Pivotable lift assist assembly for an agricultural implement
In one embodiment, an agricultural implement system includes a pivotable lift assembly. The pivotable lift assembly includes a first bar member and a second bar member rotatively coupled to the first bar member. The pivotable lift assembly further includes a first wheel assembly disposed on a first end of the second bar member and a second wheel assembly disposed on a second end of the second bar member. The pivotable lift assembly also includes an attachment assembly configured to attach the pivotable lift assembly to an agricultural implement, wherein the pivotable lift assembly is configured to aid in carrying a weight of the agricultural implement.
Device and method for regulating the operation of a hydraulically operated towing unit on a vehicle
A device for a vehicle, in particular a tractor, with a hydraulic actuating unit for regulating the operation of a towing unit on the vehicle comprises at least one speed detecting unit with two distance determining sensors positioned one after the other in the direction of travel of the vehicle and directed toward the ground and an analysis unit as well as data communications connections to a vehicle operating system and a hydraulic operating system associated with the hydraulic actuating unit.
AUXILIARY TOOL ASSEMBLY FOR AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
In one aspect, an auxiliary tool assembly for an agricultural implement may be configured to support a finishing tool(s) at a location at or adjacent to the aft end of the implement. The auxiliary tool assembly may include a support arm extending lengthwise between a proximal end and a distal end, with the proximal end of the support arm being pivotally coupled to a portion of the implement at or adjacent to its aft end so that the tool assembly is pivotable relative to the implement between a work position and a transport position. In addition, the finishing tool(s) may be configured to be coupled to or otherwise supported relative to the ground by the support arm at a location between its proximal and distal ends. Moreover, the auxiliary tool assembly may include one or more surface-engaging wheels coupled to the distal end of the support arm.
METHOD OF PROVIDING A BALLASTING PROPOSAL
A method for making available a ballasting proposal for an agricultural tractor includes providing an implement for the tractor, calculating a target tractive power for the implement for each axle of the agricultural tractor, and deriving a target value for an axle load to be maintained on each axle based upon a function of the calculated target tractive power. The method further includes determining an actual axle load on each axle, comparing the target value to the actual axle load, calculating an axle ballasting value based on a result of the comparing step required to maintain the target valve, and outputting the ballasting value.
AGRICULTURAL TOOLBAR APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems, methods and apparatus for shifting weight between a tractor and toolbar and between sections of the toolbar, for controlling operative height of a toolbar and sections of a toolbar and for folding a toolbar between a work position and a transport position. A ground engaging wheel and an actuator are coupled to the toolbar. In one embodiment, a fluid control system is responsive to a command signal to modify the actuator pressure such that the actuator pressure corresponds to a desired pressure.
Method for determining a mass of an attached implement for a utility vehicle
A method for determining a mass of an implement attached to a vehicle includes providing a powerlift having at least one upper link and one lower link, a support structure, and the implement. The method also includes defining an angle () between the upper link and a vehicle horizontal line, an angle () between the lower link and a vehicle horizontal line, an angle of inclination () of a vehicle horizontal line relative to a terrestrial horizontal line, a path (AK) that represents a connection along the lower link between the support structure and the implement, and a force (F.sub.E) impinging on a connection between the upper link and the implement and acting along the upper link. The mass is determined as a function of at least one of the angle (), the angle (), the angle of inclination (), the path (AK), and the force (F.sub.E).
Mounted implement weight transfer
A seed planting apparatus includes a toolbar mounted on a tractor for traversing the ground in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the toolbar. A plurality of seeding units are spaced laterally across the toolbar for ground penetration and planting of seeds. A ground engaging wheel is provided and a linkage connects the wheel to the toolbar for up and down movement relative to the ground. An actuator interconnects the toolbar to at least one of the linkage and wheel for selectively elevating the wheel. A bulk seed hopper is supported adjacent the wheel and a control system determines a parameter associated with the toolbar and raises and lowers the wheel to transfer weight from the bulk feed hopper to and from the toolbar.
DEVICE FOR INFLUENCING THE VERTICAL DYNAMICS OF AN AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE
A device for influencing vertical dynamics of an agricultural vehicle includes a mass mounted on the agricultural vehicle, a positioning system for controlling movement of the mass in vertical direction, a sensor device configured to detect a surface profile of an upcoming vehicle path segment, and an electronic control unit adapted to calculate an expected disturbance input for the upcoming vehicle path segment based on the detected surface profile. The electronic control unit operably controls the positioning system to execute a compensation movement of the vehicle that reduces the expected disturbance input by means of the mass.
