MIXING AND EXTRUSION MACHINE WITH SELF-CLEANING TWIN SCREW AND METHOD OF USE
A mixing and extrusion machine (10) for the manufacture of rubber mixtures has a mixer with a converging conical twin screw (12) with a fixed frame (14) that supports sleeves (16). Two screws (18), being mounted at an angle, are mounted in the mixer (12) so as to move in translational movement between an opening (22) arranged upstream and an outlet (25) arranged downstream of the sleeves, so that the thread tips of each screw contact tangentially the surfaces of the opposite screw so that the screws remain substantially in contact with each other when the screws rotate at an angle and at a center distance that facilitates self-cleaning. The screw threads maintain tangential contact with the inner surfaces of the sleeves, thus preventing the retention of mixing material on these surfaces.
EXTRUDER AND EXTRUSION DIE
A die attached to a cylinder of an extruder includes: an inflow port for supplying a molten resin from the cylinder; a plurality of hole portions for discharging a strand made of the molten resin; a resin flow path portion 22 extending in a flow path direction that leads to the plurality of hole portions from the inflow port; and a plate member 11 movable in an up-and-down direction so as to protrude toward the resin flow path portion 22. The plate member 11 is arranged along an X direction, and both end portions of the plate member 11 in the X direction move in an up-and-down direction so as to contact with an inner wall of the resin flow path portion 22. A protrusion amount t1 of the plate member 11 into the resin flow path portion 22 becomes small from a central portion in the X direction toward both end portions.
Starting-valve throttle device for delivering a melt from a screw extruder, and system for preparing bulk material having a starting-valve throttle device of this type, and method for delivering a melt from a screw extruder by means of a starting-valve throttle device of this type
A starting-valve throttle device has a housing having a housing recess which is configured therein and in which a switching member is repositionable between an evacuation position and a delivery position. The switching member in the evacuation position configures an evacuation duct which connects an entry duct to an evacuation opening. The switching member in the delivery position configures a passage duct which connects the entry duct to a delivery duct. A throttle member is disposed in the passage duct so as to be repositionable relative to the switching member. On account thereof, a melt flowing through the passage duct is capable of being throttled in a desired manner. The starting-valve throttle device is constructed so as to be simple, compact and reliable. The operation of the starting-valve throttle device and an associated screw extruder is simple and energy-efficient.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AND CONDITIONING A MULTI-COMPONENT MIXTURE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DEVICE OF THIS KIND
The invention relates to a device for producing and processing a multi-component mixture, the device comprising a mixing chamber which has an outlet, wherein the device has a closure element which can be moved in the direction of a longitudinal axis L of the mixing chamber in order to open or close the outlet of the mixing chamber; wherein the device has an apparatus for controlling an axial speed of the closure element, the apparatus comprising: a hydraulic system in which a hydraulic fluid is guided; a cylinder which is connected to the nozzle closure element and cooperates with at least one chamber of the hydraulic system; and a controllable throttle gap arranged in the hydraulic system.
MIXING METHOD AND SYSTEM THEREOF
A mixing method provided by the invention comprises steps of melting a solid-state polymer raw material into a flowable molten raw material fluid to flow into a mixing space at a first volume flow rate, when the raw material fluid entering the mixing space, introducing a foaming agent in a fluid form into the mixing space simultaneously or at a different time, mixing the foaming agent with the molten raw material fluid into a mixture in the mixing space, circulating the mixture in the mixing space at a second volume flow rate, and causing the second volume flow rate greater than the first volume flow rate.
Mixing of extrudable plastics with small amounts of other substances
A main extruder and a side arm extruder are used in the extrusion of plastics with small amounts of additives or other small substances to be admixed. A minor portion of the plastic material is premixed with small quantity additive substances in a side arm extruder. The premixed material is discharged from the side arm extruder into the main extruder and there mixed with a major portion of feed material.
Expanded pellets and method for manufacturing molded components using them
The invention refers to a method for producing expanded polymer pellets, which comprises the following steps: melting a polymer comprising a polyamide; adding at least one blowing agent; expanding the melt through at least one die for producing an expanded polymer; and pelletizing the expanded polymer. The invention further concerns polymer pellets produced with the method as well as their use, e.g. for the production of cushioning elements for sports apparel, such as for producing soles or parts of soles of sports shoes. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method for the manufacture of molded components, comprising loading pellets of an expanded polymer material into a mold, and connecting the pellets by providing heat energy, wherein the expanded polymer material of the pellets or beads comprises a chain extender. The molded components may be used in broad ranges of application.
MOLDED RESIN BODY PRODUCTION METHOD
Provided is a method for producing a resin molded article, capable of reducing deterioration of resin during melt extrusion. The method includes passing a resin fed from a hopper for resin through a molding machine provided with the hopper, an extruder, and a pressure control device in this order, to produce a resin molded article, the resin pressure between a tip of the extruder and an inlet port for resin of the pressure control device being 15.0 MPa or lower.
Granulator, nozzle arrangement for a granulator, and relevant operating method
A nozzle arrangement for a granulator has a nozzle body with an inlet side as well as an outlet side, a nozzle plate with nozzle holes arranged on the outlet side for forming melt strands, and flow channels formed in the nozzle body and connected to the inlet side and the outlet side in a fluid-conducting manner for supplying a melt flow to a nozzle plate. An annular connection channel connects a plurality of flow channels in a fluid-conducting manner. A method for separating a melt flow into melt strands is also described.
3D Printer for the Production of Spatial Plastic Molded Parts
3D printing of moldings takes place by an extruder in which solid plastic is melted, the melt being discharged through a die which can be closed completely or partially or opened completely or partially and the melt which is not discharged through the die is returned into the extruder.
