises a driving tool (1) and a driving-tool holder (2) for equipping with the driving tool, and wherein the driving tool can be fastened to the driving-tool holder in an exchangeable manner, e.g., by means of locking bolts (3) fastened to a crossmember (4) or by means of a groove (5)/feather-key connection. The invention further relates to a corresponding stapling head.

IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS AND BINDING DEVICE
An image forming system including an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet, a post-processing apparatus comprising a binding device configured to bind the sheet output from the image forming apparatus, and a control unit configured to control the binding device. The binding device is capable of executing binding processing via a staple forming process of forming a staple and moving the staple toward a striking-out position and a staple striking-out process of striking out the staple at the striking-out position. The control unit is configured to control the binding device to repeat multiple times the staple forming process without undergoing the staple striking-out process.
CARTRIDGE
A cartridge includes a staple support part provided on a front end face. The staple support part includes an inclined surface protruding obliquely from the front end face in a striking direction, and is configured to support a crown portion of the staple with the inclined surface and a pair of leg portions of the staple with side edge portions of the inclined surface. The side edge portion has: a connection portion continuing to the inclined surface and extending from the inclined surface in an opposite direction to a feeding direction of the staple, by a first length; and a leg portion contact portion extending with being folded from a tip end portion of the connection portion in the feeding direction by at least the first length, and configured to support corresponding one of the pair of leg portions from an inner side thereof.

SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet processing device includes a stapling unit that cuts off excess parts of a staple at a normal processing position, a container that stores the excess parts, the container having an upper end portion with an opening and being disposed below the stapling unit, a pair of electrodes disposed at a portion of a side wall of the upper end portion, the portion corresponding to the normal processing position, the pair of electrodes being exposed to inside the container, and a control unit for detecting that the excess parts in the container have reached the upper end portion when the pair of electrodes is short-circuited.
STAPLER
To provide a stapler in which a staple leg of a nonmetal staple can be reliably bent with a small number of components and a simple configuration so as to reduce a cost. A stapler includes a penetration mechanism and a bending mechanism. Hole parts are provided in a pair of cutting blades of the penetration mechanism. The bending mechanism includes first and second bending members which protrude from the hole parts toward between the pair of cutting blades to bend a pair of staple legs, guide surfaces which guide the first and second bending members, and a slide member which drives the first and second bending members. The first and second bending members are provided between the guide surfaces and the slide member.
STAPLER
The staple receiving portion includes a clamping potion exposed to the paper clamping portion and configured to clamp the sheets of paper, and a staple guide portion provided on an end portion of the clamping portion at a side thereof, on which the staple striking portion is located, and configured to guide the staple struck by the staple striking portion. The clamping portion is made configured of a resin material. The staple guide portion includes a staple leg support member provided on a side of the clamping portion opposite to a side thereof, on which the sheets of paper are clamped, and configured to support the staple legs of the staple struck by the staple striking portion, and a guide member provided to oppose the staple leg support member, the staple leg support member and the guide member are made configured of a metal material.
