FORMWORK FOR PROVIDING A CONCRETE FOUNDATION ELEMENT, IN PARTICULAR A PLINTH WITH EXPOSED HORIZONTAL REINFORCING BARS, PLINTH PROVIDED WITH SUCH FORMWORK, AND STRUCTURE COMPRISING SUCH PLINTH
A formwork for providing a plinth with concrete frame and with exposed horizontal reinforcing bars, is disclosed. The framework has a base the shape of which in plan view corresponds to the concrete frame. Each side of the base is provided with inner and outer lateral containment walls which extend vertically from the base to make a casting chamber for the concrete. The inner walls have a plurality of openings for the insertion from above of a plurality of longitudinal reinforcing bars. At least one of the outer walls is provided with a plurality of openings for the insertion by transverse sliding of a plurality of transverse reinforcing bars. The openings are provided with inflatable elements which are configured to transition from a deflated configuration, in which the bars can freely slide in the openings, to an inflated configuration, in which the bars are locked in position. The chamber is watertight in order to prevent concrete from coming out during casting.
Modified pocket former
A pocket former includes a pocket former body and a keyway former. The pocket former is adapted to form a void in a concrete member allowing access to the stressing end of a post-tensioning tendon. The keyway former is adapted to form a keyway in the concrete to allow grout to be more securely retained in the void.
A CLIP
In summary, the invention provides a clip for use in the construction of a reinforced concrete panel, the panel being reinforced by a mesh comprising a plurality of parallel line wires and a plurality of parallel cross-wires connected to the line wires, the clip comprising: a base configured to engage a side wall that, in use, defines a formwork of the panel; and a body extending from the base, the body being configured to retain a line wire or a cross-wire of the mesh in an operative position of the mesh.
METHOD FOR MOULDING TUBULAR ELEMENTS MADE FROM A MATERIAL COMPRISING CEMENT, AND PILE THUS OBTAINED
A method for moulding a part, including the following steps: placing at least one pre-stressing device in a first element; placing the first element facing a second element; pre-stressing the at least one pre-stressing device; introducing ultra-high performance fibre concrete into the reception volume; controlling gradual modification of one of the elements; and removing the tubular element from the mould.
METHOD FOR MAKING REBAR ARRAYS
Rebar, also referred to as reinforcing bar, is typically used to reinforce concrete to improve the tensile strength of elements made of concrete when constructing buildings, factories, bridges, nuclear power plants and other structures. There is a method of constructing an array (711) of rebars, the method comprising: automatically positioning a plurality of rebar such that they are spaced apart from one another to form an array (711); using an array interval spacing means (709) to maintain the spatial relationship of the rebar in the array; releasing the array from the array interval spacing means such that the array is placed in a target location and orientation for casting into concrete; and removing the array interval spacing means.
POURED IN PLACE CONCRETE FORM
An apparatus for forming a support box is provided. The apparatus includes a base and an insert that is attachable to the base. With the insert attached to the base, at least one suitable material is receivable within the base and allowed to harden, thereby forming a support box with at least one space for receiving a headstone.
Method of forming a post-tensioned concrete member utilizing a pocket former with keyway former
A pocket former includes a pocket former body and a keyway former. The pocket former is adapted to form a void in a concrete member allowing access to the stressing end of a post-tensioning tendon. The keyway former is adapted to form a keyway in the concrete to allow grout to be more securely retained in the void.
POST WITH METAL CAGE REINFORCEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Described is a method of manufacturing a metal cage reinforced concrete post using off-the-shelf materials and tools. The reinforcement cage is manufactured using pre-fabricated wire mesh. The wire mesh is flattened and cut using a specific pattern that provides for elements analogous to rods, stirrups, and extensions that are used to space the cage within a mold to insure optimal placement during concrete forming. The purpose-cut wire mesh is formed into a cage-like shape by use of a bending press, a hydraulic molding press, hand tools or other suitable means. The extension elements are subsequently bent to form lateral and vertical spacer elements which center the cage within a mold. The cage is then placed within a forming mold and concrete, or another suitable material, is poured in. Once the material is dry, the reinforced post is removed from the mold fully formed.
Pipe collar, mold and method
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a pipe collar for a drainage pipe and a mold for the pipe collar, wherein the pipe collar is formed by positioning mold walls adjacent, atop and/or around a mold face, inserting one or more safety reinforcement handlock bar elements through one or more of the walls, filling the mold with a consolidating material and removing the walls. Upon removing the walls, a formed pipe collar can be lifted, moved and otherwise manipulated using the safety reinforcement handlock bar element(s) to position the pipe collar above a drainage pipe.
