A pumpable resin system for installation of mine bolts includes a resin injection cylinder comprising a resin chamber and a resin hydraulic cylinder, a catalyst injection cylinder including a catalyst chamber and a catalyst hydraulic cylinder, with the resin hydraulic cylinder synchronized with the catalyst hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic pump in fluid communication with the resin hydraulic cylinder and the catalyst hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic reservoir in fluid communication with the hydraulic pump, and a delivery line in fluid communication with the resin injection cylinder and the catalyst injection cylinder. The delivery line is configured to deliver resin and catalyst from the resin injection cylinder and catalyst injection cylinder into a borehole.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR RANDOMIZING FIBER ADDITIVES IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
An extrusion system including an extruder screw housed in a barrel, a nozzle heater coupled to the barrel, a printing nozzle coupled to the nozzle heater, and a randomizing element at least partially in the printing nozzle. The randomizing element is configured to randomize the orientation of fiber elements and/or fillers in an extrusion melt traveling through the extrusion system. Increasing the randomization of the fiber orientations in the melt composition improves the physical and thermal properties of a printed bead printed by the extrusion system.
Temperature conditioned two component mixer manifold
A system that provides for simultaneous thermal regulation of both components of a two-component system, while maintaining their separation prior to introduction into a conventional static mixer element, in order to assure that the mixed fluid, when dispensed, is at the optimal temperature and viscosity. The thermal capacity can be adjusted by altering the configuration to increase or decrease the thermal transfer area as required for each specific application.
BULKED CONTINUOUS CARPET FILAMENT MANUFACTURING FROM POLYTRIMETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE
A method of manufacturing bulked continuous carpet filament from polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) comprises: (1) splitting the PTT stream extruded from the primary extruder into a number of polymer streams, each of the plurality of polymer streams having an associated spinning machine; (2) adding a colorant to each split polymer stream; (3) adding PET to the extruded polymer stream downstream of the primary extruder; (4) using one or more static mixing assemblies for each split polymer stream to substantially uniformly mix each split polymer stream and its respective colorant and PET; and (5) spinning each polymer stream with its substantially uniformly mixed colorant and any additives into BCF using the respective spinning machine.
POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE COLORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Method and system for manufacturing bulked continuous filament having tonal coloring from PET comprising: an extruder (202); a static mixing assembly (208) coupled to the extruder and comprising a housing and one or more individual static mixing elements disposed within the housing; the method and system further comprising a plurality of colorant ports along a length of the static mixing assembly such that each of the plurality of colorant ports is configured to provide colorant (204) to a polymer stream at a different location along the length of the static mixing assembly, and one or more spinning machines (212) positioned downstream of the static mixing assembly and coupled to the static mixing assembly to receive the colored polymer stream. The spinning machine(s) may be configured to form the colored polymer stream into bulked continuous carpet filament having a tonal color effect.
Installation and method for manufacturing cross-linkable polyethylene compounds
An installation for manufacturing cross-linkable polyethylene compounds which comprises a melting machine (101), a melt pump (102) and a filtration unit (103) to produce cross-linkable polyethylene compounds that may be further used for manufacturing insulating parts of medium, high and extra-high voltage power cables, and a method for manufacturing such cross-linkable polyethylene compounds.
Method for compounding and applying adhesives
The invention relates to continuous methods for compounding and applying adhesives, characterized in that (i) a base component of the adhesive is mixed continuously with at least one aggregate so as to produce a compounded adhesive; and (ii) the adhesive compounded in this manner is applied to a substrate. The invention also relates to such methods where a device as described here is used to carry out the method.
Modular reactor
Modular microreactors are provided composed of microreactor parts including a plate body which has, on one plate side, a groove-shaped depression in which a reactor tube is accommodated, and the reaction tube has connection ends on the outer sides of the plate body. Also disclosed are reaction tubes for turbulent mixing, kits for producing the reactors and the use thereof for commencing chemical reactions.
DEVICE FOR APPLYING COMPOUNDS AND THE USE THEREOF
An application device for paste-like and/or flowable material, including a housing with a feed region for material and at least one discharge region for material. At least one mixing region is formed between the feed region for material and the discharge region for material and the at least one mixing region is designed as at least one mixing device.
Dispensing system for mixture of two components and static mixing nozzle therefor
Dispensing system for dispensing a mixture of a first component and a second component, the dispensing system comprising: (i) a dispensing gun comprising an inlet body with a first passage for feeding in the first component under pressure and a second passage for feeding in the second component under pressure, the first and second passages respectively comprising a closable first outlet and a closable second outlet, which may be operable by means of a handle or trigger of the dispensing gun; (ii) a static mixing nozzle, detachably connectable to the outlets of the body and provided for mixing and dispensing the components, the static mixing nozzle comprising a first section containing a first chamber and a second chamber for conducting the first and second component respectively and a second section, subsequent to the first section (in forwards flow direction), containing a mixing chamber with static mixing elements which promote mixing the first and second components and conducting the mixture to a nozzle tip serving as an outlet for the mixture. According to the invention, at least one of the first and second chambers of the static mixing nozzle contains a series of static backflow prevention elements, arranged for hindering backflow of the respective component within the respective chamber.
