SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES FOR SOIL AND SEED MONITORING
A soil apparatus (e.g., seed firmer) having a locking system is described herein. In one embodiment, the soil apparatus includes a lower base portion for engaging in soil of an agricultural field, an upper base portion, and a neck portion having protrusions to insert into the lower base portion of a base and then lock when a region of the upper base portion is inserted into the lower base portion and this region of the upper base portion presses the protrusions to lock the neck portion to the upper base portion.

Tillage and fertilizer knife attachment method
A tillage implement includes at least one row unit having at least one shank assembly. The shank assembly includes a shank engaged at one end to the at least one row unit and at an opposing end to a tool. Planar members are positioned on a portion of each lateral side of the shank and the tool. The shank includes at least two mounting features and the tool includes one mounting feature. Each planar member has at least two matching mounting features for the shank and at least one matching mounting feature for the tool. A first connecting member engages at least one of the at least two matching mounting features, and a second connecting member also engages one of the at least two matching mounting features. One additional connecting member engages one mounting feature of the tool and one matching mounting feature of each planar member.

GROUND ENGAGING TOOL CONTROL SYSTEM
An agricultural or construction implement comprises an implement frame. A ground engaging tool is coupled to the implement frame. A control system comprises a sensor that is positioned adjacent to the ground engaging tool. The sensor is configured for providing a signal indicative of a ground engaging tool status. A controller is communicatively coupled to the sensor. The controller comprises a data storage device and an electronic data processor. The data storage device is configured for storing instructions that are executable by the electronic data processor to cause the electronic data processor to receive the signal, determine the ground engaging tool status, and provide a signal to an operator.
WORK MACHINE CONTROL SYSTEMS TO MONITOR GROUND ENGAGEMENT TOOLS AND MAP OBSTACLES
Work machines, control systems for work machines, and methods of operating work machines are disclosed herein. A work machine includes a frame structure, a work implement, and a control system. The work implement is coupled to the frame structure and includes at least one ground engagement tool that is configured for movement in response to interaction with an underlying surface in use of the use work machine. The control system is coupled to the frame structure and includes a sensor mounted to the at least one ground engagement tool and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor.
TILLAGE AND FERTILIZER KNIFE ATTACHMENT METHOD
A tillage implement has row units with shank assemblies including shanks. The shank assemblies may be pivotally engaged with the row units and biased toward engagement with the ground using a spring member. A tool assembly is connected to each shank assembly by way of planar members on each lateral side of the shank. Each shank has at least two mounting features, and each planar member has at least two matching mounting features. A pivot member may be engaged with one of the mounting features of the shank and with one of the matching mounting features of each planar member. At least one shear member may be engaged with at least one of the mounting features of the shank and with at least one of the matching mounting features of each planar member. The shear member may minimize damage to the tool assembly, while the planar members may minimize misalignment.
