ROW UNIT FOR WORK VEHICLE HAVING GAUGE WHEEL WITH ADJUSTABLE LATERAL POSITION
20190313566 · 2019-10-17 ·

A row unit for a work vehicle includes a row unit frame, a gauge wheel, and a gauge wheel coupling assembly that attaches the gauge wheel to the row unit frame at a lateral position with respect to the row unit frame. The gauge wheel coupling assembly supports the gauge wheel for lateral movement to change the lateral position of the gauge wheel. The gauge wheel coupling assembly includes a course adjust coupling and a fine adjust coupling. The course adjust coupling is configured for selectively adjusting, at a first increment, the lateral position of the gauge wheel. The fine adjust coupling is configured for selectively adjusting, at a second increment, the lateral position of the gauge wheel. The first increment is larger than the second increment.

Adjustable lift assist frame for an agricultural implement

In one embodiment, an agricultural system includes a tool bar configured to couple to a tow vehicle. The tool bar is configured to support at least one row unit assembly. The agricultural system also includes a lift assist assembly coupled to the tool bar such that rotation of the tool bar relative to the lift assist assembly about a vertical axis is blocked. The lift assist assembly is configured to provide lifting support to the tool bar. The lift assist assembly comprises a frame, one or more rolling elements configured to contact a surface of a field, and one or more telescoping members configured to adjust a configuration of the lift assist assembly along at least one of a lateral axis, a longitudinal axis, and the vertical axis.

Tread width connections

An agricultural machine such as a high clearance sprayer is provided with a frame capable of supporting wheels at a variable tread width. The frame includes a first cross member and a second cross member, both of which have slider receivers formed in an outer edge of either side of the frame. The machine also includes a first axle slider for a first side and a second axle slider for a second side. Each axle slider includes a pair of axle slider legs configured to be telescopically inserted into and out of the respective slider receiver, as well as a main slider body extending between the pair of axle slider legs. The axle sliders are configured to support a pair of wheels on either side of the frame. Additionally, actuators are mounted within the cross members that enable the telescopic movement of the axle sliders relative to the cross members.

Input Source And Speed Based Control Of Track-Width In A Self-Propelled Agricultural Product Applicator

A track-width adjustment system, apparatus and method limit track-width adjustments in a self-propelled product applicator, according to a first speed-based protocol for track-width adjustments initiated by an operator of the applicator, and according to a second speed-based protocol for track-width adjustments initiated by an automatic track-width control arrangement of the applicator. An automatic track-width control arrangement continually monitors and adjusts track-width, as required to maintain a desired track-width at substantially any ground speed while the applicator is in motion. Operator initiated adjustments to track-width are allowed only within a prescribed range of ground speeds.

IMPLEMENT FRAME CONVERTIBLE BETWEEN FIELD AND TRANSPORT POSITIONS

An implement frame having a carriage frame for coupling to a towing vehicle and wheels to support the frame for movement over a ground surface. A pivot frame is rotationally mounted to the carriage frame and a lift assembly is coupled to the pivot frame via a shift assembly. A tool bar is mounted to the lift assembly. The shift assembly moves the tool bar forward as it is moved from the field use position to the transport position. The wheels are mounted to swing arms to move the wheels inward for a narrow transport position. All motion is accomplished through actuators, such as hydraulic cylinders, to automate the process making it quick and easy.

Transport wheel arrangement for a crop harvesting header

A header for a crop harvesting machine includes front and rear wheel arrangements that pivot about respective upright axis between a field orientation and a perpendicular transport orientation, while having respective suspensions arrangements movable between different suspended heights. A biasing spring provides lift assist to carry weight of the wheel arrangement during adjustment of the suspension elevation while being isolated from the suspension once set at any one elevation. The front wheel arrangement includes an anti-rotation latch that locks the front wheel in the field orientation automatically upon disconnection of a hitch arm. A second wheel of the rear wheel arrangement can be held in a raised position relative to a first wheel in a field orientation. Load bearing surfaces between the suspended rear wheels and the header frame abut one another when latching to the header frame to isolate the suspension from the header frame in the transport orientation.

Protected Tread Widening For Self-Propelled Sprayer

A protected tread widening system for a self-propelled high clearance sprayer. The system includes a frame with side rails and a first cross member and a second cross member extending between the opposite side rails, with the cross members being substantially hollow. Each of the cross members form slider receivers. The system also includes axle slider assemblies that are telescopically inserted into the slider receivers. Additionally, actuators are mounted within the cross members. These actuators are secured to the frame and to the axle slider assemblies to allow for telescopic movement of the axle slider assemblies into and out of the cross members. The actuators run substantially through a central axis of the first cross member and a central axis of the second cross member. This minimizes the bending moment of each actuator. Additionally, this system isolates the actuators from materials outside of the cross members.
