METHOD FOR DETERMINING DENSITY OF FRESH CONCRETE, COMPUTING DEVICE AND SYSTEM THEREFORE
There is disclosed a computer-implemented method for determining a density value of a fresh concrete sample using an acoustic probe assembly. The acoustic probe assembly has an acoustic path, an acoustic emitter configured to emit an acoustic signal along the acoustic path, and an acoustic receiver configured to receive the acoustic signal after propagation along the acoustic path. The acoustic probe assembly is configured and adapted to generate an electromagnetic signal indicative of a duration of time taken by the acoustic signal to travel from the acoustic emitter to the acoustic receiver across the fresh concrete sample. The method generally has a step of determining the duration of time based on the electromagnetic signal, a step of matching the duration to a density value using reference data, and a step of displaying the density value.
Post-batching CMA dosing into concrete
Disclosed are dosing methods for mitigating the deleterious effect of clays, which are born or conveyed by sand aggregates, crushed rock, gravel, and other aggregates used in the manufacture of concrete, upon the dosage efficiency of cement dispersants added into concrete. Instead of introducing the entire cement mitigation agent (CMA) into the aggregate material at a quarry or upon batching in the mix plant in a singular, upfront dose, the present invention comprises combining at least 51% and up to 100%, and, most preferably, at least 75% and up to 100%, of the total dosage amount of the CMAs into a given concrete mix batch during the transit portion of the delivery between initial batching at the mix plant and the pour event at the job site.
LOW-DENSITY HIGH-STRENGTH CONCRETE AND RELATED METHODS
A low-density, high-strength concrete composition that is both self-compacting and lightweight, with a low weight-fraction of aggregate to total dry raw materials, and a highly-homogenous distribution of a non-absorptive and closed-cell lightweight aggregate such as glass microspheres or copolymer polymer beads or a combination thereof, and the steps of providing the composition or components. Lightweight concretes formed therefrom have low density, high strength-to-weight ratios, and high R-value. The concrete has strength similar to that ordinarily found in structural lightweight concrete but at an oven-dried density as low as 40 lbs./cu.ft. The concrete, at the density ordinarily found in structural lightweight concrete, has a higher strength and, at the strength ordinarily found in structural lightweight concrete, a lower density. Such strength-to-density ratios range approximately from above 30 cu.ft/sq.in. to above 110 cu.ft/sq.in., with a 28-day compressive strength ranging from about 3400 to 8000 psi.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATMENT OF CONCRETE WASH WATER
The invention provides methods and compositions for treating wash water from concrete production with carbon dioxide. The treated wash water can be reused as mix water in fresh batches of concrete.
CONCRETE SENSOR SYSTEM
A mixer vehicle includes a mixer drum, a first acceleration sensor, a second acceleration sensor, and a controller. The first acceleration sensor is configured to produce first acceleration signals and the second acceleration sensor is configured to measure accelerations within the mixer drum to produce second acceleration signals. The controller is configured to receive the first acceleration signals from the first acceleration sensor and second acceleration signals from the second acceleration sensor. The controller is further configured to determine a presence of material within the mixer drum based on the first acceleration signals and the second acceleration signals. The controller is further configured to determine one or more properties of the material within the mixer drum based on the first acceleration signals and the second acceleration signals.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
An inference system for monitoring a cementitious mixture for three-dimensional printing is provided. The inference system includes an ambient condition sensor, a temperature sensor, a moisture sensor and an image capturing device. The inference system also includes a controller coupled to the ambient condition sensor, the temperature sensor, the moisture sensor, and the image capturing device. The controller receives sensed ambient conditions, a temperature signal, and a moisture content signal. The controller receives an image feed of a portion of a cementitious mixture. The controller also receives signals indicative of a motor speed and a motor torque associated with a mixing container. The controller builds a model and determines a material suitability of the cementitious mixture using the model based on the received ambient conditions, the temperature signal, the moisture content signal, the image feed, the motor speed, and the motor torque and determines one or more corrective actions.
Methods and compositions for concrete production
The invention provides compositions and methods directed to carbonation of a cement mix during mixing. The carbonation may be controlled by one or more feedback mechanisms to adjust carbon dioxide delivery based on one or more characteristics of the mix or other aspects of the mixing operation.

CONNECTED MIXER WITH AUTOMOUS DISCHARGE
A vehicle includes a prime mover, a mixer drum assembly configured to selectively discharge a contents thereof, and a control system having a sensor. The control system is configured to detect, via the sensor, a state of a receiving device that is configured to receive the contents discharged from the mixer drum assembly, determine a desired state of the receiving device, adjust a vehicle state to reduce a difference between the state of the receiving device and the desired state of the receiving device, and cause a presentation of an indication of the adjustment of the vehicle state.
Method and device for producing ceramic formed body
A method for producing a ceramic formed body comprises: a wet mixing step of adding a liquid containing water to ceramic raw material mixed powder and subjecting it to wet mixing in a continuous mixer; and an extrusion molding step of feeding the wet mixed powder obtained in the wet mixing step to an extruder by a belt feeder and extruding the wet mixed powder. In the method for producing the ceramic formed body, an amount of the wet mixed powder fed to the extruder is adjusted based on an amount of mass change of the wet mixed powder stored in a reservoir provided between the continuous mixer and the belt feeder.
