DIE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DIE, EXTRUDER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PELLET
A performance of a die is improved. An injection hole IH, a nozzle NZa and a nozzle NZb are formed in a center member DIa of a die DI to extend from an extrusion surface ES to an injection surface IS. A heat source HT and a plurality of heat insulating layers HI1 are arranged inside the center member DIa. One of the plurality of heat insulating layers HI1 is adjacent to the nozzle Nzb and is closer to the extrusion surface ES than the heat source HT. The other of the plurality of heat insulating layers HI1 extends in a direction from the extrusion surface ES toward the injection surface IS at a position being farther from the nozzle NZb than the heat source HT.

A machine for producing a foam-in-bag dunnage material comprises first and second foam precursor inlets for first and second foam precursor substances, a first mixing chamber for mixing the first and second foam precursor substances into a first mixture, and a first dispenser for dispensing the first mixture. It is proposed that the machine comprises a branch-off-device fluidly arranged between the first and second foam precursor inlets and the first mixing chamber and having first and second foam precursor outlets towards the first mixing chamber and third and fourth foam precursor outlets towards an interface device, the interface device being adapted to fluidly connect to a second mixing chamber for mixing the first and second foam precursor substances into a second mixture.
Novel Wood-Plastic Composite Material, Products, and Processes for Making Same
A manufacturing process for a material includes the steps of impregnating a predetermined amount of cellulose fibers with a predetermined amount of clay particulates, adding a predetermined amount of plastic, applying high heat to carbonize the combined materials and manipulating the combined materials while applying heat, and forming the carbonized combined materials by one of extrusion, casting, stamping, and as a 3-D printing filament
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A RUBBER COMPOUND USED FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AN ARTICLE MADE FROM RUBBER OR A PNEUMATIC TIRE TECHNICAL SECTOR
A method and an apparatus (1) for the production of a compound used for the manufacture of an article made from rubber or a pneumatic tyre by means of a continuous mixer (2) divided into a mixing section (MS) wherein the mixing of the components of the compound being processed exclusively takes place; a reaction section (RS) located downstream of the mixing section (MS) wherein a mild reaction of the compound being processed is activated; wherein, the reaction section (RS) is provided with heating means for increasing the temperature of the compound being processed in relation to the temperature of the compound being processed within the mixing section (MS); and a cooling section (CS) located downstream of the reaction section (RS) and provided with means for the cooling of the compound being processed down to a temperature that will inhibit further development of the reaction that takes place within the reaction section (RS).
PROCESS FOR FEEDING PLASTIC WASTE MATERIAL TO A THERMOCHEMICAL OR PYROLYSIS REACTOR
Process for feeding plastic material, e.g. a plastic waste, to a processor such as a thermochemical reactor, e.g. a pyrolysis reactor. The process comprises an optional shredder or disintegrator (1), a conveying system (2), a feed hopper (3) with a lock hopper or rotary valve, a melting tank (6) with an agitator (5) followed by a melt pump (7) for the delivery of molten plastic to the processor. The advantage of the current process includes the ability to supply a consistent, metered flow to the processor, independent of the recycled plastic's melt properties, or the form or particle size and distribution of the plastic material.
Method for the preparation of biofilm carrier with biochar fixed by thermoplastic resin
The invention, belonging to the field of biological treatment of pollutants and functional materials, presents a method for the preparation of biofilm carrier with biochar fixed by thermoplastic resin. Extrusion grade polyethylene/polypropylene particles are used as the basic material. One or some combination of plant biochar, straw biochar, rice husk biochar, shell biochar, excess sludge and animal waste biochar are used as the functional material. The biofilm carrier with biochar fixed by thermoplastic resin is prepared by the screw extrusion process, which is a simple, flexible and controllable method, and possesses strong adaptability. The reactor with these biofilm carriers has high removal efficiency of refractory organic pollutants.
ROTARY EXTRUDER
The present rotary extruder includes: a rotor having a cylindrical surface centered on a rotor axis extending in a horizontal direction; and a casing having an inner peripheral surface that defines a bore, wherein: the casing defines an input port into which a resin material including a thermoplastic resin is fed, and a discharge port from which a plasticized molten resin is discharged; the cylindrical surface of the rotor and the inner peripheral surface of the casing are arranged eccentric with each other, thereby forming a gap whose cross section is crescent-shaped, extending in a rotation direction of the rotor from the input port to the discharge port between the inner peripheral surface and the cylindrical surface; and the input port is arranged at a top portion of the casing and the discharge port is arranged at a lower portion of the casing.
MIXING DEVICE AND METHODS OF OPERATION
Apparatus for mixing polymer, the apparatus comprising (i) a mixer housing including an internal chamber, said internal chamber having first and second sections in fluid communication with each other through a passageway; (ii) a first ram received in said first section; and (iii) a second ram received in said second section, where the apparatus is adapted to receive a composition including polymer within said internal chamber and move said composition between said first and second chambers through said passageway by operation of said first and second rams.
Extrusion system for 3-D printing of viscous elastomers
Disclosed is direct ink write (DIW) print extrusion head for 3D printing of viscous elastomers. The disclosed print extrusion head comprises a mixer assembly, comprising a fluid distribution cap coupled to a carrier, an in-line mixer coupled to the fluid distribution cap. A cooling jacket surrounds the in-line mixer. A nozzle is coupled to the in-line mixer and protrudes below the cooling jacket over a work surface. The position of the nozzle relative to the work surface is changeable. At least one heat source is on the chassis and disposed adjacent to the fluid distribution cap. The at least one heat source comprises a heat guiding element to direct heat to a region onto the work surface below the nozzle.
