A power tool for forming a channel in a work surface includes a first section carrying a rotatable shaft having a shaft axis and a second section that engages the work surface; a cutting disc having a substantially circular blade provided on the rotatable shaft; a first support portion on one side of the cutting disc and a second support portion on the opposite side of the cutting disc which cooperate to hold the cutting disc at an oblique angle relative to the shaft axis. A first locking feature of the first support portion and a second locking feature of the second support portion extend through a circular opening of the cutting disc and cooperate to resist relative rotation of the first and second support portions. The first section is movable relative to the second section to move the cutting disc into and out of engagement with the work surface.

Core drilling methods and devices

Methods and devices for the execution of core drillings in a material by a drilling unit, which makes use of a drill bit, and such drill bits that are made up of a hollow cylindrical core barrel, which has an end plate at its rear end and abrasion elements, which serve the abrasion of material, at the front end as well as at least two high-pressure jet nozzles, which can be connected with a high-pressure source of a blasting medium. The high-pressure jet nozzles are arranged on the inner surface of the core barrel and/or its end plate and are oriented into the inside of the core barrel. As a result of a combined forward motion and rotation of the drill bit, a drilling core is formed from which an abrasion takes place by means of the blasting medium, whereby overburden is removed from the drill bit.

Support assembly for a core drill

A support assembly for a core drill uses an improved reinforcement. The reinforcement can include an extension extending between a center of the tool and a perimeter of the tool the extension can be a non-planar structure having a channel along a portion of the structure. The reinforcement can include a slanted element that can be associated with the extension, that can be formed monolithic with the extension, or otherwise combined with an extension. Multiple slanted elements can be used to form an extension. A top plate can be included for strengthening the reinforcement.

Apparatus and Methods for Improved Hole Saw Drilling

The present disclosure is directed to a novel hole saw assembly for use with a removable guide or pilot drill bit in which either or both of a cutting device on the hole saw and/or the tip of the removable pilot drill comprise a hard material, such as diamond or tungsten carbide, or another hard material. The novel hole saw assembly is configured to improve the function of keeping the cutting edge of the cutting device properly located during the hole saw cutting or drilling process, especially when cutting or drilling a hole in materials with surfaces that are hard or slippery, such as stone, glass, certain metals or porcelain, or ceramic floor, ceiling or wall tile.

Self-Hammering Cutting Tool

A cutting tool with a plurality of cutting elements connected to a support structure wherein a portion of the support structure is configured to flex or bend based on the rotational frequency of the cutting tool. The rotational frequency of the cutting tool is a product of the design and composition of the tool.

Cutting plate and manufacturing method

The cutting plate 12 includes a base body 22 made of a sintered hard metal. On a top side 23 of the base body 22 there are one or multiple intermediate layers 25 that include an adhesion-promoting layer 26. The adhesion-promoting layer 26 is made of a boron-containing nitride of a transition metal of group IV, group V, and group VI, and contains a plurality of small plates 31 oriented at an angle relative to the top side 23. A diamond layer that is grown on the adhesion-promoting layer 26 includes stalk-shaped crystals, oriented vertically relative to the top side 23, having an aspect ratio greater than three.

Core drill bit

A core drill bit can include a first region and a second region. The first region can include abrasive particles in a first bond matrix, and the second region can include abrasive particles in a second bond matrix. The first region is connected to the second region. A composition of the first bond matrix can be different from a composition of the second matrix. In a particular embodiment, the first bond matric can include a Co-containing material.

Drill bit with an exchangeable cutting portion

A drill bit has a cutting portion having an annular portion, where the annular portion has a first end on which is disposed a cutting element and a second end that includes an outer insertion element and a stop shoulder. The drill bit has a drill shaft portion having a cylindrical drill shaft, where the drill shaft has an inner insertion element with an end face on a side of the drill shaft facing the cutting portion. The outer insertion element and the inner insertion element together form a plug connection in an insertion direction that is parallel to the axis of rotation and the insertion elements are connectable to each other via a pin element that is movable into a slot-shaped recess. The pin element is attached to an outside of the inner insertion element and the outer insertion element has the slot-shaped recess.

The present invention is an accessory device that hole coring machine, wherein the hole coring machine is utilized to quickly and efficiently core holes in concrete and asphalt. The accessory device comprises a stabilizer assembly that is coupled to a base of the hole coring machine. The stabilizer assembly includes at least one stabilizing frame that is formed to the outside diameter of a drill saw bit of the hole coring machine. The at least one stabilizing frame is coupled to an air compressor that causes the stabilizing frame to move relative to the drill saw bit during operation of the hole coring machine. The at least one stabilizing frame aids in maintaining the shape of the drill saw bit and reduces vibration and binding of the drill saw bit while forming a hole in concrete and/or asphalt.
